At the door of the Halton’s residence, Jalen lit a cigarette unusually. He leaned against the car and looked up at the night sky, thinking of something.

There were footsteps from behind.

Steven was surprised to see Jalen standing at the door, but he quickly walked over, “It’s good that you haven’t left. Let’s talk about Elaina.”

Hearing that, Jalen threw the cigarette in his hand on the ground and stepped on it, “Oh? What do you want to talk about?”

“What I mean is very simple. Leave her immediately and make a clean break.” Steven seemed to be unaware of the coldness of Jalen, or perhaps he felt it, but he did not care.

Jalen did not speak but just laughed grimly.

“How can that kind of woman be worthy of your identity? She just wants your money. You can play with her, but you can’t marry her!” Steven continued.

broken a family?”

“You’re not allowed to talk about her like that!” Steven’s expression turned angry.

“What? She’s already dead, and you’re still protecting her?” Jalen sneered, “Did I say anything wrong? You’re not a good person, and neither is she.”

Because of these two people, Jalen’s mother committed suicide. A good family was ruined, and Saul had been tortured by his father since he was young. It was the misery of two families.

All of those were caused by Steven and that dead woman. Sure enough, Jalen could not think of any nice

words when facing Steven.

“Little bastard, how dare you?” With that, Steven rushed towards Jalen and raised his hand.

However, Jalen was no longer a child who could only stand still and suffer beating.

He grabbed Steven’s wrist and shook it off, “You are already old. If you want to live for a few more years, find a place to take a rest and never appear in front of me again.”

“As for Ella, if you dare to trouble her, I promise you will suffer a fate worse than death!”

Although Steven was Jalen’s biological father, Jalen had already no longer regarded him as his father.

However, Jalen’s threat meant nothing to Steven. He sneered, “Don’t forget, I am now the chairman of the

Halton Group. What can you do to me?”

“As for you, if I want to, I can join hands with the board of directors and dismiss your position as president at

any time,” Steven said.

Jalen’s face was dark, yet there was no fear, “Is that so? Then you can dismiss my position and see if it is me who’s relying on the Halton Group or vice versa.”

“You!” Steven was very angry.

He took a deep breath and tried to keep calm. He couldn’t let Jalen win over him, “If you want Elaina to be safe, you should stay away from her. Otherwise, I won’t be merciful to her.”

“I dare you!” Jalen glared at him angrily.

“See if I dare or not.” Steven was not afraid. He was still the chairman of the Halton Group and had a lot of power. What Jalen had, he had them too.

The two were in a deadlock. Jalen looked at Steven even with killing intent. He wished to kill this person so

much.

After an unknown period, Jalen seemed to have compromised and said, “Don’t trouble her. I will stay away

from her.”
