Chapter 1110

Estelle didn’t get it, and she asked, “Why is Cindy picking a fight with you?”

Cindy already nabbed Freddy. You’d think she’d steer clear of Marina, why was she trying to stir the pot?

Marina snorted sarcastically, “She’s trying to show off. When Freddy couldn’t pick between us, his mom found out about Cindy and had someone lay a beatdown on her at her own doorstep. She’s always thought I had a hand in that. Now that Freddy is with her, she’s probably looking for a chance to get even.”

Estelle suddenly realized something and turned to Jonathan, “Was the game something Carson whipped up on the fly?”

Jonathan replied, “Yeah, it came out of the blue.”

Estelle confirmed her suspicion that Carson had intentionally arranged it. Well, they might as well kick back and enjoy the show!

On the field, the teams quickly took their places.

Despite the game being a last-minute addition, the crowd was buzzing with excitement. People even managed to get banners ready in no time, cheering for their friends or crushes.

The moment the players hit the field, the stands erupted into cheers.

Estelle’s eyes instantly found Carson. He wore a black jersey with the number 12, looking nothing like his usual prim and proper self. He looked even more dashing under the sun.

Girls who barely knew him started chanting “12”!

Estelle spotted Freddy after a bit of a search. It was dark when she saw him yesterday, so she had a hard time finding him. He was in a white jersey. Even though they were both in sports gear, Freddy wasn’t as tall or as buff as Carson. Standing together, he was noticeably shorter.

The game was the only one for the day, given the hot weather and the fact that the crowd was made up of visitors. It wrapped up in 45 minutes.

The match began, with Carson’s team taking the kickoff.

Estelle wasn’t a soccer connoisseur. All she saw was Carson’s team starting to pass the ball around and the other team trying to intercept it. The spectators in the stands fell silent, their eyes fixed on the tense field right from the start.

Ten minutes in, Carson scored the first goal. The sight of his graceful move sparked a round of applause from the crowd.

Jonathan glanced at Estelle, seeing her eyes glued to the game. He frowned and whispered, “I thought you said soccer wasn’t your thing?”

“I never really watched it before. It’s kind of fun!” Estelle replied.

It seemed like stepping onto the field gave everyone a certain charm.

Jonathan turned to Charlie and said, “We should have a game one of these days.”

Another ten minutes later, the ball found its way to Carson. He dribbled a bit, then suddenly passed the ball. The rapidl spinning soccer ball flew past Freddy and toward the number 5 player behind him. Freddy moved instinctively to but the ball hit him right between the legs.

Freddy cried out in pain and collapsed to the ground, clutching his groin and writhing in agony.

The referee and other players circled around, checking on Freddy.

Seeing Freddy’s pale face twisted in pain, the referee quickly suggested, “There’s a clinic in the park. You should get checked out.”

In Freddy’s mind, his team was already one goal down. If he left the field now, even with a pro player like Bradon, they might still lose. For his $50 million, he clenched his teeth and waved off the suggestion, “I’m good. I can keep playing.”

The referee looked worried, “Are you sure you’re okay?”

Freddy forced himself to his feet, fighting off the searing pain in his abdomen. He shook his head, “I’m really fine!”
