Volume 3, Chapter 32: Gentleman of Death, Tony Lair?
?THAT’S RIGHT! BY THE HAND OF BIG BROTHER WHO CALLED HIMSELF GOD’S RIGHT HAND, AND ME—THE GOD’S LEFT-HAND—WE LET THOSE CHILDREN LIVE IN THIS SHAPE! NOW, IT’S TIME TO COMMENCE THE FIELD TEST! HUNDRED-EYED BALDIE, USE YOUR MIGHTY STRENGTH TO ELIMINATE THOSE INTRUDERS!?
Milize pointed toward the members of ?Phoenix’s Eyes?.
The eerie monster with numerous human limbs and faces on the surface of its body, the hundred-eyed baldie, then moved slowly toward the party.
?Stop.??Scary.?
?It hurts.??Scary.??Don’t kill me.?
The faces of numerous children on the hundred-eyed baldie were wailing in pain.
Kreuz, who stood at the front of the formation, could only be dumbfounded upon seeing that bizarre scene.
His subordinates also stopped in their tracks upon hearing the hundred-eyed baldie’s wail.
?Hahaha, they were extremely sensitive. Now, can you kill these children? What’s the difference between us and you if you kill them? Die while blaming your sense of justice.?
The big brother, Regev, spoke with a plain tone.
Hearing that voice, Kreuz kicked the floor, putting more power in the hand that was gripping his rapier.
?Now is not the time to worry about such things!?
Kreuz stabbed the hundred-eyed baldie with his rapier.
The meat of the hundred-eyed baldie spilled on the floor beneath its feet, and Kreuz extracted his weapon.
?Forgive me for doing this. But I’ll make sure to kill those b*stards for you!?
Kreuz unleashed his second strike.
At that moment, the faces on the hundred-eyed baldie twisted into agony as they raised an even louder scream.
Their voices resounded as if it was a chorus from Hell.
It was only natural for Kreuz to drop the rapier before such a gruesome spectacle.
?Whoops, I forgot to add that their sense of pain is shared amongst them. This is only possible since my little brother is always doing his best. And as you can see, they turned into splendid musical instruments. So, no matter where you attack them, all of them will feel pain equal to their eyes being gouged out.?
Regev explained with his plain voice, and Milize opened his mouth with a wide grin on his face.
?Nevertheless, the kingdom soldiers sure are cruel fellas for being able to hurt and torture innocent children.?
?I-I…?
?An openi~ng.?
Giant arms made from numerous human bodies swung down toward Kreuz.
That attack shook the entire room.
?How’s that? They might be slow, but they’re powerful, right? A single strike from the hundred-eyed baldie rivals that of an ogre. No matter how many human gathe—?
The faces of the hundred-eyed baldie distorted in pain again.
That was because Lambert intercepted the blow and protected Kreuz with his back.
?…W-why isn’t your armor damaged after receiving that blow? No, how can you stand after receiving that crushing blow? No way, is that… Organ??
?What are you scared about, Big Brother? It’s just a slightly troublesome opponent; definitely not a big deal! Everything will be solved if we release the second… no, third form of the hundred-eyed baldie! Mwahaha, I never expected that we’d meet a slightly more skillful swordsman amongst those small fries! He’ll become the target for the next stage of our experiment!?
The moment Milize said so, the hundred-eyed baldie’s hands trembled.
?BEHOLD! THE HUNDRED-EYED BALDIE’S TRUE FORM!?
Lambert leapt toward the hundred-eyed baldie, landed on top of it, and swung his greatsword toward the “scaffolding” beneath his feet.
Pieces of meat and blood sprayed from the gouged part, a few children’s heads were decapitated from the main body as it fell to the ground.
He repeated his attack twice and then thrice.
?Y-Y-YOU B*STARD! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING! HOW DARE YOU CUT DOWN OUR GREATEST MASTERPIECE! HOW DARE YOU HURT THOSE CHILDREN, YOU HEARTLESS MONSTER! SO THIS IS HOW YOU KINGDOM SOLDIERS OPERATE, EH! YOU MURDERER!?
Milize pointed his finger toward Lambert, blaming the latter for his deed.
The hundred-eyed baldie raised its arms and swung them down toward Lambert.
But the arms suddenly fell to the ground. With his greatsword, Lambert had severed both before they reached him.
Lambert jumped lightly, spun his body in midair, and used the centrifugal force of his spin as he unleashed a downward slash.
The body of the hundred-eyed baldie smashed to the ground. All of the eyes in its body looked up, and its head hung down as if its neck were broken.
?…He isn’t showing a shred of hesitation and just went for the kill.?
?I SEE NOW! YOU COLD-BLOODED MURDERER! YOU MADMAN! PLAYTIME IS OVER! WE BROTHERS WILL STOP THE EXPERIMENT AND USE OUR COMBINED SORCERY TO ERASE A MONSTER LIKE YOU!?
The Halmain siblings surrounded Lambert, who kicked the hundred-eyed baldie and landed on the floor.
?Heed our call.??And come to this world.?
??Despicable Humble Meat Bag: Bolm.??
Both of them were making weird poses as they recited some sort of aria.
And then, a lump of bright red meat that looked like an animal with its body turned inside-out appeared in front of Regev.
It had bumps that covered its ugly-looking mouth and eyes.
?Now then, let’s bring down the hammer of justice on this man who knows nothing about the pain of hu—?
Regev’s voice faltered when his line of sight met with that of Lambert, and his body started to tremble nonstop for some reason.
?What’s matter, Brother! Let’s tell Bolm to da—!?
?OOOOOOOOOH!?
Regev staggered a few steps back.
Lambert’s miasma, which he normally suppressed, was leaking out along with the change in his emotions.
Directly exposed to Lambert’s miasma that was filled with the latter’s indignation, Regev stepped back since he instinctively understood Lambert’s identity.
Regev fell to his knees, hands on the floor as sweat dripped down from every pore in his body.
Even Bolm fell to the floor, moving with extremely eerie movements.
?Who the hell… are you??
It wasn’t even a fight anymore. It was as if they were sinners standing in front of the reaper.
Lambert’s greatsword mercilessly struck at Regev, who was posed as if he were offering his neck to Lambert.
?Fifty-four, that’s the number of children you used to create weapons. Although your two lowly sorcerer heads won’t be enough to compensate for one of those children, you’ll die nonetheless.?
?B-big Bro!?
Lambert’s slash had sliced Milize right in his chest.
Blood sprayed from Milize’s severed body as it fell to the ground.
And then, the spirit from Hell that chirped happily upon seeing its summoner death—meaning that it would return to Hell—suddenly exploded into a piece of meat as Lambert struck it down with the flat side of his greatsword.
The eerie lump of meat raised a short, indescribable scream before it vanished, leaving only a puddle of blood.
?…My apologies. I couldn’t kill all of you in a single strike. I’ll make sure to perform a proper funeral service to you later.?
Lambert walked until he arrived beside the hundred-eyed baldies and bowed to them.
And then, he looked at the members of ?Phoenix’s Eyes?, who were still trembling nonstop upon experiencing Lambert’s miasma and the merciless execution that followed after.
?Hurry up. We have to kill all the remaining sorcerers till no one is left.?
