Chapter 1083 - Great Battle Part 2

Chapter 1083 - Great Battle Part 2

William's opponent raised his blade on top of his head and waited for William to make the first move while saying. "Then, I would like to see whether your blade can reach me."

William smiled and looked around before waving both swords vertically. "This won't take too long."

His opponent was confused by his action because that swing didn't generate anything.

Yet, William kept doing a few swings before sending something indescribable to his opponent.

"!!!" It struck deep inside his heart…The feeling of death. In an instant, his opponent realized that William had been making his attack. "I need to stop his swinging!"

He quickly jumped toward William and swung both swords to stop whatever William was doing. However, he soon felt something on his hand as if it was hit by an invisible force, pushing it back a little bit to mess up his movement.

William then disappeared as two strikes had been delivered, albeit the enemy seemed to be one of the strongest Rank 2 Gods among Array God's retainers.

Even so, William still managed to leave a graze on his enemy's arm.

Although it was shallow, it already showed their disparity.

"This is good! To think I would have the chance to meet someone like you!" He laughed and looked at William who kept swinging his blade, turning the force to an even deadlier one.

Suddenly, his attack pattern changed as he began charging at William without care. His swords released powerful winds that could rip someone apart.

"After fighting you, I have realized that you don't rely on your element. No, should I say that you have completely abandoned your own element?"

"I don't need an element. I reach my current power with my swords alone. You may believe that my own swords are my elements. That's all there to it."

"Haha. You are amusing." He smirked. "I am Regen, Sun Gong's strongest retainers. I shall applaud you to take my arm at the beginning and create this many wounds on my body. However, I am the strongest when I am fighting alone! Hence, be proud when you die in my hand."

"…" William furrowed his eyebrows and took him head-on. "Spirit God's Central Guardian, William."

His opponent continuously threw strikes after strikes, but William blocked every single of them. In fact, he even injured him every now and then until his opponent was covered with blood, and yet, the latter couldn't care less of his body.

Despite the numerous wounds, he followed wherever William went until one point.

Clang.

The clash that made William surprised occurred.

"Ah! This is it. I have disturbed your rhythm. Now it's time for me to attack you!" He smirked and slashed once more. "Twin Berserker Dance."

"!!!" William was taken aback before he spat blood as two big wounds appeared on his chest.

"Tch! Too shallow." His opponent clicked his tongue and turned around, only to find William had gotten his rhythm back. "What?"

'It's time.' William thought. For the first time, he took the initiative to get closer to his opponent.

"Did you let me cut you, so you can grasp your rhythm back? You are very strong, aren't you?" The latter raised his blades and slashed both of them diagonally despite knowing that his attack would surely hit the spaceship. It just showed how powerful William is. He needed to use everything without thinking about someone's safety if he wanted to defeat William, especially after sensing that William had built up his own attack, planning to release it at any moment.

"Unsurpassed Blade Wind." The powerful wind gushed out of his swords and even pushed the spaceship a little. No matter what anyone said, he was still a Rank 2 God. Even though William was stronger, he still had enough strength to claim his current cultivation.

"I might be slashing my own ship, but I need to do it to defeat you." His eyes flashed a dangerous glint as the wind became even stronger. "Even if you are my enemy, it's an honor to fight a swordsman like you."

"I see. So, you are also a warrior. In that case, let's this clash end it all." William smiled as he almost reached his opponent.

"So be it!" He smiled and swung his swords with all his might. "Unsurpassed God Blade."

Seeing the swords, William also released his strike and passed his opponent.

Not many people saw it, but in that instant, two massive green Sword Waves were about to hit the spaceship, but both were destroyed by William's swords alone without having any extraordinary appearance.

However, only his opponent faced the real nightmare of William's true sword.

With his back facing William's back, he sheathed his swords and smiled. "What is the name of your blade?"

"Two Flash Sword Style Ultimate Form. Formless Third Blade."

"Swinging a hundred times to create a magnificent combo that even forced the law of this universe to create one Absolute Blade. Sacrificing your own body to forcefully gain back your rhythm. The third blade of a two-sword style…I have lost."

William smiled as the blade finally showed its might. The Rank 2 God's body was split into half as the cut area spread, cutting the mothership's wing cleanly.

