Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 230: Cosmic Howler – S

Chapter 230: Cosmic Howler – S

"That fierce monkey," Lein thought to himself.

Next, he noticed that the monkey's tail was quite long, even forming a full loop at its end. In addition, its firm muscles reminded Lein of Sun Goku from the films and games he had played.

"Nice... let's try creating another soul."

Lein then returned to the [construct] feature. He reviewed the list of souls he had obtained so far. Currently, there were two on the list:

1. Spiked Lava Worm – C

2. Voidtail Primate – S

"Good," Lein said with satisfaction, pleased with how easy it would be to choose the soul he needed later.

He quickly inserted the soul fragments into the 10 empty slots and approved the system's confirmation.

[10 soul fragments detected. Do you want to build a soul?]

"Yes," Lein answered without hesitation.

A white light illuminated the crystal ball, linking all the small circles and slowly forming a soul within. The process didn't take long; soon after, the white light turned blood-red, bringing a wide grin to Lein's face.

"Haha, success on the second try!" Lein exclaimed excitedly. Although he had 10,001 S-tier soul fragments, he was still satisfied that he avoided excessive failures.

"I'm curious, what abilities will this creature have?" Lein said, eagerly watching the developments inside the soul construction orb.

Shortly after, the formation was complete, revealing a monkey standing upright inside the crystal. The monkey held a small, irregularly shaped staff and spun it skillfully, demonstrating its prowess.

Current Evaluation

- Soul: Cosmic Howler – S

- Soul Energy: 123,000

- Strength: S

- Defense: S

- Intelligence: S

- Agility: S

- (Eternal Vortex): Forms 10 cosmic energy vortices that pull all nearby enemies to their center, paralyzing them and dealing 500% damage per second for 10 seconds. Each enemy absorbed increases the damage by 1000%. (Cooldown: 90 seconds)

"Whoa! Cosmic vortex with 500% damage!" Lein said in awe, unable to believe how powerful this creature was. But whatever the case, he was thrilled to have gotten two of them.

Lein observed the monkey wielding its staff and the status panel for a few moments before returning to the [construct] feature. He inserted a soul fragment labeled "Void Monkey Tail – S" into each of the 10 synergy slots.

Without hesitation, Lein confirmed the system's prompt.

A bright white light shone again, connecting all the circles. However, the light quickly dimmed within minutes.

[Failed to build soul]

"The first failure," Lein said calmly, unaffected. He had expected failure, so it didn't bother him. In fact, he would've found it strange if the third attempt had succeeded; a system as ruthless as this couldn't possibly grant him too much luck.

"Let's try again."

Lein remained enthusiastic. He repeated the same steps: inserting the fragments, confirming the prompt, and waiting for the soul-building animation to complete.

Watching silently, Lein tried to think about something else to avoid being too anxious about the results. But he couldn't. His mind stayed fixed on the crystal orb, eagerly anticipating the outcome.

[Failed to build soul]

"Again."

Without a second thought, Lein repeated the process, inserting the fragments, confirming, and waiting.

[Failed to build soul]

"Again."

[Failed to build soul]

"Keep going."

Lein ignored the failures without giving them a second thought. He felt slightly annoyed but knew there was nothing he could do about it. Staying focused, he kept building souls tirelessly until, at last, on the 27th attempt, the white light shifted into blood-red.

Lein's sleepy eyes widened in excitement as he stared at the glowing crystal orb with intense interest.

Inside the orb, a monkey stood tall with an athletic and well-proportioned build. Its muscular body was strong yet not excessive, reflecting a perfect balance of strength and agility. A coat of sleek black fur covered its body, exuding elegance and power. Around its neck hung a silver necklace with a small blue pendant, softly radiating light.

Its sharp eyes gazed forward with confidence, daring anyone to challenge it.

The monkey stood in a combat-ready stance, its hands clenched at its sides, ready to attack or defend. From Lein's perspective, it was clear this creature was a formidable melee fighter.

Lein quickly checked the creature's stats through the evaluation panel:

Current Evaluation

- Soul: Celestial Primate – S

- Soul Energy: 150,000

- Strength: S

- Defense: S

- Intelligence: S

- Agility: S

- (Primal Fist): A melee attack that relies on raw power. The Celestial Primate can unleash punches imbued with cosmic energy, shattering enemy defenses and stunning them for 2 seconds with a 90% chance. The attack can also bounce to other enemies within a 5-meter radius, dealing 200% additional damage to the next target. (Cooldown: 100 seconds)

"Hahaha, insane!" Lein shouted in his heart.

He grinned widely as he read the abilities of the creature. "A fighting monkey with stun and chain attacks? This is perfect!" he thought enthusiastically. Not only did it possess incredible strength and agility, but it also had deadly combat effects for close-range battles.

"I can't wait to try out this new power," Lein said eagerly, longing to put it to the test.

He glanced again at the (Celestial Primate – S) inside the crystal ball, admiring its sturdy posture and the aura of majesty it emitted. Soon after, Lein continued building souls. Upon re-entering the [construct] feature, he noticed the updated list, now including the newly formed soul:

1. Spiked Lava Worm – C

2. Voidtail Primate – S

3. Cosmic Howler – S

4. Celestial Primate – S

"I think I'll build an army of monkeys, hahaha," Lein chuckled softly. Without wasting any time, he filled the small circles with soul fragments and resumed the soul-building process.

"Seems like a good idea, hahaha," Lein thought to himself, especially with the help of his duplication skill. Creating a monkey planet would be incredibly easy.

Lein then set aside other matters for the moment, focusing on building souls as quickly as possible since he had limited time. Not because of an enemy attack on the island, but to prepare for potential enemies from beyond the realm of the divine heavens.

He calmly continued constructing souls with steady movements. The white light shone continuously from the soul construction orb, repeating the process hundreds of times without stopping.
