Volume 3, Chapter 13: Laughing Clown?

?Aha, I’m just a little surprised since it’s been a really long time since someone managed to exterminate Portal Scissor. Should I fight more seriously now??

Le Look spoke as she skillfully twirled the crimson cane in her hand.

Four magic circles appeared around le Look.

?Heed my call and come to this world! Malice’s Silhouette—Malice Doll! Abominable Constraint—Lock Clock! Prideful Scale—Demon Judge! Red Eyes—Dread Ball!?

Four spirits materialized from the four magic circles.

The four figures that appeared were a female doll with unkempt hair, crying black tears from her eyes; a watch with eyes on its rim at regular intervals; a golden scale with a demon head ornament in its center; and a striped ball with an opening in its midsection and an eye peeking out from within.

?Doll, watch, scale, and ball… Hyaah, it’s been a really long time since the last time I used this pattern! Even though you’d have had a swift and easy death if you were killed by Portal Scissor. You will regret making me go all out.?

Le Look glared at Lambert as she readied herself, twirling her cane as she spoke.

Malice Doll, Lock Clock, and Demon Judge started to surround Lambert.

?Four spirits, huh. I’ve fought materialized spirit before, but… just like their appearance, the sorcery they use—unique traits—make the fight even tougher. In short, they are extremely troublesome spirits.?

Lambert looked at the four spirits.

Lock Clock and Demon Judge kept repeating the act of moving closer then moving away from Lambert as they surrounded him.

The smallest and fastest amongst the four, Malice Doll, moved around randomly while laughing creepily.

Dread Ball flew randomly along Malice Doll.

The spirits had dominated the space in the room.

Malice Doll’s eerie laugh resounded inside the room.

The demon head ornament of Demon Judge laughed along with Malice Doll.

?JuDgiNG YoUR VAlUE. FroM HErE On, THiS SpaCE IS UnDEr My RuLE.?

Demon Judge spoke as it laughed.

?N-NO, G… GET AWAY FROM ME! AHHH!?

The Dread Ball flickered and then appeared above the head of the screaming soldier before swallowing his head.

When the midsection opened again, the eye was still in there, but the head of the soldier was gone without a trace.

The dead, headless body of the soldier crumbled to the ground.

?N-Nebitt?! W-What the hell are those monsters?!?

?Le Look-sama, please stop those monsters!?

?H-HIIIIII! G-GET AWAY! I-I I DON’T WANT TO DIE YETTTTTTTT!?

Inside the room that was overflowing with monsters, Viscount Le Gael’s soldiers screamed in terror.

Le Look sprung up as Dread Ball flew closer to her, landing on its body with one leg.

Dread Ball hung in midair as Le Look was riding on it.

?Dear audience, this is my performance—Le Look Le Look of the ?Laughing Clown?, one of the Eight Wisemen! Be aware that I cannot guarantee your safety during the performance!?

Le Look declared this as she spread her arms.

At that moment, Malice Doll, Lock Clock, and Demon Judge closed in toward Lambert at once.

Malice Doll laughing creepily, and Demon Judge said ?Dieeeeeeeeeeeeeee!? to Lambert.

?KYAHAHAHAHAHAHA! BEHOLD MY FEARSOME SPIRITS! CAN YOU SURVIVE THE SITUATION WHICH RENDERS YOUR PRIZED BRUTE FORCE USELESS?!?

Lambert turned around as he slashed with his greatsword, drawing a giant circle which sliced off the arms that were approaching.

He beheaded the doll’s head and decapitated the Lock Clock’s body in just a single swing.

The blade that was swung had also sliced the demon head of Demon Judge as it entered Lambert’s range.

And lastly, the greatsword smashed Demon Judge’s body into the floor.

The three spirits turned into countless particles of light by the end of Lambert’s attack.

?E-EH?! W-What happened?!?

Le Look kicked Dread Ball, jumped back as if trying to get away from Lambert.

Dread Ball followed along, moving beneath Le Look.

Le Look’s feet landed on Dread Ball again, only to kick the latter again and jump back even further.

She quickly landed on Dread Ball as she got closer toward the wall.

?Y-You must be kidding me, for me to be pushed this far…?

Le Look unintentionally cursed loudly.

She stooped forward, breathing heavily.

‘Just now… I would have surely been cut in half had I withdrawn a second later…’

Le Look could only feel relief for a moment.

That relieved feeling created a gap in Le Look’s train of thought.

And Lambert closed in toward Le Look right at that moment.

?Eh… K-KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!?

Le Look raised a shrill cry as she retreated in a hurry.

Her feet kicked the Dread Ball, becoming her scaffolding.

Between Le Look and Lambert, Dread Ball became the target for Lambert’s greatsword.

Le Look looked up at Lambert’s greatsword as she stooped down.

?H-He—?

?HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!?

Having sliced the Dread Ball, Lambert’s greatsword was now falling toward Le Look.

?HIIIII!?

Le Look bent her body even further to dodge Lambert’s slash.

The descending blade grazed Le Look’s head.

That alone was enough to smash Le Look’s face right into the floor, shattering the mask that was covering her face.

But then, that wasn’t all. The residual force made her body bounce back, falling again on the floor.

Lambert didn’t miss such an opening, stabbing with his greatsword into her body.

Fresh blood sprayed like a shower the moment his greatsword penetrated her.

?GA HA… Are you… kidding me…? Just who… in the hell… are… you?!?

Le Look muttered this with a feeble voice as she touched the sword’s blade that penetrated her body.

And just like that, the wall behind Le Look crumbled down as Lambert put his weight into the stab.

When Lambert pulled out his greatsword from Le Look’s body, Le Look began to fall while raising a death wail.
