Chapter 699

Jonathan’s complexion became even worse, he gritted his teeth tightly and said, “Is this what we need to discuss now?

**So what’s the point?” Estelle looked at him with a frown “Is it disappointing to know that it was me that night?”

Jonathan’s face went from pale to red in an instant. He lunged at her, grabbed her chin, and bit down hard on her lip.

“Ouch! Jonathan, that hurts” Estelle whimpered, struggling against him

He let her go and backed off a bit, his eyes locked onto hers. “Why didn’t you say anything? You knew that Hattie and I talked about that night. You knew I had it all wrong. Why didn’t you correct me? Why didn’t you tell me the truth?”

Estelle’s eyes were clear and watery “…

Jonathan could have bitten her again in frustration. There was a hint of bitterness in his voice. “You knew how much that night meant to me i couldn’t bring myself to ask you about it, or even mention it. Hattie kept using it as leverage against me, and I gave in every time I didn’t want her to say anything to you that might upset you.”

Estelle looked into his deep, brooding eyes and felt a pang of guilt. She bit her lip, winced when she hit the spot where he had bitten her, and her eyes welled up with tears. “Jonathan, I’m sorry. I regret lying to you.”

Jonathan looked at her, his heart aching. “If I had known it was you, if I had known…

He would have been overjoyed

Estelle took the initiative to sit on his lap, held his face, and whispered, “Don’t be angry, okay? You gave in to Hattie’s demand, can you do the same for me? No more being mad, okay?”

A light flashed in Jonathan’s eyes. When he was with her, he knew that it was not the first time for her, but in fact, he was always a little jealous

afterwards. But her man had been him all along!

No amount of anger could mask his joy. He couldn’t help but smile, leaned in, and kissed her forehead. “Why didn’t you tell me? You have no idea how happy I am!”

Estelle giggled, “And yet you’re still scolding me!”

“Shouldn’t I scold you for messing up?” He chuckled.

“You’re the one who got the wrong person!”

“What did you delete the surveillance video for? Jonathan asked puzzled, if she hadn’t deleted the surveillance video, he wouldn’t have found

Hattie either.

Estelle replied directly. “I don’t want you to know it’s me!”

“Why?”

“Do you think I should be proud of that?”

Jonathan chuckled. “Of course you should be proud to have slept with me!”

“You’re really shameless!”

Jonathan’s grin widened, “What were you doing there that night?”

Estelle leaned against his shoulder, and after a while said, “I went to meet someone, but got the wrong room.”

“Why did you run away?”

She answered jokingly. “I overheard you and Millard talking and thought you were a scary guy. I thought you’d beat me up if you found me in your room, so I ran away!”

Jonathan didn’t believe her. He ran his fingers through her hair and said softly. “I’m sorry”

Estelle snuggled closer to him and whispered, “No need to apologize. That was our beginning”

Jonathan relaxed, but her movements made him tense up again. He asked in a husky voice, “So, when we met again at your school, did you actually know it was me all along?

“Yes,” Estelle admitted.

“Then am I being teased by you like a clown?”
