Charlotte wondered if it was her mistake, but she felt that the woman in front of her looked familiar. “Who are you?" the woman asked arrogantly, looking at Charlotte.

It was then that Charlotte recognized her as Jessica, the recent recipient of the Best Actress award. “I'm talking to you," Jessica said, getting increasingly angry as Charlotte continued to ignore her. Since entering the entertainment industry, Jessica had always had an easy time, attracting many fans with her outstanding looks. She had recently signed an endorsement deal with the Smith Group, hoping to get close to Mr.Smith. However, upon entering the office, she saw a beautiful woman sitting on Mr. Smith’s couch.

This woman appeared innocent, like a princess from some group.

“You must be trying to get close to Mr.Smith’s woman, right? | advise you to give up early,"

Jessica said with a suggestive smile, leaning against Joe’s desk.

Charlotte calmly looked at Jessica and asked, “Why?"

Jessica laughed and said, “Do you think Mr.Smith will still be interested in you after having me?"

She then sat in Joe’s chair.

Charlotte smiled and said, “So, you are Mr.Smith’s girlfriend?"

Jessica sneered, “Of course, Mr.Smith is deeply in love with me.I insisted on keeping our relationship private. You wouldn't understand. You should leave now."

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

One of the secretaries from the secretariat hurried in, she had only poured a cup of coffee and didn’t realize that Jessica had disappeared.

The secretary, familiar with the ways of the entertainment industry, knew that Jessica was not one to stay put. She hoped that Jessica hadn't done anything foolish, especially since Mr.

Smith had brought Miss Clinton to the company that day.

“Come in,"

Jessica called out as the secretary opened the door.

To her surprise, she saw Jessica standing behind Mr.

Smith’s desk, while Miss Clinton, the rumored future lady of the company, sat quietly on the couch, observing her.

“Sorry, Miss Clinton.Jessica is here to sign a contract today.She may have come to the wrong place," the secretary quickly apologized to Charlotte.

Although she didn’t know what had happened in the room, she knew that if Miss Clinton misunderstood anything, her job might be at risk.
