Chapter 298 – Florida Man Arrested in Court Following Incident Where His Alligators Ate the Judge

"Gator Gyatt?"

"Gator Gyatt."

"GATOR GYATT!"

The lizardmen developed their local language and civilization. Although their vocabulary was limited, everybody understood each other by observing the speaker's gestures and annotations.

Immortal lizardmen gathered and socialized. Unlike selfish cultivators in the universe, none of them competed for resources or took advantage of the others.

Lizardmen worked as one. Strong immortals selflessly imparted their knowledge to youngsters while regular immortals brainstormed and researched the way of daos together.

Because of their unity, most lizardmen and immortals had the same set of skills. There were also cons: Their culture made them lack imagination and diversity. Thus, their cultivation progress got stuck in the deity realm.

Leo's consciousness arrived at a lizardmen-infested planet where lizard deities established cultivation schools. He revealed his appearance as a human with four rainbow phoenix wings.

That was Leo's serious form. He also nicknamed it as the 'Second Phase'.

When Leo showed up in front of the lizardmen, the locals gazed at Leo in shock and astonishment, yet nobody attempted to challenge or provoke Leo due to their peaceful nature.

"Guys! I'm looking for volunteers! No, I'm taking in disciples! Those who are willing to come under my wings will receive my guidance!"

The gators were taken aback at first. Fortunately, they understood Leo's words perfectly. Some of the deities jumped for joy.

"GYATT!" (I volunteer!)

"GYATT!" (TAKE ME, SIR!)

Instantly, 50 deities volunteered. Leo was glad that they were cooperative.

"Good. But first, I need to test something…"

Leo proceeded with his plan. He drew four souls of the volunteers and attempted to bring them to the real world.

.

.

Leo opened his eyes. It took him less than a second to visit the lizardmen and bring them out. However, as the souls lacked a host, they could not manifest in reality.

Without hesitation, Leo injected their souls into the gold chains.

The new souls were surprised at first. However, the gold chains contained several strong daos, which none of them had learned before.

The new knowledge excited the lizardmen. They absorbed the new daos like a sponge and figured out how the chains worked. Five seconds later, they mastered how they could manipulate and control the chains.

Leo was relieved. He whispered to the four souls.

"This is your first test. Show your power against those birbs."

"GATOR GYATT!" The four souls in the chains shouted in unison and dispersed, charging toward the surrounding angels.

The angels also retaliated, sending their golden chains to block the sentient artifacts.

A hundred gold chains outnumbered the four gators. 20 of them latched onto the four newbies while 20 angels injected their Qi into their weapons.

Leo saw that. He brought out 100 random rocks that he got from the asteroid belt. Flickering them with his fingers, the rocks were shot like bullets.

PU

PU

Exploiting the bullet time sense, Leo turned simple rocks into entity-killing bullets, shattering the heads of the angels one after another until the last man. Their souls escaped from the destroyed flesh and screamed in pain.

"W-What!?"

The judge couldn't believe his eyes. His people were known to be the strongest karmic sovereign killers, yet everybody lost instantly.

Leo ignored the judge's reaction. As the angels lost their bodies, the gold chains became ownerless. Leo hummed and collected everything. Then, he repeated what he had done to the four gold chains earlier.

More gators from Leo's dantian universe were summoned and injected into the weapons. The new artifacts became alive and wiggled in joy.

However, the gators weren't satisfied with just the new bodies. They turned their attention to the escaped souls of angels.

"GYATT!!"

In just one word, all 104 chains chased after the escaped souls. They captured everyone.

"NOOOO!!"

Returning the favor, the chains absorbed the life force and Qi of the angels and transferred them into the gators. The lizardman deities devoured everything and improved their cultivation base.

The deities quickly adapted to the real world's cultivation method. They started condensing stars in their dantians, creating a lower dimension one their own.

As the gators grew stronger, the chains emitted stronger lights.

Leo was happy with this experiment. He let the guys celebrate while he approached the judge. With a wiggle of his hand, he pulled the square angel to his palm and choked his neck.

After the angel was in his hand, Leo started questioning him.

"Let's restart our conversation. How about something basic to break the ice? Who are you?"

The angel growled in anger, "LET ME GO, YOU TRASH! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I AM THE JUDGE OF HEAVENLY FATE STADIUM!"

"Good start. How about your name?" Leo shrugged and strengthened his grip. The choke squeezed the angel's neck so hard that his square eyes were almost ejected from the eye sockets.

"L-Let go…"

The light warning worked like magic. The judge lowered his voice in fear.

Leo asked him again, "Don't test my patient. What's your name?"

