Chapter 454 - This Is Tang Moyu, My Wife (2)

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean, Uncle?! I didn't force Moyu to marry me at all!" The devil scowled at the blatant accusation. He might not have a loving father growing up, but this old man in front of him was the one who taught him everything he knew until now.

He and Song Fengyan had spent a lot of time together, accompanying and helping Uncle Yang tidying up his vast collection of books at his home. After his nasty accident five years ago, it was Uncle Yang who suggested that he try writing novels for publication.

It was supposed to be some kind of therapy for Feng Tianyi to help him calm his nerves, and to give him mental clarity while being stucked on his wheelchair, but none of them had expected that his first published novel would be so popular under his pseudonym, Qin Jiran.

"What? Don't think I don't know how your mind works, Tianyi. I wasn't born yesterday!" Yang Huan narrowed his eyes suspiciously on the devil.

"That's pretty obvious, Uncle." Feng Tianyi muttered to himself.

"What did you say?" The old man glared at him ferociously.

Feng Tianyi looked away and said, "nothing..."

Sighing to himself, Yang Huan rubbed his temple before gesturing for the two to follow him to a vacant office. He took a seat and allowed Feng Tianyi to serve him a cup of tea before taking a seat next to the empress.

"So when did the two of you get married?" Yang Huan asked the couple. Did Feng Tianyi marry his younger brother's ex-fiancee to spite him?

That was something Feng Tianyi was capable of doing, considering how bad his relationship was with Feng Tianhua. But what made Yang Huan curious was why Tang Moyu didn't seem to abhor the idea of being with the devil.

Wasn't she informed of the previous misdeeds Feng Tianyi did over the years before his accident? If Tang Moyu knew the old Feng Tianyi, Yang Huan was sure that she would choose not to have anything to do with him.

"We registered our marriage two weeks ago, Mr. Yang. We're sorry we couldn't invite you, but Tianyi and I are planning to hold a ceremony for family and friends to attend. Please don't blame Tianyi for this, Mr. Yang. I was the one who couldn't wait to register our union." Tang Moyu explained on behalf of her husband.

Feng Tianyi inwardly rejoiced for being saved by his wifey. He couldn't believe how lucky he was for having such an understanding wife. He was brimming with pride for Tang Moyu, and couldn't wait to tell the world that she was his wifey.

"Are you sure he didn't force you, Miss Tang? Tianyi can be devious at times. He's good at tricking people." Yang Huan then glanced at the devil, who cowered behind Tang Moyu's shoulder as if he was seeking her protection.

Yang Huan still found it impossible that the devil he'd seen growing up from a young boy to a mischievous man would be able to find his match, and it happened to be the famous empress of Shenzhen. Within the business circle in Shenzhen, it was impossible for people not to know who Tang Moyu was.

"Yes, Mr. Yang. I assure you there is no threat or deal involved in this marriage." Tang Moyu said honestly. She could tell that her husband had high regard for this old man and knew that she needed to leave a good impression on him.

The old man couldn't seem to believe her words, but seeing how the two interact with each other comfortably as if they've been together for years now instead of being newly wedded couples, he was convinced a little.

Yang Huan wasn't sure how to take the news. He couldn't tell if this was another scheme his godson was plotting, or he was truly into this woman. His eyes caught the expensive diamond ring on the empress's ring finger and noticed how Feng Tianyi's eyes looked at her with a glint in his eyes, something the old man hadn't seen in the devil for years.

The first time he met Feng Tianyi, he was just a young boy who was torn between the constant fights between his parents. Feng Tianyi rarely talked to anyone and kept everything to himself.

It wasn't until his parents' divorce reached was settled when Yang Huan managed to meet the young Feng Tianyi then. Song Huifen had allowed the boy to spend his summer with Song Fengyan at Yang Huan's summer house.

Feng Tianyi was around twelve years old at the time and had written his first story that took Yang Huan's attention. If Feng Tianyi's father hadn't forced the boy to undego rigorous trainings as the next successor of the Feng family, Yang Huan thought that Tianyi had a lot of potential to become an author someday.

"I see." Yang Huan conceded. "As long as you didn't force Miss Tang into this marriage and respect each other, then I have no qualms about your relationship."

But his eyes sharpened on Feng Tianyi. It wouldn't be easy for Tang Moyu to deal with this man at all. In the devil's vocabulary, there was no such thing as free lunch in this world. Yang Huan was certain that Feng Tianyi married the empress for a reason.

"Miss Tang, call me anytime if Tianyi gives you trouble. I wouldn't mind teaching him a lesson once in a while." He told Tang Moyu.

"Hey, Uncle! Don't spout nonsense to my Moyu! Don't give her ideas!" The devil complained while Tang Moyu watched with interest as her husband visibly shivered under the old man's gaze. "Let's talk about the book instead. That's why we are here anyway."

Tang Moyu then thought that Feng Tianyi had never been this nervous before, not even when he was talking to his mother. It seemed to her that her husband was trying to seek the old man's approval for their union.
