Chapter 586

Everyone stood up to greet him, giving the main seat to Jonathan.

Jonathan scanned the crowd, his eyes pausing briefly on Estelle, and smiled, “I had some free time, so I thought I’d drop by. Carry on,

don’t mind me!”

Everyone thought Jonathan came over because of Yvonne being here. Yvonne couldn’t help but smile and said, “Aren’t you busy?”

“Doing alright!” Jonathan responded nonchalantly. “Carry on!”

Mayfield handed a copy of the design draft to Jonathan, who flipped through it with a slight frown.

The meeting room gradually quieted down, and soon everybody noticed something was off. They whispered among themselves, shooting glances at Inman, Alice, and the others.

Finally, Mayfield spoke up, “I’ve seen the design drafts from all of you, and there’s a small issue.”

Carmella felt sweaty palms and straightened up, sneaking a look towards Inman and Estelle.

“What’s the problem? Feel free to point it out, Mr. Mayfield!” Hannah said.

“Well, take a look at these two designs,” Mr. Mayfield took out two design drafts and placed them on the table, tactfully saying, “There are a few outfits in these two drafts that are almost identical. Are the two designers a little too in sync?”

Inman and Alice took back their designs and found three of them were the same.

Both Inman and Alice were shocked, turning to look at their assistants.

Coincidentally, those three designs were the ones their assistants had made.

Carmella saw Alice’s questioning gaze and immediately said with a serious face, “I did my sketches myself.”

Alice nodded slightly, smiling at Mayfield and the others, “My design was done by myself without referencing anyone else’s, so I have no clue about the others.”

Inman kept quiet, not wanting to pass the blame in front of everyone. It would only make them a laughingstock!

No one here would stand up for justice. This wasn’t a police station, after all!

At this stalemate, Jonathan suddenly chimed in, “The similarities aren’t important. Let’s compare the other three designs.”

“Mr. Lamont is right!” Mayfield laughed. “Let’s put aside this small issue for now and discuss your opinions.”

Jonathan flipped through the designs and casually said, “I think the outfits designed by Inman are nice, unique, and aesthetically pleasing.”

Estelle looked toward him, meeting his gaze before quickly looking away.

Alice and Miya both tensed up, knowing Firefly Media Group was the biggest investor in the film, and Jonathan’s word would pretty

much determine their future.

Yvonne glanced at Jonathan, then shifted her gaze to Estelle, who was seated behind her. A flicker of hidden bitterness flashed in her eyes as she gracefully voiced her opinion, “I respectfully disagree with Mr. Lamont. I believe Alice’s design draft is more suitable for me!”

Mayfield, who initially favored Inman’s design, paused upon hearing Yvonne’s statement, his words caught in his throat.

Hattie chimed in, adding her support, “I share Yvonne’s perspective. I also prefer Alice’s design!”

Alice couldn’t contain her excitement and promptly responded, “Thank you, Ms. Yvonne and Ms. Hattie, for your endorsement!”

Jonathan smiled faintly, his gaze shifting to Mayfield as he asked, “And what is your opinion, Mr. Mayfield? Which designer’s draft do you believe is the best?”
