Chapter 40 Enthusiastic Janine
Chapter 40 Enthusiastic Janine
Butler Frank and his family of three were previously based on a high-grade city.
When they received the employment notice, Butler Frank and Housekeeper Stella immediately made the decision to move over to Fore City to become the personal Butler of Roland.
Butler Frank and Housekeeper Stella were trained in the way of serving their master from a young age.
It could be said that this has become their main line of work, and not being able to serve someone would make them uncomfortable.
This time, the two of them were enthusiastic to meet their new master.
However, the same could not be said towards their daughter.
Janine was an outgoing person with a lot of friends.
She especially loved going out with friends at night to partake in car shows and race all over the city and the neighboring cities that they were in.
Although she did not have her own car, her skills were recognized in the circle and many car owners would request for her to drive their customized car to race.
When Butler Frank and Housekeeper Stella made the decision to move to a desolate city, Janine was obviously against it.
After all, as a person who loved cars and knew every nook and cranny about them, she immediately assumed that there would be no good cars in such a desolate city.
However, as it was the decision of her parents, Janine did not dare to go against it and could only follow behind them after settling some matters in the previous city.
Arriving at the Fore City airport made Janine even more positive that there will be no good car shows, much less good cars for her to play with in this city.
Hence, she decided to live a lowkey life until she saved enough to live separately from her parents and buy her own car to play with.
However, right when she arrived at the Pure Dew Villa with the assistance of a security guard, the Ramborghini Sian at the entrance of the villa immediately caught her attention.
Before coming here, her father had already warned her in advance that their master was an eccentric person. He liked to live a lowkey life but was not afraid to show his knowledge and skills to others either.
When she heard that, she imagined Roland to be an oldman with white long beard. However, when her father secretly sent Roland's picture over so that she could familiarize herself, she was surprised to know that he was actually a young man and a handsome one at that.
However, in Janine's mind at this stage of her life, cars were more important than anything else.
And hence, when she saw the Ramborghini Sian in the entrance, she immediately fell in love with it.
As a car enthusiast, she recognized the Ramborghini Sian at glance. What surprised her even more was that upon a closer inspection, this was actually the unmodified version, which means that it was a virgin to and fro.
Nowadays, sports cars like these are extremely rare, especially when it comes to the limited edition ones that were first released years ago.
The Ramborghini Sian in front of her was the Uranus Blue Variant, a variant that only sold a total of 16 units around the world.
Seeing this car in such a remote place made her speechless. For a moment, she even thought that she was actually in a city that was of a higher grade than the previous city they were based at.
However, the Pure Dew Villa was the evidence that confirmed that this was the end of the low-grade city, Fore City.
This time, she became curious about the owner of this villa, and for this car to be here only meant that he was the owner of the car too.
What made her even more speechless was that the car was actually left behind right outside the villa's gate.
Was the new master that rich?
As she admired the Ramaborghini Sian, Roland came to see her.
A while later, her mind that was already in turmoil could not process Roland's question clearly.
"So, what can I do for you?"
Hearing that made Janine's enthusiastic expression turn stiff. She had no answer for such a question, and in fact, it was supposed to be her asking that kind of question to her new master.
Indeed, what was she doing here instead of reporting directly to her father?
This was not an attitude a mere maid should possess.
Her smile dropped down as Roland's words were like cold waters falling above her head.
Even though there was a Rambroghini Sian in front of her, it was not hers, and the real owner was here to demand an explanation on why she was circling around the car.
For a moment, Janine was stumped as to what to reply as she began to overthink.
In the end, she just sighed and bowed respectfully to Roland, "I apologize for my rudeness, Master."
Although she liked to run around racing with friends, like her parents, Janine was also trained to serve.
Tears welled up at the corner of her eyes as she suppressed her emotions.
On the other hand, Roland immediately felt the change in the atmosphere. The enthusiastic vibes that he was getting from her disappeared as it was replaced by a restrained one, as if the previou enthusiasm was just a mere facade.
Roland tilted his head to the side, not knowing what caused such a change. Recalling back, he did not say something strange, did he?
Roland could only shake his head a while later as he ignored the change of her attitude. He preferred her enthusiasm but if she does not want to act that way anymore, Roland has nothing to say about it.
"What are you apologizing for? Right, you were about to enter the villa, right?" Roland asked.
"Yes, Master," Janine replied simply, the enthusiasm gone.
Roland did not mind it and just laughed, "Good timing! I was about to drive this baby around, but since you're here, come, I'll drive you to the villa and be the first passenger of this brand new baby!"
Hearing that, Janine had her eyes wide like saucers.
The gloomy expression earlier instantly disappeared, as the enthusiastic Janine resurfaced once more, "R-Really!?"
