Charlotte’s unexpected response left Congreve with no choice but to nod in agreement. Seeing Congreve finally relent, the headmaster let out a long sigh of relief.

Inside was a sparkling sky-blue sequined dress, shimmering under the lights. “This dress suits you perfectly,” Joe’s voice suddenly rang out, and Charlotte turned to see him standing at the door, smiling at her.

Charlotte immediately understood who the gift was from. “This dress is too precious, | can’t accept it,” she said.

With her keen fashion sense, Charlotte recognized the dress as a new haute couture from Valentino, likely priced at no less than a hundred thousand dollars.

Given her relationship with Joe, she didn’t think it appropriate to accept such an expensive gift.

Before Charlotte could offer the box back, Joe shook his head. “This dress was custom-made to fit your measurements. No one else can wear it. If you don’t want it, it will end up in the trash,” he explained.

“How did you know my measurements?” Charlotte became wary, thinking that Joe had bought the dress as a last-minute gesture, but it turned out he had prepared the gift in advance.

Seeing Charlotte’s nervous reaction, Joe found her adorable.

He coughed lightly and explained, “I had your tailor provide the measurements. It wasn’t difficult to obtain.”

After hesitating for a moment, she decided to accept the dress. After all, as Joe had said, if she didn’t wear it, the dress would end up in the trash.

After carefully putting away the gift box, Charlotte asked, “Is there anything you’d like as a return gift? | can give you something in return.”
