On the private flight back to New York, Elaina looked at Corey and Lilly who were sitting at the side.

Elaina smiled with relief.

Elaina knew that Corey and Lilly trusted her, so they chose to leave Greene Village and go with her.

Jalen seemed to be busy working. There should be a lot of business affairs piled up in the past few

days.

Elaina leaned on the chair. She thought for a moment, Jalen came to me regardless of everything

this time. And he nearly got in trouble because of me. I don’t know how to get along with him after

we get back to New York.

Elaina didn’t dare to breathe so heavily. She was afraid Jalen would be awakened.

In an instant, Elaina felt ashamed of being caught. Her face turned red and she turned her head

away quickly. Elaina asked, “Are you awake?”

“Yes.” Jalen nodded. A smile showed up on Jalen’s face. Jalen saw through all of Elaina’s

reactions.

“How long will we be there?” Elaina tried to change the topic. Her red cheeks gradually returned to

normal.

Jalen turned to look at Graham. Graham responded quickly, “We will be there soon.

“Thank you.” Elaina nodded and thanked Graham. Elaina continued to look ahead. Although Elaina

knew that Jalen was looking at her, she didn’t dare to turn around and look back at him.

After a moment, Jalen chuckled, “Are you shy?”

“Who is being shy? I am not,” Elaina denied quickly. Elaina thought, how can I possibly be shy?

Jalen didn’t argue with Elaina. Instead, Jalen said, “Can you tell me how to pursue you so that you

can agree to be my girlfriend?”

Jalen had never pursued a girl before. Although Elaina gave Jalen a chance, Jalen was still

confused and didn’t know what to do at that moment.

Elaina didn’t expect Jalen to ask so directly. Elaina felt embarrassed, then she shook her head.

Elaina said, “I will follow my heart and trust my feelings. I suggest Mr. Halton give up pursuing me.”

“Let me give up?” Jalen chuckled. “I will never give up anything in my life.”

“Well.” Elaina rolled her eyes and ignored Jalen.

The plane landed and a group of people came down. Corey and Lilly followed Elaina timidly and looked around at everything unfamiliar.

Corey and Lilly had never seen such a prosperous big city since they grew up in Greene Village. Everything in New York was new but strange for Corey and Lilly.

Elaina held Corey and Lilly in her hands and comforted them, “Don’t be scared.”

Corey and Lilly felt relieved when they were holding Elaina’s hands. They followed Elaina and went out of the airport. Then they got in the car that Jalen had already prepared.

Jalen asked, “Where are you going?”

“Send me back to Kemp Apartment,” Elaina replied. “Corey and Lilly will stay with me first. After settling down, I will find an adoptive family for them.”

“I will look for an adoptive family for them. It’s my suggestion and I will take care of it,” Jalen said to Elaina. Jalen didn’t want Elaina to be too tired.

Hearing this, Elaina didn’t insist. Elaina knew Jalen had more resources than her. Elaina said, “Okay, thank you.”

“You don’t need to thank me.” Jalen looked at Elaina affectionately.
