With that, Jalen was about to pick Elalna up, but Elaina refused, “I’m fine. It’s just a small cut.”
The woman didn’t use much strength at all. Other than leaving two drops of blood, Elaina had no injuries.

Elaina felt helpless that she could figure nothing out. Jalen held her in his arms. “I’m glad you are fine.”
This sudden hug put Elaina in a daze. She indulged in the familiar fragrance coming from Jalen’s body.
Elaina quickly came back to her senses and pushed Jalen away. “What are you doing here?”
Jalen coughed slightly and said in a serious tone, “I came here for a business trip and also stayed in this hotel. I just happened to see the scene.”
Elaina rolled her eyes at Jalen, which seemed to say, “Do you think I will believe that?”
Jalen took out the room card from his bag and handed it to Elaina, “I live next door.”
Elaina was surprised. Elaina thought, it really is the room next to mine. So Jalen just passed by here and then found that something was wrong?
