Chapter 356

The two of them chatted for a bit about Morrison. Then, Magdalen asked Estelle, “So, how are things between you and Jonathan?”

Estelle put sugar into her coffee and looked down, murmuring “Pretty much the same as you guys.

“What do you mean? Magdalen frowned, “You guys broke up too?”

Estelle’s eyes dimmed for a moment. She didn’t even know if she and Jonathan were considered broken up or not.

At least with Magdalen and Morrison’s breakup, there was a clear statement. But for her and Jonathan? It seemed like no explanation was even needed.

How miserable!

The coffee was still bitter even with sugar added. Estelle took a sip and frowned, so she just asked the waiter for a cup of milk.

Magdalen looked at her disapprovingly, “You should just confront Jonathan and clear things up. After all, you’re his legal wife!”

Estelle mixed the milk into the coffee and stirred it slowly.

Her relationship with Jonathan had started with a ridiculous misunderstanding. After their one-night stand in the Sapphire Hotel, she introduced herself to him as Norah’s schoolmate. How could she tell him that she was actually Bennett’s daughter?

Later on, they became lovers by mistake, and the secret kept growing bigger. She had more and more concerns, making it even harder to tell him the truth.

Would he think that everything was just a plot by her if he knew she was from the Macclain family?

In Jonathan’s eyes, he and the young lady from the Macclain family were already divorced.

The two sat in a coffee shop all afternoon. Magdalen had perhaps too much coffee and was quite excited, “Men? Screw them! Let them all scram! Tonight, I’ll take you to a fun place to properly celebrate our single life!”

Estelle replied, “I have to go to work tonight.”

“Don’t go!”

Magdalen took Estelle to the 9th Mansion.

A waitress came over and asked if they had a reservation.

Before Magdalen could answer, someone entered and called out, “Estelle!”

Estelle knew who it was without even turning around. She thought to herself, “Is J City really that

small?”

Manley came over, surrounded by a few people, told Clement and Ali to go upstairs first, then grinned and asked, “Are you here to see me?”

Estelle gave him a clear-eyed stare, “No.”

“I just love how straightforward you are!” Manley laughed.

Estelle was totally speechless.

Manley had his hands in his pockets and smiled, “Come upstairs with me. They have really good ice cream here, and I’ll buy it for you.”

His tone was completely that of coaxing, as if talking to a strange kid saying, “Come with me, I’ll buy you candy!”

Estelle looked at him speechlessly and whispered, “Just go away, or else I’ll hit you!”

Manley frowned, looking both innocent and wronged, “When no one’s around, I don’t mind you hitting me, but can you spare me some dignity when we’re in public?”

Magdalen laughed and said, “Mr. Scott, you should try it on me, Ella will listen to me.”

Manley immediately grinned, “Ms. Sampson, do you also love ice cream?”

Magdalen shook her head, “I don’t, that’s Ella’s favorite.”

Manley raised an eyebrow, insinuating, “How about I invite you to a show?”

Magdalen’s eyes sparkled with interest, “That I can do!”
