Chapter 1024

“But something’s fishy this time!” Henson shook his head, saying seriously to Estelle, “I’m dead sure, my sister must be having a secret crush on someone!”

Estelle looked shocked, “Who wouldn’t appreciate your sister and let her have a secret crush!”

Henson sounded worried, “She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, I hope she doesn’t get tricked this time!”

Estelle couldn’t help but want to laugh seeing his mature-like expression, “Your sister got into college with excellent grades and has always been top of her class, and you’re saying she’s not smart?”

Henson replied, “Being good at studies doesn’t mean she’s good at reading people. She’s been pampered since she was little, she can’t see through people’s complex minds!”

Estelle laughed, “When she was little? Were you there?”

Henson glared at her, quickly changing the subject, “My parents are not home, and my uncle is too busy. Can you help me keep an eye on my sister, so she doesn’t do something stupid?”

Estelle thought for a moment, “It’s best not to have outsiders interfere in such matters.”

“You’re not an outsider, you’re my aunt!” Henson said righteously.

Estelle almost choked on her own spit, immediately responding seriously, “Your uncle and I have broken up, stop calling me that!”

Henson didn’t care, “He didn’t mention anything about breaking up!”

“Well, I’m officially telling you now, we’ve broken up!”

Henson snorted, “Then you’re not good at reading people either!”

Estelle wanted to say it was Jonathan who initiated the breakup, not her fault at all, but thought better of arguing with a kid, so she kept silent.

Henson, afraid of upsetting Estelle, stopped joking around, and simply said, “You must help me with my sister’s matter!”

Estelle was flipping through her textbook, and casually nodded, “Hmm, if I see anything, I’ll keep an eye out.”

“Thanks, aunt!”

After Henson finished speaking, seeing Estelle frown, he quickly added, “It’s okay to joke around after class, you said so yourself!”

Estelle glared at him, “Stop making jokes about me and your uncle, or else,”

She gritted her teeth, “Don’t expect me to teach you archery!”

Henson quickly replied, “I promise I won’t anymore!”

Estelle hummed, “Take out your textbook, let’s prepare for the next class.”

After the class was over, the car was already waiting outside the villa. When Estelle got in, she noticed that the driver was not Jonathan, but the Lamont family’s, chauffeur.

She instinctively frowned, wanting to sit in the back, but thought it might seem too deliberate, so she stayed put.

The driver, who was driving her for the first time, politely asked her address. Estelle told him, then silently looked out the car window.

On the way, Magdalen suddenly called her, asking her to have lunch together.

Estelle had just arrived in the city, so she had the driver drop her off at the restaurant on the way.

When she arrived, Magdalen was still stuck in traffic, so she found a spot by the window in the lobby to wait.

The waiter brought her a glass of lemon water. She finished the whole glass and Magdalen still hadn’t arrived, so she took out her sketchbook to work on her designs.

She had just started sketching when she looked up casually and was taken aback.

Two people were walking down the stairs. The girl was wearing a high-end suit, her clothes and makeup very delicate. She had a timid and somewhat disappointed- smile, and her eyes were shyly fixed on the man beside her.

The man was wearing the same suit he had on when he picked up Estelle in the morning, looking handsome and elegant. His eyes were full of coldness and aloofness, only softening slightly when he saw Estelle, showing a hint of surprise.

When their gazes met, Estelle immediately lowered her head, took a sip of her lemon water, and calmly continued with her sketch.

So he had a date, no wonder he didn’t pick her up.
