Chapter 1053 Similar Plan

“The president has arrived, and the meeting is officially underway.”

Janet and Debra sat together, whispering, occasionally casting hostile glances toward Lena.

“What are your opinions on this project?” The president asked directly, looking at everyone present at the meeting.

Before Lena could respond, Janet gracefully stood up. “To ensure the smooth acquisition of this contract, I have prepared a project proposal for everyone’s reference at any time.”

The president, seemingly shocked for Janet to be the first to speak, nodded with interest. “Very well, let’s start with you then.”

Janet nodded, confidently taking a USB drive and walking towards the projection screen.

As she opened the project proposal, Lena sharply gazed at Debra.

Undoubtedly, Janet had smoothly taken over Debra, bringing her to the meeting with a premeditated plan.

What Janet displayed on the projection screen was the project plan Lena had previously formulated. However, Debra had apparently copied it secretly and presented it to Janet as a gift to show her fidelity.

Janet didn’t miss Lena’s surprise when Lena saw her own proposal. Smugly, Janet continued her presentation. At this moment, Debra smiled at Lena triumphantly. If Lena hadn’t transferred her out of the assistant position, she would not have given Janet this proposal so easily.

Lena could only blame herself for being too ruthless.

Janet confidently recounted the project, adding some of her own ideas and earning the president’s approval.

“I think Janet’s proposal is well done. Do you have any additions?”

Implicitly, it seemed that the president intended to go with Janet’s plan.

The satisfaction on Janet’s face couldn’t be concealed as she glanced triumphantly at Lena.

They had caught Lena off guard. Even if Lena was skilled, she couldn’t come up with a new plan on the spot.

Thinking this, Janet leaned towards Debra and asked in a low voice, “Are you sure she doesn’t have another plan?”

Debra nodded confidently. “I’m sure. She was busy with this plan for three months and didn’t have any backup.”

Relieved, Janet patted Debra’s shoulder. “As long as I secure this project, I won’t forget your contribution.”

Debra quickly nodded with a smile, avoiding eye contact with Lena.

Just as Janet felt so sure that she would get the project, Lena stood up and said, “Coincidentally, I also have a proposal. I would like everyone to take a look.”

The president immediately showed interest, while Janet’s complexion changed slightly.

Lena calmly walked forward, presenting her proposal to everyone.

The atmosphere became subtly tense because Lena’s proposal was remarkably similar to Janet’s but surpassed hers.

The president frowned, “Why does your proposal resemble Janet’s so much?”

Janet’s face turned extremely unpleasant.

However, Lena didn’t give her a chance to retort. She spoke first. “I’m not sure about the details. What I do know is that before the project started, my assistant transferred to Janet’s team.”

The president looked meaningfully at Janet.

Janet hurriedly denied, “You’re talking nonsense! This proposal is clearly my own! You copied from me!”

To prevent Lena from accusing them of plagiarism, Debra deliberately deleted the original manuscript. That was why Janet dared to say so.

However, Lena confidently smiled in response.
