Chapter 258

Before Estelle completely flipped out, Manley quickly stepped back and playfully said, “Don’t be mad, I’ll help you clean up the mess. I gotta say, babe, the way you punch people is so badass! I love it!”

Estelle frowned slightly, but Manley had already turned and hurried out the door.

Estelle didn’t know how Manley had dealt with Leah, but by the time she left, room 8805 was cleaned up and all of the people were gone.

So, besides Manley, nobody on the eighth floor knew she had hit Leah.

Manley was right, she really didn’t want Jonathan to know about this. If Jonathan found out, it would definitely cause even more trouble.

She wanted Norah to handle it herself since this was her own relationship problem.

When Jonathan arrived, he ran into Amy in the elevator. Amy cautiously greeted him, then handed him the things in her hand, “Mr. Lamont, Estelle hurt her hand. I bought her some medicine, please give it to her later.

Jonathan’s face darkened, “Where did she get hurt?”

Amy hurriedly explained, “She was cut on the back of her hand. When I left, Mr. Scott was helping Estelle apply some disinfectant, but I thought that wasn’t enough, so’l bought some hemostatic medicine too.”

Jonathan spoke calmly, “How much was it, I’ll pay you back.”

Amy shook her head, “It’s not much, Mr. Lamont. There’s no need to be so polite. It’s normal for colleagues to take care of each other.”

Jonathan thanked her, and as soon as the elevator door opened, he took the medicine and walked out.

He went straight toward the break room. When he arrived at the door, he told Amy, “Knock!”

Amy pursed her lips, stepped forward, and knocked, “Estelle, I’m coming in!”

Inside, Estelle was sorting her desk. She found Amy’s voice a little strange, and after she got up to open the door, she immediately noticed Jonathan standing outside.

Amy explained to Estelle, “I ran into Mr. Lamont in the elevator. You two can talk, I’ll go back to my work.”

Amy then nodded obediently at Jonathan and walked away quickly.

Estelle was the only one left in the room. Jonathan walked in, closed the door, took at her hand, and asked in a deep voice, “How did this happen?”

Estelle carelessly pulled out her hand, “A customer broke a bottle in the private room. I wasn’t paying attention when cleaning it up. It’s no big

deal!”

Jonathan pulled her down to sit, took out the medicine Amy had bought, and applied it to her wound again.

Estelle was used to getting hurt, so she didn’t care much about these cuts, “It’s not necessary, I’ve already put some medicine on it.”

Jonathan held her hand, disinfected and medicated it again without asking. He casually asked, “Who helped you with the medicine?”

Estelle replied calmly, “What did Amy tell you?”

Not changing his expression, Jonathan asked again, “Who helped you with the medicine?”

Estelle remained silent, and then said candidly, “Manley helped me with the medicine.”

Jonathan looked down with his long eyelashes, his face unchanging and his movements still gentle. He simply responded with a light “Hmm.”

Estelle didn’t know what he was thinking, but she explained anyway, “Manley just happened to see it.”

Suddenly, Jonathan looked up, his deep eyes showing no emotion, and asked, “Did you thank him?”

Estelle hesitated.

Jonathan caressed her head and said, “I hope you stay away from him, but it seems to have the opposite effect! Before I kick him out of J City, you don’t have to pay attention to him. The more you care, the more excited he’ll be!”

Estelle raised her eyebrows, “I think, what excites and agitates him is your reaction.”

Jonathan’s eyes were filled with his usual indifference, “My reaction would be too much for the Scott family to bear!”
