Chapter 870: Onto the Stage
She’s here! Chris looked at the silver McLaren parked at the back and curled his lips. The main character is finally here.
Richard glared at Chris angrily. “Who are you calling a kid?”
“Who? The person I called!” Chris looked away and darted a look at Richard. His eyes turned to another member behind Richard. “Where’s your captain?”
“Aaron will be here today,” the person answered. “It doesn’t matter who you send this time!”
Chris smiled slightly. “That might not be the case. We have our trump card today.”
Richard and his team members looked at the confident Chris with suspicion in their eyes. Aaron was a legend in the racing world. Even though he was half-retired, everyone knew that as long as he came out, there was nothing he could not win back.
Looking at the other Golden Lions, all of them had confident smiles on their faces. So confident?!
The members of the Geriba team exchanged looks. Did the Golden Lions forget to take their medicine today?!
Just at this time, the surroundings suddenly quieted down. The sound of the car engine filled the air above the track. A black McLaren drove over!
“Aaron is here!” Someone shouted.
Everyone’s eyes fell onto the black McLaren. This car, this plate number, was a symbol. It had created countless glory with its owner. Even after it retired, no one forgot about it.
It was like an Emperor descending upon the mortal world, enjoying the respect and envy of everyone.
Richard suddenly looked at Chris and sneered. “Let’s see how long you can be happy for!” As he spoke, he walked directly to the black McLaren.
Gerry looked at Richard’s back and sneered. “What are you so proud of? Aaron is awesome, but our boss is not bad either. They will never guess who our opponent is!”
“Alright, you don’t have to say that for now. We promised Boss to keep it a secret,” Chris looked at Gerry and said in a low voice.
Gerry nodded. “I understand.”
The members of the Geriba team stood by the window of the black McLaren. No one knew what they were talking about, and the people in the car did not show their faces.
Chris and the others walked to the silver McLaren.
“Boss, are you confident?” Chris smiled at Xia Ning.
Xia Ning was wearing the latest protective suit and a helmet. She looked at Chris and said with a smile, “Have you ever seen me without confidence?”
“Sure. Show them the power of a lion,” Chris nodded at Xia Ning.
Xia Ning darted a look at him. “There might not be a second-half today. If you have something on, you can leave first.”
Gerry heard this and said with a smile, “As expected of Boss. Okay, let’s wait for Boss to return with victory!”
Chris looked at Xia Ning with surprise. This was two out of three rounds. Without the second half, it was definitely not the one-round victory that Gerry thought. Did she mean the second-half would not be able to take place?!
Just as he was about to speak, Xia Ning rolled up the car window and drove onto the racetrack.
