Jonathan came in through the glass door, holding Milo by the leash, and said; “What are you guys talking about? You all seem so happy!” Estelle couldn’t help but step back when she saw Milo, but Yvonne got up and quickly walked over, squatting down and hugging Milo’s neck affectionately.

Jonathan noticed Estelle’s reaction, patted Milo on the head, and said, “Go play outside!”

Milo turned and ran out. Yvonne pretended to be angry and complained, “Why’d you let Milo go outside? I wanted to play with him more!”

“Well, you can go out and play with him!” Jonathan said.

Yvonne bit her lip, turned to Mrs. Lamont, and said, “Auntie, look at Jonathan. He’s bullying me again!”

Mrs. Lamont let out a laugh and remarked, “I can’t control him anymore. I’ll leave him in your capable hands!”

Everyone in the room understood the implications behind Mrs. Lamont’s words. Yvonne’s face blushed slightly, and she stole a glance at Jonathan, playfully commenting, “I’m too lazy to handle him!”

Jonathan’s gaze unintentionally shifted towards Estelle. Their eyes briefly met before Estelle quickly averted her gaze, focusing on Mrs. Lamont instead. She spoke up, saying, “I’ll head upstairs now to tutor Henson.”

“Go ahead, dear. I’ll have someone bring you some food later,” Mrs. Lamont responded with a warm smile.

“Thank you!”

Estelle picked up her bag and headed upstairs.

Watching Estelle’s back, Yvonne sighed and said, “I always thought I was still young, but compared to Estelle, I feel old!”

She raised her eyebrow at Jonathan and said, “Jonathan, don’t you think? We feel like we’re a lot older than Estelle!”

Jonathan sat on the couch, casually looking at his phone and said indifferently, “I don’t care!”

Yvonne emphasized, “Of course it’s different! You’re a few years older than Estelle.”

Jonathan kept looking at his phone and said lightly, “I don’t feel it. That’s your feeling

Yvonne smiled awkwardly, “Is it?”

As Estelle neared the end of her tutoring session with Henson, there was a knock on the door, and Yvonne entered with a gentle greeting, “Henson!”

Perhaps due to their long–standing acquaintance, Henson held a fondness for Yvonne. Even in the midst of his recitation being interrupted, he didn’t display any annoyance and instead smiled warmly, “Auntie Yvonne!”

Estelle arched an eyebrow. Henson used to refer to her as “sister,” so when did he start calling her “auntie“?

Yvonne held a tray in her hands, showcasing a shrimp and cheese pizza. “I made this in the kitchen as a reward for you!”

Henson took the pizza and thanked her with a beaming smile.

Yvonne patted him on the shoulder and laughed, “Don’t eat it all by yourself! Share it with your teacher! Ms. Macclain has been working so hard tutoring you. You should be grateful, you know?”

Henson glanced at Estelle and said, “I’ve been sharing my nice things with her every time.”

Estelle felt a bit embarrassed, as if she had secretly asked the employer’s child to bring her stolen food.

Yvonne smiled and said, “That’s good. That means our Henson has grown up and learned to share!”

After saying that, she turned to Estelle, “Alright, I won’t disturb your class anymore. I’ll leave first!”

She walked to the door and then suddenly turned around, “Oh, by the way, Ms. Macclain, why don’t you stay for lunch? Jonathan and I both cooked. You can try our dishes and see who’s the better cook?”

Estelle looked at her and couldn’t tell if it was an illusion, but she felt that Yvonne was deliberately declaring her status in the Lamont family.
