Chapter 103

Old Mr. Jarvis didn’t have much interest at first, but after taking a glance, his eyes slowly widened, staring at the screen, “My Ella?” Old Mr. Quintin teased, “You’re supposed to look at the flower, not the person!”

Old Mr. Jarvis sat up straight, “Is that really my Ella?”

Old Mr. Quintin nodded, “Yeah, she came to see me today and bought a bunch of my favorite sweets. I mean, I’m not a kid, why would she buy so many pastries?”

Old Mr. Jarvis, annoyed, his beard twitched, “You old geezer, are you doing this on purpose? Call her over, I want to ask her, who does she love more, her grandpa or her teacher?”

She hadn’t been home for so long, but she went to show respect to that old coot!

Old Mr. Quintin’s face suddenly became serious, “Don’t say such things. With our friendship, could I really compete with you for your granddaughter’s affection? Of course, Estelle is closer to me!”

After that, Old Mr. Quintin turned the camera to himself, chuckled, and turned off the video.

He put down the phone in a great mood, and shouted, “Ella, it’s too hot outside, let’s go back in. I asked someone to make you some ice

cream.”

Estelle, standing amongst the flowers, looked back and said, “I’ll be right there!”

Back in the house, Estelle received a call from her grandfather.

Old Mr. Jarvis’s face didn’t look so good. Just as Estelle wanted to talk, her phone was snatched away by Old Mr. Quintin.

“You’ve always been petty since you were young. Ella just came to see me, and you have the nerve to call and scold her? If you have the guts, move to J City, and I will let Ella visit you every day.”

Estelle was clueless, not knowing what had happened.

“You old doof, you’re so mean!” Old Mr. Jarvis retorted angrily, “Why should Ella have to ask for your permission to come…”

Old Mr. Quintin hung up the video, and said to Estelle with a big smile, “Let’s not bother with him, let’s go eat ice cream.”

Estelle and Jason exchanged glances, both with a funny expression.

At three o’clock, the people from the exhibition came to pick up Old Mr. Quintin. When the car stopped, Albert got out, greeted Old Mr. Quintin respectfully and was surprised to see Estelle, “Sister!”

Albert was 42 years old, but he became a student after Estelle, so even though there was an age gap, he still respectfully called her “sister.”

Estelle smiled faintly, “Mr. Mullins.”

“Please, please, Albert replied politely, “I often visit our teacher’s place, and sometimes I can see Jason but I haven’t seen you for a long

time.”

After some small talk outside, they all got into the car and set off for the art exhibition.

The person in charge of the exhibition, as well as some famous artists from the art circle, were already waiting outside the gallery. When the car arrived, they immediately welcomed and escorted Old Mr. Quintin out of the car.

Everyone showed deep respect and flattery.

The organizer heared that Old Mr. Quintin’s two most beloved students were also present. He was surprised to see Jason and Estelle, not expecting Estelle, Albert’s apprentice sister would be a young girl who still looks like a student.

After introductions and greetings, the person in charge took Old Mr. Quintin and his group to the exhibition hall.

The exhibition had taken two years to prepare and was a big event, with professionals from all countries coming to participate. Every piece in the exhibition had been carefully selected and was a masterpiece of great artistic value.

As they entered the exhibition, everyone followed Old Mr. Quintin and Estelle, introducing them to every painting and its author

Oil painting requires a solid foundation, so most of the authors selected for the exhibition were well– known artists, however, there were also talented newcomers

Occasionally, Old Mr. Quintin would stop to listen to Estelle and Jason’s critiques. Estelle’s comments were always straight to the point, pointing out the unique features and highlights of the paintings, and it was clear to everyone why Old Mr. Quintin valued such a young girl so much.

At the center of the exhibition, Old Mr. Quintin stopped in front of a painting and smiled. Take a look at this one, Estelle.”

This was a painting of a lotus flower, and her eyes narrowed slightly as her gaze fell on the author’s signature.
