Chapter 395

In the hospital, Elaina came out of the operating room after two operations. She was a little tired.

“You must be exhausted. Drink some water.”

Jaydon handed over the water. Elaina didn’t take it. Instead, she asked him, “What are you doing here again?”

She was really annoyed. She just wished Jaydon could leave her alone.

“I was just worried about you,” Jaydon said with a smile and followed Elaina to her office.

Leaning against the chair, Elaina felt much more comfortable. “I’m fine. You don’t have to worry,”

she said.

“You call this ‘fine’?” Jaydon helplessly sat down opposite her. “Don’t play tough. I know you feel

bad.”

Elaina glanced at him and didn’t bother to reply.

‘Breakup always makes people feel sad. But it doesn’t matter. Everyone says that time and a new lover are the best ways to get out of a breakup,” Jaydon said, looking at Elaina expectantly.

Elaina was confused.

“So, how about you and I? We can have a try. I’m definitely better than Jalen,” Jaydon said.

Elaina was speechless. She really wanted to beat Jaydon up.

She forced herself to press down her impulse and didn’t beat Jaydon. “I have said it many times. I am not interested in you. Do you think I am joking with you?”

Not to mention that she had just broken up with Jalen, and even without Jalen, she was not interested in Jaydon. But Jaydon just wouldn’t listen to her.

“Just because you were not interested before doesn’t mean that you are not interested now, right?” Jaydon did not intend to give up. When Elaina had a boyfriend, he did not give up. Now that she was single, he had no reason to give up.

Elaina held her forehead and felt a headache.

“Are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?” Jaydon asked, “Let me send you home to have some

rest.”

Elaina nodded. She really needed a rest, so it didn’t matter who sent her home.

Sitting in Jaydon’s car, Elaina closed her eyes to rest. Jaydon didn’t disturb her.

He had to take it slow. The more anxious he was, the more he would push Elaina away.

They quickly drove away from the hospital, and neither of them noticed the car parked across the

road.

Through the window, Jalen watched Elaina get into Jaydon’s car and watched them drive away. He felt a sharp pain in his heart, so sharp that it bent him over.

Graham in the driver’s seat panicked and asked, “Mr. Halton, are you OK?”

“I’m fine. Let’s go.” Jalen forced himself to sit up straight and comforted himself that he would explain it to Elaina after he dealt with Steven.

However, Graham was still worried. He could not help but say, “Why don’t we go to the hospital for a checkup?”

The hospital was right across them. Graham wanted Jalen to go for a checkup.

Jalen glanced at him coldly. Graham quickly started the car. “Sorry, I shouldn’t say anything. We’ll

leave now.”

The car started and left.

Under the apartment building, Elaina got out of Jaydon’s car. Seeing that Jaydon planned to follow, she couldn’t help but be a little angry. “You can go now. I don’t have time for a guest today.”

“Fine.” Jaydon nodded helplessly. He said as Elaina was leaving, “I’ve ordered takeout for

Don’t eat pasta. It’s not good for your health.”

Elaina did not look back, but she still waved at him as thanks.

you.

Jaydon smiled as he watched her walk away. He was in a good mood and felt that he had made

progress.

Elaina walked to her door and looked up. She saw Alisha standing there for who knew how long. Her already agitated mood became even worse.

“Hey, how does it feel to be dumped by Jalen again? I bet you are too ashamed to stay in New York anymore, right?” Alisha walked towards Elaina in high spirits.
