Chapter 931

His mind was a total mess.

“Can you step out for a bit? I need some private” Jonathan said calmly.

“Sure, call me if you need anything” Wilma replied, then closed the door behind her

Jonathan, sitting on the couch, forced himself to chill and to rethink the whole situation from scratch.

When Bennett said Estelle had come to see him at the hotel, he must have meant the Sapphire Hotel, where they first met.

So, when she said she was seeing someone else, she actually meant him!

But, at that time, he was in a bit of a pickle. Then Millard came in, and she overheard his conversation with Millard and his sarcastic remarks to Bennett from the bed, so she chose to leg it by jumping out the window.

The next day, they ran into each other again at the University of J City. By then, she knew his true identity but played dumb.

The third time they met, it was raining, and she walked out of a villa neighborhood. She wasn’t there to tutor but to visit the Macclain family’s house. But why she would leave alone in the rain was beyond him.

Later, she came to the Lamont family’s house as a tutor.

Yet, he was still puzzled. How could she be Bennett’s daughter? Wasn’t she adopted by someone in C City? Why was her past such a mystery, a total blank? How did she come to know Xavier, Jason, and

the others?

Jonathan was super stressed. He got up and paced the room again, stopping at the dressing table. The dressing table was neat, with only two books on it.

He pulled open the drawer to find some basic skincare products and another book hidden away at the back.

Jonathan pulled out the book, wondering why it was stashed away. He casually flipped it open to find a photo sandwiched between the pages.

He pulled out the photo and froze! The familiar forest backdrop, the familiar camouflage outfits. His arm rested on the shoulder of a skinny girl. Her eyes were cold and numb, like a wolf’s.

He suspected Estelle had taken a photo from his study until he saw the date on the back of the photo. It was a blast from the past.

Jonathan’s expression changed dramatically. He flipped the photo over to look closely at the girl’s eyes.

Estelle, Stella!

Jonathan was at sixes and sevens, a flurry of images flashed across his mind but disappeared before he could grasp any of it.

He clutched the photo and dashed out of the room.

Stella, Gabriel, Wolverine.

It seemed like all the clues were falling into place.

He knew Gabriel was from the Jarvis family. So, what was Estelle’s connection with the Jarvis family?

He had to figure this out today!

Wilma watched as Jonathan hastily got into the car and drove off, puzzled by his sudden arrival and departure.

Jonathan drove to C City.

On the way, he tried calling Manley and Estelle, but no one picked up. He floored it all the way to C City, arriving in the afternoon.

Without stopping, he headed straight for the Jarvis family. It seemed like everything was coming to light, her carefully guarded secrets were all out in the open! Now, all he had to do was connect the dots.

When he arrived at the Jarvis family, the greeter, Old Wade, looked surprised to see him.

“I need to see Old Mr. Jarvis!” Jonathan said seriously.

“Mr. Lamont, please wait.” With that, Old Wade closed the door behind him and headed into the inner courtyard.
