Chapter 234 Karlo Vlogs
Chapter 234 Karlo Vlogs
?
At this moment, Karlo was having the time of his life. Chewing the sparkling fried chicken slowly and softly, as if he was admiring the last fried chicken available in the world.
In front of him, his phone camera was set up in a way that his facial expression could be seen while he was eating.
"It's still the same guys. I still felt that I was in heaven as I ate this fried chicken. I already lost count at how many sparkling fried chicken I have eaten, but I still can't have enough of it. It's still as tasty the first time I tasted it," Karlo opened his eyes and talked softly as he faced the camera.
"Hey bro, what are you doing?" At this point, Roland arrived and asked curiously.
Karlo flinched a little, but immediately recovered soon after. When he saw that it was Roland, he even heaved a sigh of relief.,"Oh, it's you. What's your name again? Right, it's Roland."
lights??vel Roland nodded his head, "Can I sit?"
"Of course. Of course, no problem," Karlo replied.
"As for what I am doing… Well, I'm just recording my reaction while eating this tasty fried chicken. I planned to become a food vlogger and I think that this fried chicken restaurant is the perfect candidate for my first content." He continued.
Hearing that, Roland suddenly recalled that man called Daniel. He was kind of a vlogger too. The amount of face-slapping points he earned from that man was astronomical, hence, Roland remembered him easily.
Suddenly, the way Roland looked at Karlo turned different. Unfortunately, he could only wait for an opportunity to face-slap. Sigh, how hard it was to earn face-slapping points these days.
"Vlogging? Is the income that generous?" Roland asked curiously.
Karlo nodded his head. "It depends. If you have a lot of views and you are popular and have a lot of followers, you could actually earn a lot. Earning thousands of Global Dollars per video is not out of reach anymore."
"Oh really? Then how many followers do you have to earn that much? And how many followers do you have now?" Roland asked. He also heard that some vloggers truly earned a lot on their videos, however, he never knew that they could actually earn thousands of dollars from a single video alone.
Karlo smiled wryly hearing Roland's question, "Oh! About that…"
"Well, I just started so I only have four followers for now," Karlo said proudly.
"Then how many followers do you need before you could start earning?" Roland asked.
"Well, at least a thousand. Anyways, I just started so I am expecting that my followers will increase soon after I begin uploading my videos." Karlo stated confidently.
Roland doesn't know anything about these kinds of matters so he could only nod his head after seeing Karlo's confidence.
"Alright, good luck to you. Right, why did you suddenly want to become a vlogger anyways. And why a food blogger at that?"
"It's just a spur of the moment actually," Karlo chuckled as he began to tell what happened yesterday.
Apparently, he saw the viral post of that high school student as he was scrolling through his dissbook feeds yesterday. At first, the intention to start vlogging was not on his mind yet. However, as he scrolled and scrolled, the more food vlogging content he saw on his feeds. And then one particular video, that explained the process of earning in a dissbook advertisement program piqued his interest.
After some more research regarding this area, Karlo finally decided to become a vlogger. Today was his first day. And his first content was reviewing the rising popularity of Sparkling Buds, and it's tasty sparkling fried chicken, or also known as the fried-chicken of heaven.
Roland nodded his head as Karlo talked about his inspiration and goal for his dissbook page.

"Well, good luck on your journey, Right, what's the name of your page? Let me follow you as well," Roland said.
"Well, simply search Karlo Vlogs and you'll see it," Karlo stated. His heart felt warmth knowing that at least one person aside from his direct family remember would now be following his newly created page.
After following his page, Roland stood up and bid farewell to Karlo.
Karlo did not hold him back as well as he was still doing his first ever content.
At this point, none of the two knew what this simple gesture of support would result in the future.
After bidding farewell to the busy Karlo, Roland walked and approached another table situated right beside the stairs leading upstairs.
Earlier, while conversing with Karlo, One had informed him that Carrol had arrived. He saw her enter the shop earlier and it just so happened that he was already done chatting with Karlo so he decided to come towards her directly.
"May I sit?" Roland asked politely.
Carrol nodded in response as she began to look around, observing her surroundings.
"This place is good. It's full of people early in the morning," she commented.
Roland merely smiled at her praise as he sat in front of her. At the same time, he took out his phone and told Stacey that Carrol had arrived. He also requested for them to be delivered a meal. Roland recalled that Carrol might not have tasted the sparkling chicken yet. Then this was the opportunity for her to do so.
"Well, Stacey managed the place very well. It's just been a few days since our opening and we already have a lot of loyal customers," Roland said proudly.
Carrol smiled and then asked directly, "Well, what do you want to know?"
Roland chuckled, "Don't be hasty. Let's eat first, shall we? I already ordered some food. Come and try fried chicken first."
"I'm not in a hurry so I don't mind," Carrol responded with a shrug of her shoulder.
As they waited, Carrol noticed that the customers around their table seemed to have slowly thinned. Upon closer observation, she realized that four men were actually intentionally blocking the way of the customers in the most discreet way possible. Perhaps, even the customers themselves did not realize that they were actually being led away from this particular place.
The four people were of course part of Roland's bodyguard squad that she had seen before. These peculiar people who seemed to not have any Heaven Energy possessed a lot of strange means that she could not explain.
And seeing them 'shoo' the people away, Carrol realized that what they were about to talk about should be some important matters.
The two of them waited patiently. After a few minutes, a waiter finally arrived and served them their food. This waiter was purposely allowed to get in by the guards. Behind the waiter was Stacey, who came to say hi to Carrol.
After the food was served, Roland invited Carrol to eat.
Carrol nodded her head and started to eat the sparkling fried chicken. Roland also decided to eat just for the sake of it. The energy he consumes everyday was not a laughing matter so he must eat a lot of food everyday to balance it.
While eating, Roland could not help but observe Carrol's reaction.
As the one who provided the recipe, he was quite proud of the taste of this fried chicken.
Normally, a person would take a bite and then close their eyes to savor the moment when eating the fried chicken of heaven for the first time. However, Roland soon realized that Carrol did not have such a reaction at all.
The only thing that allowed him to determine that she was enjoying the food was the infrequent nods in between of her every bite.
"Does it taste bad?" Roland could not finally take any longer and decided to ask.
After gulping a mouthful, Carrol took a sip out of the soda and replied, "Hmm? This chicken? Of course it tastes good."
"Are you sure? Why does it seem that you don't like it that much?"
Carrol tilted her head in confusion. "Hmm?"
"Ohh. I see. I think you misunderstood something."
"What I meant is. The taste of this fried chicken is very good compared to other mortal foods that I have tried before. However, it tasting good doesn't mean that it's already the best fried chicken that I have eaten."
This time, it was Roland who tilted his head in confusion upon hearing her words.
"Mortal foods?"
"Yes, mortal foods. Foods consumed daily by mortals. People who don't cultivate. Foods that only have nutrients and don't have any ounce of Heaven Energy in them." Carrol replied, chewing another piece of fried chicken as she did so.
Roland thought for a moment and recalled the various levels of plants that he had seen in the 'memory' of the knowledge that he got so far.
"So, do you mean there are foods for cultivators, and you are saying that they taste exemplary good compared to mortal foods, like this fried chicken?"
