Chapter 351

Chapter 351: Exasperated

Everyone was trying to think about the truth behind Zhao Zhongxian’s proposal, but there wasn’t much time. Before they even piece together the chain of events, Xiang Ning’s next move had already confirmed Zhao Zhongxian’s proposed statement.

“Look at what he’s doing.”

“Again?”

“His sword!”

“It's that scene all over again!”

Xiang Ning placed the metal box in front of him and took out the Devourer. Almost everyone recognized his weapon. The Savage Sand Rats all stopped just ten meters away from him; none of them dared to take even one step as they quieted down.

The camera panned away and everyone was disgruntled. Why’d he pan the camera away just when it was getting to the good part?

But in the next second, they understood.

“Shit! What’s that? Is it a new type of beast?”

“It’s gripping the neck of the final reserve martial artist of the third route!” The initial happy mood had completely changed and a sense of despair and sadness had spread through the chat room.

They had barely even managed to type out a comment when a shadow appeared beside the wolf mutant. A slash, a hit, and a kick were all it took for Xiang Ning to rescue the final survivor from the fearsome mutant. Everything happened in just two seconds after the journalist panned the camera away.

“Heck yeah! He saved him! The survivor was rescued!”

“Our teacher Xiang Ning is invincible!”

“Teacher Xiang Ning is the best in the world!”

“He’s a God!”

Everyone had thought that the surviving commander would die horribly and become another number on the statistics, but Xiang Ning arrived just in time, like a hero in a fairy tale and saved the commander with blinding speed.

“Holy shit! Everyone! I can’t find the word to describe what I just witnessed! Xiang Ning has returned! The legendary boy has returned!” Zhao Zhongxian was too ecstatic.

The excitement was escalating in the chat as the fight went on.

“Hahahaha! To think that he dares to say that he’s got them surrounded!”“Our teacher Xiang Ning is that strong!”

“That’s so arrogant but I love it!”

“Freaking hell!”

Their worship of Xiang Ning had risen to a new level. But some of the more rational viewers saw that the situation wasn’t good. A single mistake was all it would take for them to be wiped out. But since Xiang Ning was there, he should have his own plan. He must have brought the reinforcements, right? They would just need to stall for time and maybe the reinforcements from the other routes would arrive, right?

But….

“Wait, is he not trying to stall for time?!”

“Yeah! He’s trying to fight against five of them! Kill them all and avenge those who had fallen!”

“Wait, wait, your reinforcements haven’t arrived! Hang in there!”

“Holy shit he just killed one of them!”

“Hey don’t get too excited! He must be trying to stall for time. They aren’t beasts, they’re the Seven Deadly Sins!”

“Shit that was so close! He almost killed another!”

“Look at the others! They’re being toyed with!”

Some of the more rational viewers were exasperated as they witnessed the fight. They were both watching the intense fight and scolding the idiots in the livestream.

As for Xiang Ning, his Devourer had recovered part of its blade after killing one of the mutants. He smiled as he saw it getting back its edge. But there was no time. There were many Savage Sand Rats that he still had to take care of. If it weren’t for that, he would have taken his time with the mutants and taught them despair.

Enormous strength swelled from him as he unleashed his infamous Mountain-Splitting Slash augmented with Oscillation and Telekinesis on a rhinoceros mutant. Truth be told the mutants were extremely tenacious. Their vitality was extremely overwhelming when they went berserk. While Xiang Ning was able to utilize the openings from their attacks, it still wasn’t easy for him.

The mutant clenched its muscles and Xiang Ning was unable to draw his sword out from its body. All it had taken was two seconds for him to be placed in a dangerous situation.

“Not good! Xiang Ning is in danger!”

“Haha! Your blood will be delicious!”

Xiang Ning activated his Heaven’s Key armor but a bull mutant swatted him away halfway through the armor’s materialization.

“ARGH!” Xiang Ning flew through the air as blood splattered everywhere.

“That felt refreshing!” Xiang Ning immediately stood up. He saw the rhinoceros mutant was still holding on to the Devourer. “Heh. Do you like it that much?” The two-meter-tall mutant suddenly collapsed as the Devourer stabbed itself through his body. It had completely recovered its blade, but there were still cracks on it.

“Don’t let him pick up the sword!”

“That’s a bioweapon!”

“Too late!”

The Devourer was in an extreme state of hunger. It had used all the nutrients it’d just gained to recover its blade, but its core was still hungry. It was time for it to go crazy.

That was the first time everyone saw the true nature of a bioweapon. A gray liquid seeped out of the blade and formed a dragon head. It was sticky, yet strong, as if it was made of muscle. It opened its mouth and swallowed one of the mutants closest to it.

The current Devourer was forged with the core of a Kaiser Aurumsaur, and it had already consumed the core of the Octoviolet Silversnake, a Grim Claw, and a Simian Sage. It was a terrifying existence! If it was a beast, it would easily have become a Beast King after consuming the cores and bodies of all those beasts. Swallowing a tier five mutant was as easy as taking candy from a baby.

However, the exposed core of a bioweapon was its glaring weak point. If another beast were to come and bite it, the entire weapon would be reduced to nothing. That was why it needed something to protect it, like a blade.

“What is that?”

“Why did something so terrifying come out from Xiang Ning’s weapon?”

“That’s a bioweapon. There’s no more than a hundred of them throughout the entire world as they’re almost impossible to forge!”

Many of the viewers took notes and decided to read more after the livestream ended.
