Chapter 511: Her Role

At that moment, Charles saw a zombie-like woman wandering mindlessly in the middle of the dense elemental forest and frowned.

She was carrying a blood-stained ax hanging around her waist, her head was tilted sideward, and her eyes looked more like a void of emotions.

'What happened to her?'

He instantly disappeared from the sky while dispelling his [Fallen Angel's Wings] spell and soon appeared in front of her.

She was a young woman in her late twenties, and she had long, brown hair, almond amber eyes, a Nubian nose, and a pear-shaped face.

She wore an armor-like dress and appeared stinking because of her unclean body. Blood and flesh appeared all over her face, and she acted more like a wild animal.

Currently, she was walking in the dense forest while dragging her half-broken feet and seemed to be moving towards the opposite wooden trunk.

She was none other than Chaos maiden, aka Nora!

As he saw her in this condition, he couldn't help but pity her.

'I thought she is a lucky one. But what happened to her?'

Charles raised his hand, restrained her using invisible threads, and soon scanned her body and soul.

'As I thought, her memories are erased. Her original consciousness looks empty. It must be due to this Madness Land...' He instantly cast [Burning Consciousness] spell on her and checked if her Inner World had some memories.

Thankfully, the strange divine power didn't affect it, causing him to breathe out a sigh of relief.

"What should I do now?" In truth, Charles would've abandoned her or killed her on the spot for not completing her mission.

But the World Will's interference made him feel that something fishy was going on here.

'There is something important about her. Otherwise, the World's Will wouldn't have brought me here.'

Without any delay, he waved his hand, pulled Nora into [Fire domain], and blocked the divine power from contaminating her original consciousness.

The next second, the craziness on Nora's face started to change and soon turned into a confused one.

At that moment, her memories from the Inner World started to refill her Original Consciousness.

Within a few minutes, she regained most of her memories and soon stared at him in confusion.

"W-Who are you?" She asked in an anxious tone but soon froze as she saw that his face changed into a Red Human woman before returning to normal.

At that moment, she realized who he was and widened her eyes in surprise.

'He is the Champion of Red Bird!'

She soon recalled all the incidents that happened in the City of Red and quivered involuntarily.

"Y-Your Grace!" He hurriedly bowed her hand and greeted him.

Meanwhile, Charles released the invisible strings, cast a [Soul Heal] spell on her, and asked.

"I told you to go to Miner's Den, right? How did you come here? Where are the others? Why did you leave the Twin Leaf in Blood Valley?"

Upon hearing those words, Nora opened her mouth to say something but couldn't remember a thing.

"A-All I remember was that we entered the Blood Valley, and a group of Blood Foxes ambushed us. After that, my memories appear hazy... I think some of us managed to escape the Blood Valley but went in a separate direction for some odd reasons." Her voice trailed off as she finished her words.

Confusion appeared on her face.

But suddenly, she seemed to have recalled something and spoke in a hurry.

"There is one strange incident that happened during our journey, Your Grace. I remember a strange crimson-haired Red Human kid appeared out of nowhere and asked us to bring him to the Twilight Land. Of course, we refused his request. But I felt familiarity when I saw him at that time but couldn't remember his face now."

'A strange kid? Could it be Casper?' Charles furrowed his brows and soon felt that might be possible.

"I know that Immortal Kid was up to something, but I didn't think his action would even cause the World's Will to tremble in fear. Who is he?" He rubbed his chin and soon felt a headache.

'I didn't come here to pamper that Goblin Child. But the World's Will... Hmm, that Immortal Kid might be after that Goblin Child or someone else.' He pondered silently for a while and soon took out the 'Talisman of Fortune' artifact from his space ring.

Charles knew that this World's Will was planning something big, so he decided to let it a hand.

'Everyone deserves a second chance after all.'

Nodding inwardly, he extracted a part of his memories and directly sent it to Nora.

Following that, he passed the Talisman to her and added.

"I won't interfere much in this matter. Go on your own."

Saying so, he manipulated the surrounding spatial element and created a portal for her to walk through.

Simultaneously, he also secretly erased the [Burning Consciousness] spell from her Inner World.

As for the [Curse of the Overlord] spell, it had long disappeared from her dark space, making him suspect someone was indeed manipulating behind the scenes.

Although Nora got confused by Charles's words, she didn't say anything and hurriedly walked inside.

Charles watched her disappearing, closed the portal, and silently flew up in the air.

At that moment, he also noticed that the World's Will's invisible force had also disappeared from the surroundings.

'It seems Nora's life is more important than I thought.' He thought inwardly and cast [Fallen Angel's Wings] spell.

Two eerie black wings appeared behind him as he flapped them forcefully and shot towards the direction of Miner's Den, that situated at the farthest end of the Twilight Land.

Powered with his wisdom power, the speed of his movement reached more than 750 km/hr and surpassed the speed of sound!

Sonic booms continued to resound whenever his wings flapped in the sky and caused every being in the land and sky to tremble in fear.

Within a few minutes of travel, Charles managed to cross multiple settlements, forests, and even some cities and arrived at the Savage Forest, where he stayed there for hunting.

Instantly, he reduced his movement speed and slowed down.

At the same time, he suddenly looked up at the cloudy sky and spoke with a cold smile.

"It's been a long time, Dawn Child."

At that moment, a monstrous 30 meters long Red Dragon descended from the white clouds and flapped its wings on the opposite side.

The gigantic being was covered in a crimson flame that looked like it burned from within. It had sharp amber eyes, horns at the back of its head, long claws on its claws, big batlike wings, a long neck, and a serpentine body. The Red Dragon was accompanied by an innumerable number of strange butterflies and a strong smell of sulfur that made everyone want to vomit in disgust.

"Human! You finally showed up? I was expecting your arrival." A rough voice came out of it.

"You seem to be full of confidence." Charles didn't dare to waste any more time and directly cast [Curse of the Overlord] spell on the Red Dragon.

At the same time, he raised his hand, pointed his finger at the cloudly sky, and muttered.

"Try to survive this spell then."
