Falling In Love With Him – Her First Love

Chapter 168 - She's Ready

Chapter 168 - She's Ready

When she looked at him, all the pretence of bravery went out of the window. Hera gulped and looked away. Hunter snapped his fingers, demanding her attention. Hera glanced up and found him a few feet away from the bed where he was rooted to the spot.

"Strip."

Only one word slipped out of his pretty mouth, and Hera's jaw fell open while her eyes rounded in surprise.

'Did he say strip? Did I hear him correctly, or am I dreaming or something?'

Hera thought she imagined it, but Hunter proved her wrong when he opened his mouth.

"You heard me right, Goddess. Strip," he said, tone demanding her to obey. Shocked, Hera rapidly blinked as if trying to wake up from the dream..

His left hand slid inside the pocket of his black shorts, and Hera's eyes dropped to his mouth as his tongue darted out, wetting his lips. Subconsciously Hera licked her lips too. She watched with her wide eyes when Hunter pointed his thumb at himself, wagged it back and forth and made an elaborated show of displaying his torso.

"Aren't you drooling over this?" He asked, sounding too arrogant. But Hera noticed how he still maintained that poker face. "It's only fair if you returned the favour," he insinuated. Hera gaped at him in stunned silence.

"Now strip," he commanded.

"Oh, my God!" She whispered and covered her mouth while Hunter's fingers loomed over the clasp of his shorts. He unbuttoned it before gripping the zipper with his fingers, ready to slide it down. Hera tore her gaze off his fingers and lifted her lashes to meet his. He had his eyes already set on her.

"Hunter, I," Hera started, but her words melted in her mouth and ran down her throat as she swallowed. She forgot how to use her tongue when he moved his feet and made it to the bed. Hera instinctively covered her face, hiding behind her palms. She pulled her knees to her chest, her toes curling around the bedspread.

"Why aren't you taking your clothes off? I'm waiting," he said. He seemed annoyed, but Hera couldn't look at him. She kept her face hidden from his view. Her heartbeats skyrocketed when she felt the bed dip under his weight. It promptly skipped a beat after beat when she felt his finger grazing over her toes. It was a soft, slow, delicate touch, and Hera trembled under it.

She sensed his fingers moving up, and he played with her anklet for a second or two. His free hand gripped her wrist and pulled it away, revealing her flushed face. Hera avoided meeting his eyes, but her gaze automatically shot up to meet his when he yanked her ankles, forcing her to stretch her legs straight and lay on her back.

The moment he hovered over her form, Hera knew she wasn't ready yet. It was stupid of her to think she could do it, but how to rectify her mistake now? It was too late to back off, and besides, she didn't want to disappoint her Hunter.

Squeezing her eyelids shut, Hera closed her eyes when Hunter pushed her thighs apart with his knees. Her lips parted, and her breath hitched as he settled himself between her legs. Supporting his body weight on his elbows, he leaned down. Hera shivered as his hot breath tickled the shell of her ear.

"Are you sure you're ready?" He whispered in her ear. Hera nodded her silent approval without opening her eyes. The back of Hunter's fingers brushed over the smooth skin of her neck. She felt her dress sliding down her arm as his fingers pushed down the fabric.

What Hera didn't know was that Hunter wasn't looking at her exposed skin. He was busy analysing every emotion playing on her face.

'God, why can't he move his hands faster?'

Cursing inwardly, Hera took a deep breath while Hunter moved his fingers in slow motion as if he had all the time in the world. But Hera couldn't take it anymore. She was so nervous she wished for it to be over sooner.

"Dear Lord," she whispered when she sensed his hand moving down towards the hem of her dress. His palm pressed flat against her thigh, burned her bare skin as he pushed the dress up, revealing the smooth, plump meat on her thigh inch by inch.

Hera's hand moved subconsciously and grabbed his wrist, stopping him from going further up. It was more of a reflex action. She panicked and couldn't think before acting. However, she quickly realised it gave up her pretence, and to cover up her mistake, she brought his hand to her chest, allowing it to rest against her cleavage.

'Fuck, why am I panicking? It's okay, Hera, relax. It's only your Hunter.'

She tried her best not to be so obvious. She wouldn't want her Hunter to be dissatisfied with her.

"Can you kiss me, Hunter?" Hera asked in a breathless whisper. She needed a distraction, alright.

She heard him scoff, and she no longer felt the warmth of his body against hers.

Hera opened her eyes, and the intensity of her nervousness doubled when she saw him leaving the bed.

"What's wrong, Hunter? Did I do something wrong?" Hera asked, stuttering in panic. She swallowed to ease the dryness in her throat. Hunter grabbed his T-shirt from the floor, and Hera watched with her widened eyes as he did the buttons of his shorts before pulling the T-shirt down his head.

"Hunter, what happened? Why did you stop?" Hera asked. But she already knew she messed up. The anger burning in his eyes proved it. She waited for him to speak while her heart rushed against her chest.

Hunter turned his back to her and was about to march out of the room. His long strides ate up the distance between the door and him. Hera came out of her daze as soon as she heard the door lock clicking open. She saw him pulling the door handle, and in the next moment, the door was wide open.

Hera didn't waste another second and ran after him. Before Hunter could step out of the room, she grabbed his wrist with both her hands.

One hand still clutching the door handle, Hunter turned to his side and scowled at the two little hands arresting his wrist in a tight grip. He lifted his gaze to meet hers, and his sight lingered at her collarbone. Her dress was still hanging loosely at her arms, showcasing the upper swell of her breasts.

Clenching his jaw tight, Hunter looked away and exhaled through his nose. Hera looked perplexed by his temper and scowled in frustration.

"Why are you pissed at me, Hunter? I didn't even do anything," Hera spoke indignantly. The resentment in her tone only provoked his anger more. He jerked his hand away from her grasp.

"Huh, so much for offering myself to you on a silver platter," Hera muttered under her breath. Hunter slammed the door shut, and Hera flinched at the harsh sound. She took a step back when he whirled around abruptly. The cold fury raging in his eyes startled her.

He grabbed her hand, drawing her closer to him. Hera obliged without any resistance, but she couldn't stop the involuntary gasp when he lifted his hand and moved it towards her chest. Holding her breath, she watched him with her large eyes while his fingers grasped the top edge of her dress. The back of his hand went inside her dress as he gripped it tightly and pulled it up, covering her exposed skin.

Hera blushed in embarrassment. She felt guilty for assuming wrong.

"Tell me, Hunter, what's bothering you?" Hera asked, staring at his angelic face while Hunter was busy making her dress presentable.

He took a step back, keeping an arms-length distance between them.

"No, Hera, you tell me what's bothering you?" He asked, his no-nonsense tone annoyed her. But the way he drawled her name annoyed her even more. He said it as if it left a bitter taste on his tongue.

'So, no Goddess for now. Okay then, Hera it is.'

The moment he uttered her name, she knew something she did unintentionally had made him upset.

'But it isn't fair. You shouldn't be angry when all I wanted was to make you happy.'

Hera sighed and tried not to lash out. She was ready to take that plunge in their relationship even though it wasn't easy for her to make that decision.

"What would bother me, Hunter? Wasn't I ready to please you however you wanted? I was willing to let you do anything," she stated.

"Exactly my point, Hera. Why?" He asked. His voice rose with every word he uttered as his anger intensified. "Why, all of a sudden, you decided to sleep with me when you're not even ready to take that step?" He questioned. Hera frowned in confusion. "What makes you think I'm not ready? Of course, I'm ready. I want this, Hunter," Hera admitted.
