Chapter 404: Fire Bird

Meanwhile, Charles continued to reconstruct his spell models for the next three months and finally shifted his attention to his soul form.

He had been feeling weird since he started reconstructing the spell model, though. It was as if this mysterious Rebirth Fire and the Luck power not only reformed his soul but also seemed to be merging the fused soul-shards with his elemental form!

'And, I can tell that my physical body and consciousness had already fused with this elemental form. Three months ago, I didn't sense my physical body's presence within my elemental form. Now, not only do I sense my physical body's presence, but I'm also sensing my consciousness with my elemental form. Something strange is happening.' He couldn't help but take a deep look at his current form.

'Wait… Could this be the soul mutation?' He recalled the moment when the Holem's Crown mentioned the soul mutation and turned serious.

'He said that one's soul will mutate after Rank-6 and become more solid. Moreover, this soul mutation will also increase one's lifespan to the maximum level. To put it more simply, a Rank-7 Mystic will get an average lifespan of 200,000 years. And, those who achieved this stage would be called 'Demi-Gods.' This title should be the same for Divines, Bloodline Warlocks, Ancient Mages and Mystics. Did the curse accident cause my soul to go through the mutation process at an earlier stage?' He couldn't help but show a surprised look on his face.

'So, this soul mutation process is merging process with the consciousness and physical body, huh. Hmm, the heart explosion seemed to have triggered the fusion of my consciousness and physical body with the elemental body. Then, this rebirth power and the 'Luck' power seemed to be helping with the final process and fusing the merged soul shards with the elemental form. Once this process is over, I might be able to stay transform into any of these four forms willingly.' But Charles also knew that there would be some disadvantages as well.

'But it's not a serious problem like this one, though.' He nodded inwardly and then shifted his attention towards the outside.

If those fused soul shards hadn't merged with his elemental form, it would be impossible for him to sense the outside world.

But after merging, he felt that it was possible to sense the Rebirth Flame essence to some extent.

'I think it's worth a try to comprehend the rebirth flame!' As that thought appeared in his mind, he didn't waste any more time and tried to probe the red flame.

But even after spending more than two days, he made no progression at all.

'I can't even understand the information hidden in a single streak of the Rebirth Flame. No, there seemed to be thousands of zigzag lines hidden in that single fire streak.' He was a little annoyed.

He suddenly looked up at the dark sky and zeroed his attention on the Rebirth Flame spell model.

'The Fire Bird's Will!'

He flew up towards the dark sky and soon arrived in front of the spell model. Then, he touched the spell model and tried to contact the weakened Will of the Fire-Bird.

To his surprise, he received a reply in an instant.

"What do you want, Human?" A female voice echoed in his mind.

On the other hand, Charles didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point.

"I want you to help me comprehend the Rebirth Flame."

Meanwhile, a deep sigh leaked out of the Fire Bird's imprint. Then, it flapped its illusionary wings, flew out of the spell model, and soon arrived in front of his face.

"I don't have enough strength to converse with you for a long time. Give me your Incarnation's divine power, I'll teach you how to comprehend the Rebirth Fire." The Fire Bird's Will spoke.

Meanwhile, Charles stared at the illusionary bird imprint and soon sighed.

He knew that this Fire Bird imprint had enough strength to live for more than 20 years. But this sneaking Will somehow noticed the divine power in his Fire Bird incarnation and decided to take a risk. Yes, it was risking its existence to bargain with Charles.

If he disagreed, it would go back to his spell model and stay over there for the next four years. If he tries to suppress it, it would retaliate with full force and try to harm his soul.

Facing such a situation, Charles would instead give up on the Incarnation than risk his own life. In truth, he had no use for the divine power hidden in that Incarnation. The main reason Charles kept it within his Inner World was to use it during the earlier battle. Unfortunately, he hadn't got a chance to use that Incarnation's strength!

Shaking his head, he shifted his attention towards the Fire Bird imprint and pondered.

During the past three months, he also noticed that this Fire Bird's Will remained in the spell model and tried its best to conceal its presence from the outside world.

'This imprint wants to live a new life?' He felt that was the possible explanation.

"Why are you hiding? Why do you need my Incarnation's divine power?" He suddenly asked, without hiding his curiousness.

Meanwhile, the imprint paused its flying and soon spoke.

"You seem to be a straightforward person." The Fire Bird's Will paused for a moment and then told him about its unwillingness to fuse with the Rebirth Star. Although the original Fire Bird's goal was to reunite with its creator, the Will didn't think of the same. But still, it was in a dilemma as to whether to fulfill its true soul's wish or live a new life.

Charles felt this scene strangely familiar.

'Eddie Nightwind's Incarnation also did something like this. Heh, if I die permanently, would my Wills also do a similar thing? Is this the result of freedom? It seems so.' He nodded inwardly.

After some talking, he agreed to Will's request and waved his hand. A moment later, a strange cry resounded from the faraway Inner World, and soon a crimson bird flew out from it.

Currently, it held a strange bluish crystal in its beak and seemed to be protecting it with its life on the line.

It was Charles's soul core!

But unlike before, cracks appeared in many areas, but it wasn't on the brick of breaking down.

The reason his Inner World remained together was mainly due to this soul core.

Charles soon descended towards the Incarnation and took the soul core from it. Then, he closed his eyes, erased all the memories of that Incarnation, and shifted his attention towards the Fire Bird's Will.

Meanwhile, it flapped its tiny wings, shot towards the Fire Bird incarnation like a bullet, and soon entered.

The next instant, the Fire Bird's Will took complete control over the Incarnation, absorbed all the divine power, and started to transform.
