The tavern's receptionist noticed Leo. They bowed at him in unison.
Leo approached the mannequins behind the counter. He opened the facility menu and fiddled with it.
A new screen appeared, revealing the friend list menu. Unfortunately, the number of Leo's friends was zero.
'Is this the friend list system the orc talked about?'
Leo still vaguely remembered the conversation he had with Acku. The latter taught Leo that there was a friend system, which allowed them to locate and travel across the universe to each other's home planet.
Although Leo didn't want to expose his shopping mall to danger, he believed Acku and his orcs might be more trustworthy than werewolves and elves from other worlds. He tried to search for Acku's name by typing it in a search panel.
BZZZ
The search menu was more terrible than Micro****'s search engine. Instead of showing Acku's information or his name, it showed countless names of people with similar names instead.
The names were hilarious. Leo gazed at the name and snickered at first. But after he scrolled through 100 pages of names, he deeply frowned.
There were over 10,000 people whose name was "A".
"What the hell is wrong with these guys' mothers!? Are their brain cells dead?! Can't they give them a more creative name?!"
Leo gave up looking for Acku. He closed the menu and talked to the mannequin.
"Aside from serving free drinks here, is there anything you can do?"
The receptionists looked at each other and shrugged. The girls pointed at the secret stairs behind the counter.
Leo noticed the stairs of this facility. He thanked the girls and explored the staircase.
Although the tavern was on the fourth floor of Leo's shopping mall, the tavern's second floor did not connect to the shopping mall's fifth floor. Instead, it was an independent dimension.
The second floor and other floors of this tavern served as a hotel for visitors. Visiting guests could rent a room to rest there. Also, the tavern offered a monthly rent option. However, the facility required YOL as the standard currency according to the managing cashier mannequin.
A king-size-bed room cost one year of lifespan per day for rent. A month cost less as the cashier set to price to only 10 YOL. An executive room with additional living space cost double. As for a suite with luxurious furniture, wider space, a swimming pool, and a Jacuzzi bathtub had a whopping booking price of 20 YOL per day or 300 YOL per month.
Leo ignored the hotel part and proceeded to the secret stairs. He climbed the stairs and found a new world.
No hotel floor existed in this place.
Leo found himself on a grassland. The blue sky and clouds were the same as the sky in the real world. However, Leo couldn't see any star or the sun here.
It was an artificial sky. Leo could tell as the lighting came from the floating clouds.
He paused for a moment and turned around to look at the stairs. The path to the tavern was still there. Seeing the way home, Leo let out a sigh of relief.
"For a moment there, I thought I no-clip into the backrooms. God damn!"
The grassland was not empty. Similar to the boot camp, it featured two stone altars. Its architectural style resembled the Aztec pyramids.
Leo leaped on one of the pyramids. Then, he noticed that the top of the pyramids hid secret stairways to the interior of the building.
He explored inside. Upon entering the pyramid, Leo found a massive modern suite. Bedrooms, lobbies, bars, kitchens, bathrooms, a swimming pool, and other utilities made this place a dream home for many modern men.
However, at the center of the lobby, there was a magic circle under a large rug. Leo flipped the carpet over and inspected the magic circle.
DING
<You can invite your friend here.>
"Oh, I see."
Leo understood the hint. This magic circle was a tool to summon his friends here. In addition, this pyramid served as a VIP suite to accommodate the guests.
As Leo couldn't use the feature, he stopped exploring and exited the pyramid. He then observed the grassland.
Looking at the wide lushful land gave Leo inspiration. He wondered if he could grow crops or run a real estate business here.
Putting his idea to the test, Leo purchased an RV car and parked it in front of a pyramid. But as soon as Leo put the vehicle there, he received the system's warning.
DING
<Warning! This facility automatically cleans itself and repairs the properties every midnight. All items, plants, crops, non-tavern facilities, and non-guest items will be automatically thrown out to the recycling center.>
"…"
Leo was disappointed. He put the RV car into his storage ring. Then, he exited this place.
.
After coming out of the tavern, Leo let out a long sigh. For the moment, he couldn't summon Acku or introduce him to his store yet.
As Leo couldn't rely on Acku or ask him for advice, he turned his attention to the other system buildings that he hadn't built yet.

"…"
Leo smacked his forehead. He realized that he should have built these buildings and stopped wasting time. After all, the key to completing phase 3's quest was right in front of him all along.
"This should be it. The system never gives me a quest that I cannot complete. Of course, it already provides a method for me to complete it! Man, I'm an idiot."
Leo operated the domain system and built the altar and the fate crystal radar. He chose to place the two key buildings in the newly unlocked area north of the Tang Clan's manor.
Both buildings were situated adjacent to the main eastern road. They faced the west and served as a new landmark of Leo's domain.
The fate crystal radar emerged first. It came out as an Eiffel Tower, but it featured a floating blue crystal on top. In addition, it released a ripple-like transparent wave, which caused a strong gale.
Leo's long silky hair fluttered by the wind. Even his beard threatened to fly away from his face. Fortunately, the hair roots were firm and healthy. Thus, not a string of hair escaped Leo's skin.
Meanwhile, one hundred meters north of the radar, a humongous pyramid altar rose from the ground. Tall and steep stone stairs from the west side were the only path that non-cultivators could climb to the top.
On the top of the altar, a platform with a 500-meter-diameter magic circle occupied the roof. Aside from the magic circle which was carved into the floor, nothing else was noticeable.
Leo upgraded both buildings to the highest level possible. As he didn't feel the need to bring many people to the raid, Leo adjusted the attributes according to his ideal.

"There's no need to bring other people along. It's not like I will invade a karmic sovereign's home planet or anything."
The two new buildings slightly changed. The Fate Crystal Radar pointed toward the void and pinged its transparent ripple while five new mannequins appeared from nothingness.
The new wooden mannequins came out as usual. However, these guys could use sound transmission techniques like the ones in the boot camp.
One of them greeted Leo and reported for duty.
"Master. We have activated the radar. We're expecting results within 24 hours!"
Leo nodded at them. "Take your time. Work hard, okay?"
"Yes, master!"
The radar mannequins bowed. Then, they turned around and entered the tower's elevator to get to their new office.
Leo didn't stop them. He shifted his attention to the altar instead. He rubbed his hands in excitement.
"Hehehe. What kind of players can I invade? Do I have to destroy everything to complete the quest? Can I loot or plunder some goodies from there? Oh, boy. I feel like a pirate."
He got to the platform and attempted to operate it. He wasn't disappointed this time.
DING
<Please choose the targeted planet or input the coordinate.>
<Please note. The distance limit is 13 million light years.>
Leo pursed his lips as the distance was quite short.
"What was the distance from Earth to Andromeda Galaxy again? Somewhere between two to three million light years? Maybe? Then, I can only find players within the same galaxy or neighbor galaxies, right?"
While speaking his mind, Leo read the list of other players' home planets.
Unfortunately, there were only two on the menu. Leo narrowed his eyes and frowned as he had heard about them before.

"Where have I heard these names? I have a feeling that I knew them from somewhere. Déjà vu?"
