The scrunched forehead on Mu Zhi’s face gradually started to even out, and she became much more relaxed.

Lu Jinye waited by her side until she regained consciousness.

When Mu Zhi finally woke up, she remained frail and lifeless. But the moment she realized Lu Jinye was before her eyes, she let out a beaming smile.

In a contented tone, she said, “This is so good. I thought I was dreaming. I didn’t expect my honey to be home so soon.”

Lu Jinye put on a smile in response. Locking eyes with Mu Zhi, he asked, “What did you dream of?”

Mu Zhi sat up, gulped a mouthful of water, then said placidly, “I dreamed that I was trapped in a forest and my honey was fighting monsters for me!”

“Is that so? What did the monster look like?”

Lu Jinye fixed his gaze on Mu Zhi’s face. It was evident to him that Mu Zhi was lying.

If it were such a beautiful dream, Mu Zhi would not be struggling dreadfully earlier.

At that thought, Lu Jinye gathered Mu Zhi into his embrace.

“Honey, why did you suddenly come home?”

Allowing Lu Jinye to do as he will, Mu Zhi raised her head to look at Lu Jinye.

Lu Jinye answered with a calm and inviting expression, “Because I know that you miss me, I must return.”

Then, he placed a kiss on Mu Zhi’s forehead.

But all of a sudden, his insatiable desires and bodily reaction urged him to pursue further, more than a kiss.

He gently bowed his head to extend his kiss to her lips.

Mu Zhi’s lips were smooth and silky. They carried a lingering warmth from her fever.

It had been a few days since Lu Jinye was away, and it was too long for him. The moment their bodies touched, he could not resist pursuing further.

He ran his fingertips down her figure and unbuttoned her shirt.

Following that, he progressed downwards with his lips.

Mu Zhi was soft and meek. She shut her eyes, feeling the love Lu Jinye was eager to give her as well as the friction of their rubbing skin.

She was indulged in the goodness.

Suddenly, Lu Jinye let go of Mu Zhi, then said to her solemnly, “I’ll order the maids to prepare a meal for you. You can’t handle the aggression with your current state!”

Mu Zhi did not turn around. She said, “I don’t feel like resting anymore. I want to get some fresh air after the meal, then go to work.”

The rumors on the internet did not seem to bother her.

“That’s a lot of dedication!” Lu Jinye remarked playfully.

“Of course!”

Mu Zhi looked at Lu Jinye with a stern face, then added, “Wasn’t I dedicated enough when I was your secretary? Why is it surprising to you?”

Mu Zhi pretended as nothing had happened.

Seeing that Mu Zhi was not bothered, Lu Jinye did not take the flurry comments on the internet to heart too.

He gazed at her from behind and let out an affectionate smile.

“What’s the matter?”

She asked with a frown.
