Chapter 590

Carmella’s eyes sparkled, and her mind raced. Trying to keep her cool, she said, “Well, go ahead and check!”

Hannah remained calm, called the surveillance room downstairs, and soon someone brought up the complete footage. The surveillance showed that Estelle really did answer a phone call before heading to Carmella’s desk.

As for whether it was an address or a design in the drawer, due to the camera angle and Estelle’s figure blocking the view, it was impossible to see clearly.

Carmella quickly said, “Estelle must have thought of an excuse before she snooped on my design, that’s why she pretended to make a phone call.”

Inman glanced at her, “Estelle is quite impressive, preparing thoroughly before plagiarizing and using a phone call as a cover. But if she’s so meticulous, why wouldn’t she think about the surveillance? Isn’t that contradictory?”

Alice sneered, “Does it really matter if she made a call or not? The point is Estelle got into Carmella’s drawer, saw her design, and that’s the crucial part!”

Inman angrily said, “What evidence do you have to prove that Carmella’s design was in the drawer?”

Alice snapped back, “Inman, I suggest you don’t defend a plagiarist at this point, or I’ll assume you and Estelle are in on it together!”

Inman’s face flushed red, “There’s no evidence to prove that Estelle took the design, all you have is your side of the story! Say what you want, but I believe in Estelle, and we have a clear conscience!”

“What’s there, to argue about!” Miya chimed in, “Do any of you really believe an amateur student could create such a design? Inman, do you believe that?”

Inman frowned, realizing these people were just jealous of her and Estelle being selected, and wanted to bring them down.

Hannah coldly said, “Enough, all of you are designers, not street brawlers! This matter is very serious. I’ve called Mr. Gilder, he’ll be here soon to make a judgement!”

Upon learning that Jason was on his way, a solemn atmosphere engulfed the room, and everyone’s expressions turned serious. Carmella cast a sideways glance at Estelle, wearing a smug smirk on her face.

“What does it matter if it’s proven that she called Estelle?” she thought. “The fact remains that Estelle saw my design in the drawer!”

Estelle was about to respond, but when she heard Hannah calling for Jason, she chose to remain silent and patiently wait.

Inman offered her reassurance by patting her shoulder and whispering, “Don’t be afraid. I believe in you!”

Estelle’s face revealed no signs of worry. Instead, she maintained a serene expression, as if this matter had no bearing on her. She offered a gentle smile and asked, “Why do you have so much faith in me?”

Inman said, “Because, the last three designs were also created by you!”

She noticed that Estelle’s designs had a consistent style. This consistency wasn’t just in the clothes’ colors and types, but in how they matched the characters wearing them.

For example, these six outfits, even without accessories, one could easily tell which outfit belonged to Yvonne and which belonged to Hattie.

Her designs were suitable for both the actors themselves and the characters in the script!

This was a characteristic that only a high-level designer could have.

Although she didn’t know how Estelle did it, this definitely wasn’t something achieved through plagiarism!

Jason arrived quickly, entered the office, scanned the group, and asked, “What happened?”
