Chapter 971

Marina, who had been standing next to Carson and Amiee, suddenly spoke up, “Carson, you need to have a serious chat with Cicely, I can leave you two alone.”

Estelle looked at Marina in surprise. She thought Marina would confront Carson as his fiancée and argue with Cicely. She didn’t expect such calmness from Marina

in this situation.

Amiee also murmured, “This Marina is quite interesting.”

Carson quickly responded, “No need, I’ve already cleared the air with her. There’s nothing more to say.”

“Are you Marina?” Cicely suddenly turned to Marina.

Marina nodded, “Yes, that’s me.”

Cicely looked at her with teary eyes, “Can I talk to you?”

Seeing her crying so hard, Marina’s heart softened. She took a couple of steps forward, “Sure, what do you want to say?”

“Don’t go!” Estelle whispered

But it was too late Cicely suddenly grabbed Marina and pulled her over, retreating continuously. At the same time, she pulled out a small knife, held it against Manna’s neck, and shouted, “Carson doesn’t love you! Why are you forcing him to marry you?”

Cicely ‘s sudden outburst startled everyone. Carson stepped forward in anger, “Cicely, what are you doing“”

“I’m just seeking justice for myself and for our lost child” Cicely yelled out loud, her hand holding the knife trembling. The sharp blade cut into Marina’s neck, and blood soon started dripping.

Forced to lift her head, Marina tried to keep as far away as possible from the knife in Cicely’s hand and said softly, “We can talk this out. Your issues have nothing

to do with me!”

“You’re the one he’s marrying, how can this not concern you?” Cicely looked at Marina with jealousy.

“Cicely, calm down!”

“Cicely!

Both Jane and Carson wanted to rush up

“Everyone stay where you are, or I’ll kill her!” Cicely was suddenly enraged. She held Marina hostage with one hand and with the other, she picked up a bottle of wine from the cabinet and threw it at the crystal chandelier above!

There was a loud “bang“!

The wine bottle and the chandelier shattered together, and countless pieces of glass scattered like rain.

“Ahh!”

Screams filled the room. Just as Estelle was about to back off, Jonathan had already come up behind her. He quickly embraced her and turned around to shield her from the flying debris

For a moment, shouts echoed throughout the room.

Estelle was tightly held in the man’s arms. Unconsciously, she tensed up and tried to break free, but the man quickly checked her over anxiously, asking softly. “Are you hurt?”

The chandelier in the hall was out, leaving only the dim wall lights on. The room was plunged into semi–darkness.

The man kept staring at her, his deep eyes filled with panic and anger.

Estelle’s heart raced. She quickly backed away, freeing herself from his grip. She kept her distance from him and turned her head to look for Amiee.
