Chapter 94 First Again
Chapter 94 First Again
?The soft light from the blue moon fell on the one man who seemed to be its chosen one. Blood dripped from Zayne's body as his azure eyes filled with flame, and gazed at the wide moon as his symbol.
Zayne slowly reached out his hand as if trying to touch the moon and whispered with a slight smile, "I have won... but... Who? Enar... or myself?"
Rea and Elin stared at Zayne as though mesmerized, unable to look away. Never before in their lives, they had seen anything so beautiful and frightening at the same time. All they could do was hold their breath and wait for their turn to get a piece of the light.
...
Normally, the night is a time to sleep, a time to rest and recover, but that didn't stop millions of people from spending their hours in Fallen Fate Online or exploring news sites.
Everyone was doing their own thing, some trading, some fighting monsters, and some just lying on the bed and looking at their phones.
However, they all froze in an instant when they heard the words already familiar to them to some degree.
[Massive Announcement!]
[In the Lax River Region, near Red Feather City, an event of historic magnitude has occurred!]
"Agh... What's going on?" One of the players muttered, looking up at the sky, which had turned completely blue even though it was now deep night.
[One of the Apostles, was defeated!]
[The plans of the Chaos have been disrupted! The appearance of Tier Three Chaos Hearth has been prevented!]
Messages continued to come in, forcing all players to focus only on this, and no sooner had the last message appeared than the news sites were already reporting about this incredible event.
[Zayne Fellen became the hero who saved Red Feather City from a disaster Red Feather City would never survive! Zayne Fellen, defeated Enar, Flame of Sorrow, one of the Apostles!]
"Hah, him again... and again he is first..." Someone muttered with a bitter smile on his face while shaking his head.
Players were still just exploring the world of the Fallen Fate Online, so they only understood that something important happened. However, those who were more clever and knew exactly how unique this event was, began to act immediately.
In the high offices, phone calls rang out, which were hastily answered.
"Agh... Is it him again? Damn... Looks like he turned down our offer, and we don't even know how to contact him..." The man with the bushy black mustache muttered, staring out the window that overlooked a city full of skyscrapers.
The man listened to his partner for a while and occasionally nodded with a deep look.
"Yeah... I know what you mean. Thanks to that nurse, we actually have an opportunity to meet him. I didn't want to come to such methods, but now it seems we have no other choice." The man said quietly as he stared at the night sky with the moon at its center.
"Maybe there will be brighter stars than him in the future, but Zayne Fellen is definitely already the first of them... We must do everything we can to get an interview with him first!" The man exclaimed confidently, punching his fist.
...
Many people woke up to alerts or messages from their friends. They all either logged into Fallen Fate to see the notifications in person or started browsing news sites one by one.
Without exception, everyone was curious to know more about what had happened and especially about Zayne Fellen himself. However, there was someone who knew some of the answers to these questions.
"Zayne... It looks like now you actually have a chance to save Mia... I hope when you get all this sorted out, you have room for me, too." Rubia muttered, reading the headlines.
p?nd?`no??1--?o? ...
While the whole world watched in awe at the events taking place, Zayne gradually came to his senses. He was just breathing deeply, calming his mind and his heart, which was beating at a tremendous rate.
During this fight, he had experienced all sorts of emotions, from joy to grief, from a panic attack to cold reason, and from lostness to pure insanity. Nothing in the world could describe how he felt then.
[You defeated Enar, Flame of Sorrow!]
[You defeated an opponent whose position in the world was immeasurably higher than your own!]
[You gained 1000 EXP!]
[You have reached the limit of the level you can get without a Class!]
[You gained the Title - "Wild Metamorphosis".]
[You gained the Title - "The One Who Surpassed Himself."]
[You received a Special Title - "The First Who Defeated the Apostle."]
Zayne took a deep breath, giving himself a little pause from the practically endless messages that appeared before him.
At that moment, he felt no joy in receiving all these rewards, for all he wanted then was the rest he definitely deserved.
"Well, it's a good thing these messages aren't hiding you..." Zayne looked up at the blue moon, whose light suddenly became much brighter, and flames blazed in his eyes.
[Defeating the Apostle drew the attention of the Fate! You defeated one of the Chaos warriors and receive a special reward from Fate!]
[You permanently retain some of the power you had during the battle against Enar!]
[All of your stats have been doubled in some unknown way!]
[Passive Skill gained - "Echo of the Beast".]
Zayne's vision became many times clearer, and he saw a white coin coming down to him.
[You received the Fate Coin!]
[Your Fate Force has been increased by 1 point!]
Only then did the messages finally stop, and Zayne could breathe a sigh of relief. He looked around the battlefield with his tired gaze and was about to leave the game, but suddenly a blue flame lit up in front of him.
Zayne immediately flinched as he sensed Enar's energy from that fire, but quickly calmed down when a blue book emerged from it, covered by streams of azure flame.
[You received a Special Skill Book containing the ability of the Apostle you defeated!]
Zayne gulped, nodded slightly, and turned to Rea and Elin, who was looking at him with wide eyes.
"Elin... Rea... Don't go anywhere, wait for me for a while, I need time..." Zayne muttered as his body flashed brightly, disappearing.
