Chapter 1520

In front of the stage, Harriet, the boss of GK, sauntered over from backstage. The big players of today’s press conference were making their appearances one after another, and the whole venue was as silent as a graveyard.

Jason was here too, clad in a black shirt and black slacks. With gold–rimmed glasses perched on his nose, he looked like a total scholar.

Carmella took a deep breath. Finally, today she could wash away the shame of her past in front of Jason and make him rue his past actions.

Ever since the day she got kicked out of Snowy Studios by Jason and Estelle, she had been waiting for this day to come.

And now it had.

In a bit, she was going to make Jason apologize to her in person and admit his mistakes.

Whether she would forgive him or not depended on whether he was really sorry.

She would give him and Estelle a taste of their own medicine.

Carmella was chomping at the bit, her eyes were ablaze with excitement, and she couldn’t help but let a small smile play on her lips.

But before her smile could fully form, it froze on her face. She had spotted Estelle behind Jason!

Estelle was just a designer at Snowy Studios. What was she doing here at such a big event?

Carmella narrowed her eyes. Did Jason know about her beef with Estelle? Had deliberately brought Estelle along as a peacemaker?

Besides Harriet, GK had also sent over a manager from the planning department. From Snowy Studios, there were Jason and Sophia, and Estelle was seated right in between Jason and Harriet.

This seating arrangement had everyone surprised, and people were already whispering about Estelle’s role behind the scenes.

The Macclain family was taken aback too. Terrence asked Bennett in confusion about what was going on. Did he know Estelle was coming?

Bennett was just as clueless, and Simone next to him frowned, muttering under her breath, “What’s she doing here?”

Seeing Estelle seated between Jason and Harriet, a flicker of unease passed through Carmella’s mind. She had a bad feeling about this.

The five people on stage had taken their seats, but KING was nowhere to be seen. Didn’t GK’s announcement say that KING would show up in person to give everything an explanation?

Where was KING?

All these reporters were here today just to catch a glimpse of KING, weren’t they?

Natalia wondered, “Could Estelle be KING?”

Ever since Estelle showed up, people had been buzzing with speculation. Natalia’s voice was soft, but Carmella snapped around, responding firmly, “No way!”

Seeing Carmella’s strong reaction, Natalia clammed up.

Jason started to speak in a low voice, “There have been some rumors about GK and KING on the internet lately. We initially thought that truth would prevail, so we didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. We had hoped Ms. Carmella would step up, calm down her irrational fans, and clarity the truth. But we didn’t hear an apology from Ms. Carmella. Instead, we saw her trying to distance herself from the situation, stirring up emotions armong fans, causing a significant negative impact on Snowy Studios, and even threatening the safety of our designers. Therefore, we had to call this press conference to clarify the facts and expose some people’s true characters.”

Upon hearing Jason’s words, Carmella’s face darkened.

Elizabeth asked in confusion, “What’s going on? Weren’t Snowy Studios and GK going to publicly apologize to Carmella at this press conference? What’s he playing at with these words?”

Simone sneered, “Everyone, please calm down. Our lawyer has already sent out the letter, they have to apologize”

Jason’s speech caused a stir in the venue. A journalist stood up, asking loudly, “Mr. Gilder, the announcement from GK mentioned that XING would personally explain the incident. Where is KING? Why hasn’t he shown up yet?”

Hamet replied with a light smile, “KING is already here!”
