Chapter 129

Norah was lost in thought and was momentarily stunned by the words before she replied, “The day after tomorrow. Why?”

“No big deal, just need to let the driver know when to pick you up.”

“I’ve made plans with my classmates to go on a trip after school gets out,” Norah said with a sly smile.

Jonathan replied, “As long as your parents agree, I’m cool with it!”

Norah pouted and snorted, “Fine.”

When they were almost done eating, Jonathan turned to Henson and said, “So, after your sister finishes her exams and Ms. Macclain doesn’t have to teach anymore, do you want her to come over and tutor you every day?”

“No need!” Henson replied with a hint of arrogance, “I’m already way ahead, even if I take a break, they can’t catch up to me.”

Jonathan looked down, and after a moment, he simply said, “Alright then.” He got up and said, “You guys keep eating, I’ll head upstairs

now.”

Once Jonathan left, Norah turned and said, “Why do I feel like he’s not happy? Does he have a problem with Estelle?”

Henson frowned, “What could he possibly have against her? She’s not his tutor!”

Norah shrugged, “Maybe I’m overthinking it. Just make sure to put in a good word for Estelle around him!”

“I’m already getting top marks, that should speak for itself, shouldn’t it?” Henson dismissed her.

Norah chuckled, “True that! When mom and dad come back, I’ll have to make sure they thank me for finding such a great tutor for you!”

Henson scoffed, “If anyone should be thanked, it’s Ms. Macclain, not you!”

“But I found Estelle for you! Who else would you thank?”

Henson gave her a side–eye, “You better worry about breaking the news about your love life to mom and dad!”

Norah’s face turned red, “None of your business!”

“I’m not going to bother with you. Open your eyes wide and don’t let anyone deceive you.”

Norah glared at him, “What’s it to you anyway, you little brat!”

Henson didn’t bother arguing with her and finished his last bite of food before heading upstairs to play games with Estelle.

When Estelle finished her exams, Magdalen was waiting for her outside the school, claiming she had a plan to help her relax.

When the car stopped in front of Magdalen’s private studio, Estelle asked, “So, where are we going exactly?”

“There’s a party tonight with a three–star Michelin chef making amazing desserts!” Magdalen leaned over the car door and grinned enticingly at Estelle.

Estelle chuckled, “Are you taking me to freeload food and drinks again?”

Magdalen opened the car door, pulling her out, “No, I need you to help me look good!”

At 7 pm, they arrived at the hotel, and a woman wearing a wine–red evening gown greeted them, “Miss Magdalen!”

After some small talk, the woman looked at Estelle and sweetly smiled, “You must be Miss Estelle?”

Estelle softly smiled, “You know me?”

“I’ve heard about you many times from Miss Magdalen. She said you’re her best friend and the most beautiful girl she’s ever seen, sol recognized you right away!” The woman gently smiled, revealing her dimples, and stretched out her hand, “I’m Sylvia Jarvis.”

Estelle was taken aback by her name, gently shaking her hand with a smile, “Nice to meet you.”

Magdalen grinned radiantly, “Hold up, the most beautiful‘ bit wasn’t really my words. Don’t use me to flatter Estelle, Sylvia.”

Sylvia half–jokingly replied, “You said she’s even more beautiful than me, so isn’t that the same thing?”

Estelle chuckled at her, Magdalen joining in, “You’re always floating about when it comes to beauty, how much have you been drinking?!”

“Just a joke! The party’s about to start. Let’s head inside.” Sylvia laughed.