"I-I'm Brack of Jade, the Sentinel of Heavenly Fate Stadium…"

"That's better. What is the nature of your job?"

"A-As I tell you. I'm the sentinel of the stadium. M-My job is irrelevant to you-"

Leo inserted his other hand into the angel's fleshly body. He grabbed a string of karma, "Strike two. One more time, I'll erase your entity forever."

The angel broke a cold sweat. He looked around and found 104 living golden chains circling around him.

Seeing no way out, he trembled.

"P-Please don't kill me."

"As long as you cooperate."

"Y-Yes. Yes. I'll cooperate." The previous arrogant attitude disappeared like the wind. Brack confessed, "I'm working for a transcendent cultivator by the alias Sieg."

"Okay? Who is this 'Sieg'?"

"H-He's the owner of the Fate Stadium. He…"

Brack suddenly flinched and paused for a long time. His entire body bloated and expanded as if he were hit by Kenshiro's punches. Two seconds later, his body and soul exploded, scattering blood and flesh everywhere.

Leo raised his eyebrows and looked at the exploded angel in confusion. Although his bodily cells could mutate and kill living beings, most of the entities were immune to his power. Brack, too, should have been able to resist his ability. Despite the potential immunity, he still died from mutation.

'Was it because of me? Nah, my radiation can't destroy souls. I need to check…'

Doubting Brack's cause of death, Leo picked up a piece of flesh from the pile. He licked it.

There was no taste of radiation or his cancer cells. Instead, it smelled like rotten chicken.

'Yeah. That was not me.'

Confirming that he was not responsible for Brack's death, Leo recollected the information. First, there was someone behind Brack. Secondly, he was a transcended being, whose cultivation base surpassed the karmic sovereign stage. Also, he had the power to destroy the soul of an entity like Brack.

And lastly and theoretically, the mysterious guy by the name 'Sieg' might be the owner of the Fate Stadium.

Leo opened his system menu and checked it. The screens showed up and worked as usual.

As the systems functioned once again, Leo stopped worrying about it. He closed the screens and examined his surroundings.

The clouds in the void were as bright as usual. However, no beings remained here but Leo.

Leo took this opportunity to inspect the seat of Brack and his furniture behind the court stand. Upon reaching his chair, he found a cardboard box of jade slips.

Jade slips usually contained messages and thoughts of cultivators who left behind their thoughts. However, this was the first time that Leo encountered one.

Curious, Leo picked one up to inspect it. He flipped it around confusedly like a monkey at first. Fortunately, he was smart enough to inject his Qi to inspect it.

The jade slip glowed and ejected the hidden voice of the previous owner. Ironically, the ex-owner was Brack.

[Lord Sieg, I've collected two heavenly fate crystals from Player Xia Wu. His soul has been erased as instructed, sir.]

Leo smirked. This was enough proof that Sieg was the mastermind behind the collection of fate crystals. He remembered the name, marking Sieg as his next hit list.

'A transcended being… This might be troublesome. In the past, I've been fighting karmic sovereigns and entities. My true strength should be around the transcendent stage as well. If I meet that guy, I might be at a disadvantage. I never fought a transcendent before…'

For the first time, Leo was intimidated. He wished he had a higher cultivation base than Seig.

But then, Leo remembered that his system allowed him to upgrade his cultivation limit or cultivation aptitude. He only needed one karmic fate crystal to do so.

Figuring a method to gain an advantage, Leo was determined. His next major project would be treasure hunting.

Not wasting time, Leo opened the PVP menu. The screen showed up. Unlike before, the functions were restored, and Leo could join the arena again.

Leo smirked and mocked Sieg.

"Your systems aren't that omnipotent, it seems. If you were a proper programmer, this system would have restricted my access. Now that the system allows me to rejoin the stadium, you've lost your initiative!"

Leo collected all the golden chains into his storage ring. He boldly pressed a button, challenging the monthly PVP match.

.

.

WHOOSH

Leo immediately reappeared in the arena as usual. He stood alone in the stadium this time.

"Huh?"

"What?"

When Leo appeared, the crowd looked confused. They muttered and whispered.

"I saw the news. Isn't Florida Man a wanted man?"

"You saw that, too? The news is spreading fast. I thought the player hunter squadron had been deployed already. How is he still here?"

"Maybe, he wants to submit himself to the authority?"

"Probably. I think we might see a Death Chess Match here today."

Leo silently eavesdropped their conversation. He also recalled the distasteful chess game that he once saw in one of the Fate Stadium's facilities.

WHOOSH

While Leo was waiting, a hundred entities teleported to the arena. They were also angels with square physiques.
