Chapter 391

The bar was filled with passionate music and the strong smell of alcohol. Under the dim lights, Magdalen her eyes closed, seemingly oblivious to someone approaching her.

“Magdalen!” Estelle shouted, rushing over.

Kevin looked up, puzzled, only to see a dark figure flash past as Estelle approached, striking him hard on the head.

Estelle froze, while Kevin leaned to the side with blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. He had a dazed, confused expression – he was drunk!

Morrison, with a cold and handsome face, picked up Magdalen directly, holding her horizontally in his arms and headed for the exit.

Magdalen opened her eyes, and upon seeing Morrison, she became excited and struggled vigorously, “Let me go, you jerk! Put me down!”

The man’s eyes were dark and fierce behind his gold-rimmed glasses, as he held Magdalen tightly, refusing to let her go.

“Ella, Ella save me!” Magdalen cried, kicking and screaming for Estelle.

Estelle quickly approached and grabbed Morrison’s arm.

Thinking it was Kevin, Morrison was enraged and violently shook Estelle off.

Estelle stepped back, bumping into a sturdy, broad chest, and was immediately held tightly in strong

arms.

She looked up blankly and saw the man’s cold face.

Jonathan looked displeased, “Mr. Langston, it’s fine to protect your own woman, but don’t hurt my people!”

Morrison realized it was Estelle, frowned, and said solemnly, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to.”

Jonathan took off his suit jacket and draped it over Estelle’s shoulders, holding her wrist to check for any injuries, his voice low, “Are you hurt?”

Estelle pursed her lips and shook her head.

Morrison spoke up, “I’ll personally apologize to Mr. Lamont and Estelle another day. But now, my wife is drunk and I need to take her home. So, excuse us!”

Before Jonathan could respond, Estelle immediately said, “You can’t take Magdalen away!”

At this point, Magdalen had stopped causing a scene, nestling in Morrison’s arms and burrowing into his chest, “Morrison, my head hurts so bad!”

“Baby, just bear with it for a moment.” Morrison kissed her forehead to comfort her, before looking at Estelle, “What Magdalen saw earlier was not the truth. When I have time, I will explain everything to you. You know best about what’s going on between us. Do you think she can really leave me?”

Estelle frowned, glancing at Magdalen snuggling against Morrison, and couldn’t find the words to

say.

Chapter 391

“Thank you for taking care of Magdalen.” Morrison said before carrying Magdalen and striding away. Estelle quickly followed, worried, but was held tight by Jonathan’s grip on her wrist.

His gaze deep and concentrated, Jonathan pulled her towards the exit, not letting her go.

“Where are we going?” Estelle asked, frowning.

Jonathan glanced back at her, his voice low, “Do you really want to stay here?”

Estelle pursed her lips and said nothing.

Upon leaving the bar, they found Jonathan’s car parked outside. He opened the passenger side door and shoved Estelle in, before forcefully closing the door.

After getting in the car, Jonathan reached for a cigarette, took a look at Estelle but didn’t light up.

It was already late in the night, and the car was shrouded in darkness. The dim light from street lamps outside cast a layer of faint shadow on the man’s side profile. As he pursed his lips, he said softly, “Magdalen is Morrison’s fiancée. What are you trying to stop?”

“They’ve broken up!” She replied, her eyes downcast.

“Do they look like they’ve broken up?” Jonathan frowned at her, “If they still have feelings for each other, even if they break up, they’ll eventually get back together. By getting in their way, you’re meddling in their affairs.”

Estelle’s face was stern, “What if Morrison did things that hurt Magdalen?”

“That’s their little love game, which you clearly don’t understand!”

“What kind of ‘love game?’ Letting another woman sleep in your own bed?”

Jonathan was taken aback, hesitating for a moment before saying, “Maybe it was just playing a part. Men sometimes can’t help themselves when it comes to such incidents!”

“I won’t accept this kind of ‘playing a part,” argued Estelle.

Jonathan squinted his long eyes slightly, “Why are you so mad? I won’t do that!”
