Chapter 143 Why Are You Not Following The Usual Script?

Two fists landed at the man's stomach at the same time. His eyes bulged out as he felt the force of the two punches on his stomach.

Auurgh!

Bodily fluids escaped his mouth as his knee grew weak from the impact.

Seven and Eight did not waste any more time with him. After punching his soul out of his guts, they immediately dashed and attacked the remaining suspicious men around.

One of the suspicious men reacted in time. Seeing that his companion got punched, he immediately took a knife from his pocket and dashed towards Eight in a fierce manner.

However, Eight was not to be trifled with. He was already a Level One battle guard and his senses and fighting skills were as strong as Roland when he was still at Level One. Now, he even has the Level 1 Unarmed Combat, making him even more formidable than Roland back then.

The man thrust the knife his way, however, Eight merely sidestepped to the side before delivering a powerful kick to the stomach, sending the suspicious man crashing to the ground two meters away.

Another one attacked Seven, but being as strong and as quick as Eight, Seven managed to dodge the incoming punch as he himself rotated midway and delivered a fierce punch to the man's face. Blood oozes out of the man's nose as his figure staggers away from Seven.

The remaining attackers hesitated for a moment, but then rushed at the friends with renewed ferocity. The two fought back with all their might, dodging and weaving as they delivered blow after blow.

Unlike Roland, Seven and Eight did not hold back at all. Each of their punches was equally devastating than the last. One of the suspicious men's faces even became disfigured after receiving Eight's unrestrained attack.

Despite being outnumbered by two versus eight, the two of them remained victorious and with the eight suspicious men unable to retaliate even a little bit. A minute later, only ragged breathing could be heard around the street as eight men laid in the ground in different levels of pain.

Eight and Seven stood like a pillar among them, victorious over the assailants.

The same thing happened with Nine and Ten. With their martial art and strength levels, they easily subdued the enemy in a matter of minutes at the other end of the street. The enemy could do nothing other than to wait for them to get beaten in turn at all. The battle guard's peak level one was not something a mere hooligans could compare to.

Eight and Seven dragged the suspicious men's body away from public view.

Seven grabbed one of them who was still breathing fine compared to others and asked right away, "Speak, who is the mastermind behind all of this?"

After hearing that Seven and the others had already subdued the men who were causing trouble, One immediately ordered them to interrogate them to gather some information.

Stacey spoke earlier about there being a mastermind behind this. She thought that it must be a rival restaurant that wanted the Sparkling Buds to fail. However, she just could not pinpoint who the mastermind was so the best way to learn of the truth was from the assailants themselves.

"W-what matters? I don't know what you're talking about!" the man grabbed by Seven answered with a heavy breathing.

Smack!

A slap landed on the man's cheeks. Bloodily fluid oozes out of his nose as the forceful slap felt as if it struck his brain.

"You'll die if you don't speak!" Seven said with a straight face before delivering another devastating slap.

Straightforward and ruthless. They were the kind of battle guards that were not run by emotions but by logical reasons. There was no pity on Seven's eyes as he slapped the man a few times before stopping.

The man felt as if his head was spinning. He felt as though his head was about to get separated from the slaps that he got.

"I-I'll talk, I'll talk!" the man said weakly. A lot of his teeth's had already fallen to the ground. Seven did not try to hold back from his slaps at all.

Even the other men around felt a sting on their own face seeing their companion getting slapped like a child in front of them. They shivered in fright, and at the same time, thankful that they were not picked by the demon, Seven.

On the other hand, the man picked by Seven had tears rolling at the side of his eyes.

'Why are you so ruthless? Aren't you supposed to threaten me first? Aren't you supposed to go with light punishment first? Why did you slap me to death just after your first question? Why did you not follow the usual script?'

Seven's ruthlessness was beyond him. He dared not waste any more time as he decided to say everything he knew.

"You should have done that sooner," Seven commented as he dropped the man to the cold ground.

The man felt like crying even more.

'How could I talk when you just kept on slapping me?'

Meanwhile, back at the school.

Roland stared at the man who blocked the room's door with a frown.

Roland thought for a moment and recalled this guy named Kyle was one of Bryan's group of friends. He recalled that among them, he was the most hotheaded.

"Where do you think you're going?" Kyle said with a grin on his face.

His arms were hung to the side as he walked to Roland slowly, and haughtily as if he was the strongest guy in the whole world.

"I'm going home," Roland said flatly as he stared at the man straight in the eye.

Fear? Intimidated? Roland felt nothing of that sort. In fact, he even felt like laughing as to how this clown was walking to him with that posture full of openings.

Kyle's lips twitched when he heard Roland's flat answer as he did not expect for Roland to talk back.

He also did the same thing to Roland before. However back then, Roland did not even try to look up and just silently moved back in fear.

"You're talking back now, huh!?"

Thinking that he was getting opposed, Kyle felt anger surging through his veins as he pushed Roland away with his 'muscular' arms.
