Chapter 252

Nicolas broke out in a cold sweat and whispered, “This place is close to the office, so I come here to eat occasionally after work.”

Norah didn’t say anything, knowing Estelle’s preferences, and she helped her order two dishes.

While waiting for the food, Leah looked at Norah’s bag, “Where did Ms. Lamont get the bag?”

Norah asked casually, “What’s the matter?”

Leah smiled meaningfully, “I’ve bought almost all of LV bags, but I’ve never seen one like yours!”

Norah replied casually, “It’s okay. I don’t really care about brands. I just buy the ones that I like.”

Leah smirked, “Young people always think that way, but when you start working, you’ll realize that having a nice bag is important or your coworkers will look down on you.”

Norah was wearing a custom–made outfit without any brand tags, while Leah only cared about brands.

Nicolas was quite awkward and poured Leah a glass of water, “You said you were thirsty when we got here, didn’t you? Have some water.”

Leah pouted at him, “I never drink tap water, you know that! I want fresh coconut water!”

Nicolas lowered his head, not daring to look at Norah. He turned around and asked the waiter to bring a few glasses of fresh coconut water.

The waiter came just in time to serve a variety of flavors of barbecue and a few appetizers. Leah was holding her knife and instructing Nicolas, “Cousin, I want the grilled ribs.”

Nicolas passed her the food.

Leah hummed, “I also want that one!”

Nicolas passed her another plate.

Estelle kept a cold expression on her face, glancing at the two across the table, feeling unhappy. Naturally, Norah’s expression wasn’t good, either. Lean took a sip of coconut water from her glass and frowned, “What this taste?”

She put her half–finished glass to Nicolas’s lips in front of Norah, “You try it, does it taste weird?”

Norah looked up at Nicolas.

Nicolas knew Norah was staring at him without even having to look up. He said sheepishly, “If it doesn’t taste right, don’t drink it. I’ll get you

another one.”

Leah pouted, “No, I want you to taste it!”

Nicolas hesitated for a moment before reluctantly drinking from Leah’s glass. Suddenly, there was a loud “snap” as someone slammed their knife

on the table.

Leah turned around, only to see that it was Estelle who had slammed her knife.

Norah turned her head, “What’s the matter?”

Estelle’s face was pale and her tone was disgusted, “Did you not hear a fly buzzing around in your ear? It’s really nauseating!”

Norah knew what she meant, shrugged and chuckled sarcastically, “Yeah, it’s pretty gross!”

Leah looked around, “Where’s the fly? This place is so clean, there can’t be any flies here!”

Nicolas felt really embarrassed. He tugged at Leah’s arm, “Let’s just eat first”

Halfway through the meal, Leah took out a makeup mirror and lipstick from her bag. She pouted, applied her lipstick, and asked Norah, “Big Sister Norah, do you think the color of my lipstick looks good? Cousin Nicolas picked it for me. He really has great taste, right?”

Norah looked at Leah’s heavily made–up face and replied indifferently, “I think you’re older than me, so you don’t need to call me big sister.”

Leah’s face stiffened, and she pouted, “I was calling you that because of my cousin. Don’t you think you might be too touchy?”
