Chapter 328: Let me lend you a helping hand

The men immediately retreated when she showed the card to them. They were in no position to stop her as the woman's identity was much more than they imagined.

That legendary card… it gave her the access to anywhere she wanted to go in the States. They have heard of it before but they never knew it existed for real until they saw the golden code.

"Mo Yuhan, are you sure you are doing this?" Tang Li crossed her arms in front of her chest as she looked at the man who was fiddling with the wine glass on the table. 

What the hell!

He did not even raise his head to acknowledge her.

Before Tang Li could poke the man any further, two soft gasps were heard. She turned around to look at the man and woman who were looking at her in astonishment.

Ye Lan could not believe that the woman was so beautiful. Earlier when she bumped into Tang Li, she did not properly evaluate her features before Mo Yuhan came and she was distracted. Just when she caught a few glimpses of her face, she was suddenly covered behind Mo Yuhan.

But she remembered the woman was in a mess with a red face and her sweaty bangs sticking to her forehead, she was not that decent to look at. 

But right now, Tang Li looked like a fairy that descended from the heavens. Those unruly tresses of hair were no longer covering her exquisite features. One could see that there was no makeup on her face but she was gorgeous than every woman present over there. 

A pair of cold hazel eyes, tempting ruby lips, snow-white cheeks, a swan-like neck…the woman was the epitome of beauty.

Ye Lan clenched her fists. She did not know why but she suddenly felt insecure. Even if Mo Yuhan did not know this woman and she was just clinging to her, how many men can truly resist a temptation?

No… She wouldn't let that happen. It has been so many years that she loved Mo Yuhan, she couldn't let him slip from her grasp. 

Ye Lan coldly glared at the burly men that were previously blocking Tang Li's path, "How can you let her come here? You were supposed to stop her."

"Miss Ye, she.." Both the men wanted to explain themselves but Ethan stood up from his seat as he looked at them, "You can go. Make sure to guard this place well. No one should enter her here except for this lady's people," His eyes never once leaving the stunning beauty standing in front of him.

The corner of the hall where they were was exclusively booked and was not open for outsiders. Both the men quickly retreated letting out a sigh of relief. Their captain was an understanding man.

Ye Lan glared at Ethan, "How can you let her be here?" 

"It's my call, not yours," His voice was dangerously low as he spoke to Ye Lan. Did this woman think she can talk like that to him?

Ye Lan immediately shut her mouth. No matter who her brother was or what her position was, this Ethan Allen was a grumpy man and she did not want to provoke him.

"Hello, pretty lady," Ethan glanced at Tang Li as if he has known her for ages.

Tang Li's averted her gaze from Mo Yuhan before looking at the man who was looking at her with those beautiful almond-shaped eyes. Who said women cause the downfall of countries? She begged to differ.

The man in front of her had the looks of an evildoer.

But Tang Li was immune to handsome men after having men like her husband, father, and brother around her.

"Do we know each other?" She asked the man in an aloof voice. 

Ethan's lips twitched. 

How was he supposed to answer her?

Hi, I saw you at the restaurant some time ago and was enchanted by your beauty?

Hello, my sister's dog died after eating your dessert. I had a deep impression of you.

My stubborn sister was tongue-tied in front of you and you even sanitized your hand after touching her. I was awestruck!

"Pretty lady, I happen to know you. You don't know me," Not wanting to appear like a weirdo, the man spoke like this.

Tang Li pinched her brows.

The man she knew refused to know her.

Now, a stranger popped out of nowhere proclaiming that he happened to know her. 

What a strange day!

Tang Li turned around to look at Mo Yuhan. Although he did not turn around to look at her, she could sense the gloom around him.

Was he… jealous?

Ethan also followed her gaze. He was reminded of something. Is it the same lady who was clinging to Mo Yuhan outside? Because of darkness, he was not able to see her face earlier.josei

He glared at Mo Yuhan's back. This bastard got a stroke of luck…such a goddess was clinging to her. Why is he behaving like a jerk?

Then again, he has always been stone-hearted.

Looking at Tang Li's distressed face, he couldn't bear it. In his opinion, beautiful women are meant to be cherished.

'Miss Sanitizer, let me lend you a helping hand,' he thought to himself before e=walking back to his seat.

"Let's talk about our cooperation," He said getting Mo Yuhan's attention.

Mo Yuhan eyed the man dangerously. Suddenly, Ethan's handsome face appeared ugly in front of him.

How dare he flirt with his wife?

'My my…Is it jealousy?' Ethan thought to himself. He has been observing Mo Yuhan's expression, displeasure was written all over his face, "Since we are already here, I'm lending them my manpower. But I suddenly feel like not doing it anymore. Let's go for poker. If you win, I'll be cooperative till the end. If I win, our deal ends here."

No matter what, there was no loss in trying it. At least he won't have to deal with those old geezers if he managed to win. On the other hand, he could help Miss Sanitizer; she managed to discipline his unruly sister after all.
