Chapter 1070

Charlie quirked an eyebrow, “So, you’ve been testing the waters, trying to lure her, just to remind Estelle that you still have a place in her heart?”

Jonathan sighed helplessly, “I have no other choice. I can only hope she softens her heart, that’s my only chance.”

“That might be tough!” Charlie exhaled, showing empathy.

Jonathan scoffed at himself, “I brought this pain on myself, I have to make it right, can’t blame anyone else!”

“And what if,” Charlie’s handsome face held a smirk, “I mean what if, she really doesn’t love you anymore? She seems pretty close to Manley.” Jonathan expelled a cloud of smoke, a hint of obsession in his eyes amidst the smoke, In this lifetime, even in death, she can only die with me!” The next day, Estelle spent the afternoon drawing design sketches in her study. In the evening, she received a call from Jonathan.

She initially didn’t want to pick up, but after the phone rang five or six times, she answered, her voice calm and polite, “Mr. Lamont.” Jonathan said, “Let’s have dinner tonight, I’ll pick you up.”

“I’m sorry, I have something to do tonight.” Estelle gently declined.

“What’s up?”

“Please don’t ask too much!!

Jonathan didn’t get flustered, he chuckled softly, “don’t you want your gun anymore?”

Estelle raised an eyebrow she knew her gun was missing and suspected Jonathan might have it, she didn’t show any surprise, just said lightly, “Please give the gun to Henson, I’ll pick it up on Saturday.”

Jonathan chuckled, “You want Henson to know his teacher carries a gun to class every day? He might be mature for his age, but shouldn’t you be careful about the influence it has on him?”

Estelle took a deep breath, and after a moment asked, “Where should we meet?”

‘I’ll pick you up in an hour.”

“Give me the address, I’ll go there myself!”

“Don’t piss me off, or the police still investigating Christian’s death would be very interested in this gun.

Estelle narrowed her eyes, “Are you threatening me?”

“No, this is just a reminder.” The man’s tone was gentle.

Estelle’s gaze was cold, she answered in a low voice, “I’ll be downstairs in an hour.”

“Wait for me!”

The man’s words were deep and gentle; Estelle quickly hung up the phone.

After hanging up, Estelle calmed down for a while, and then continued drawing, but her mind was blank, without any ideas.

An hour passed quickly, Jonathan called on time, telling her he had arrived.

Estelle hung up and walked out, she didn’t even change her clothes, casually tied up her hair, took her bag and walked downstairs.

Jonathan was waiting outside the car for her, seeing her casual attire, he couldn’t help but sigh. At least when she met Manley, she would change her clothes and dress up a bit, but when meeting him, she

was so casual. Was it because she truly didn’t care?

He opened the passenger side door for her, tried to fasten her seatbelt after she got in, but Estelle had already done it herself, giving off an air of indifference, “I can do it.”

Jonathan pursed his lips lightly, stood up and closed the car door.

After he got in the car, Estelle immediately asked, “Where’s my gun?”

Jonathan was wearing a grayish-blue shirt today, which made him look more mature and handsome. He glanced at her, and said, “Let’s have dinner first. We can discuss other things later.”

Estelle remained calm, didn’t argue, and turned her head to look out the car window.
