Estelle smiled faintly. “No problem!”

Yvonne smiled warmly. “Mr. Mayfield and I are old friends, and I’m familiar with everyone in the crew If you need anything, just let me

know.”

“Hmm, everyone is so nice!”

“I’m off to shoot the next scene. Well chat more later!” Yvonne laughed and nodded at Estelle before turning to leave

Around noon, Malloy Heam, who had been pursuing Hattie, came to visit the set, bringing lots of fnes, cakes, and other snacks Mayfield let everyone take a break, and Hattie had her assistant distribute the food. For a moment, everyone was praising Hattie

Estelle didn’t go over, instead, she told Mayfield she was going out for lunch.

The Movie Center was right where Xavier’s BBQ place was.

Yvonne’s assistant brought over some cake and fruit salad, sneering. “A little food and these people are bought off. Look at how smug Hattie is!”

Yvonne sat in a wicker chair, draped with a large scarf, holding a script in her hand, and whispered, “Just mind your own business and don’t worry about others!”

Her assistant muttered, “Okay,” and sat down to eat.

Soon, Hattie came over with a bowl of cornflakes, smiling sweetly, “Yvonne, have you eaten yet? I saved these especially for you!”

She bent down to set the bowl on the table and smiled brightly, “Give it a try!”

“Thanks!” Yvonne laughed.

“Don’t mention it!” Hattie’s smile grew even sweeter.

When Estelle arrived at Smokestack BBQ, the place was packed. She barely found a seat, and a girl in an apron came over and asked, “What would you like to eat?”

Estelle was startled and looked at her, “Norah?”

Norah noticed Estelle and couldn’t contain her delight. She nearly exclaimed, “Estelle, is that really you?”

Estelle, wearing a puzzled frown, grew even more curious. She asked, “Why are you here? Are you working as a waitress?”

Norah sat down across from Estelle, laughing heartily, and replied, “No, I’m just helping out!”

Estelle raised an eyebrow, still puzzled. “Helping out? What do

you mean?”

Norah proceeded to explain, and as she did, Estelle began to understand. A few days ago, Norah and her classmates had visited the Movie Center, but unfortunately, their phones were stolen. Norah had chased after the thief, who ended up in front of the BBQ place. Coincidentally, Xavier, who was sunbathing nearby, saw the commotion. With remarkable aim, Xavier threw a bottle at the fleeing thief, despite the considerable distance, hitting him squarely on the head and knocking him out.

Norah got her phone back, extremely grateful to Xavier. She and her classmates even had a meal at his BBQ place.

Afterward, she saw how busy the store was and decided to stay and help. She soon realized that being a waitress was actually quite fun. Since then, she came to help out often.

Norah poured water for Estelle, “I’m just having a good time here.”

Estelle asked, “Do your uncle and family know?”

“They just know I have a part-time job but don’t know the specifics. They’re pretty happy about it though, and even encouraged me.” Norah tilted her head proudly.

Estelle smiled faintly, “As long as you’re happy!”

“What would you like to eat? I’ll order for you!” Norah took out her little notebook, writing down Estelle’s order while muttering. “Their ordering system is really outdated here. I’ve got to help Mr. Flemmings improve it!”

Estelle ordered three plates of meat and some random side dishes.

Norah turned around and yelled, “Mr. Flemmings, three BBQ plates, one vegetable salad, and a glass of juice.”.