William also sheathed his swords and took a deep breath, still feeling numb after that last attack. Even though he was an enemy, he considered him a warrior.

"Such a strong warrior. I am glad to have the chance to fight him."

As the fight ended, Sullivan sighed. "It seems that your friend has died."

"Hmph! You should worry about yourself first. All this time, you keep defending, and with him being exhausted from that last battle, I will kill you before he can recover." Sullivan's opponent snorted as he used all eight arms to strike Sullivan.

However, such a thing was easily blocked by not his sword but his wings. He simply covered his body with his wings that seemed to be impenetrable before slashing his sword.

His opponent was also better than a normal Rank 2 God. His real hand was far faster than his stone hands, allowing him to intercept that true strike.

Still, if one were to take a closer look, they would notice that Sullivan's feathers kept being chipped by his opponent. They all were scattering in the space.

After a certain point, they started to be noticeable, making people think that Sullivan would lose.

The conclusion came in a sudden, when Sullivan's opponent hit him again, due to the lack of feathers, it was the first time Sullivan bleed.

The blood coming out of his wings floated into space, making his opponent more confident.

'It's time." He smirked as all eight swords began to glow. "Die!"

"Eight Arms Asura. Divine Cut."

Sullivan looked at those blades and smiled. He recalled what happened six thousand years ago.

Six thousand years ago.

It was his meeting with Alex in the castle. Because it was a private one, only two of them were inside a small room.

"Sullivan," Alex called.

"Do you need me, Your Majesty?"

"Why do you keep holding back your power?" Alex asked while looking at him.

"I don't understand what you mean, Your Majesty." He shook his head in confusion.

"How about you return to your original form?" Alex narrowed his eyes. "I don't like the small one, the real one."

Sullivan pondered for a second before turning into a three meters high crow. However, unlike the form that Sherry had seen, his wings had a difference. It wasn't just a simple one pair. Instead, Sullivan actually had three pairs of wings.

"Due to these wings, people called me an oddball or a monster. I am afraid that it will affect Your Majesty's image…" Sullivan shook his head.

"You kept saying that despite knowing I don't mind, right?"

"Even so, I would feel bad after doing it. I know I am in the wrong. Even if Your Majesty wants to exile me, this one will accept."

Alex sighed and looked at the ceiling before realizing something. "That's right. I have upgraded the ability of my Elemental Gods, Guardians, and Commandants, but I haven't done anything to you."

"That… That… I think it's a waste to use it on me, Your Majesty. I will keep hiding the other two pairs…"

"No, I think I can do something about it." Alex smiled. "But I want you to promise me something."

Sullivan hesitated, so Alex decided to continue without waiting for his reply. "I will give you the chance to hide it. However, there will be a time that your power alone is not enough to handle your opponent. At that time, I want you to show me everything. Even if people claim you are a monster, I will become even more monstrous to make you look like a normal Spirit. I will walk every step you take, so…"

He placed his hands on Sullivan's shoulders before using his Spirit Crown.

Sullivan suddenly turned into his human form.

"Sullivan. True Spirit Body!"

"True Spirit Body, Untainted Crow Form."

Suddenly, Sullivan transformed into his True Spirit Body only to feel something weird. The power he gained wasn't comparable to his usual True Spirit Body.

Alex waved his hand and controlled the Spiritual Energy to create a mirror, allowing him to see his own transformation. At that time, Sullivan let out tears as he saw only one pair of wings on his back.

"This was the first time. Instead of enhancing your skill, I used it on your True Spirit Body instead, separating your True Spirit Body into two parts." Alex paused for a moment and asked. "How about you use it?"

"How?" Sullivan tilted his head in confusion.

"I am sure that you know it. Ask your body, not me." Alex shook his head with a calm expression, waiting for him to achieve the second form.

Sullivan closed his eyes and checked his body before an image flashed in his mind. He subconsciously opened his mouth. "True Spirit Body, Intexia Crow Form."

Two other pairs of his wings suddenly appeared as if it just grew. His power raised exponentially, even surpassing his previous power.

Even Sullivan was shocked when he saw this. Checking his body, he exclaimed in surprise. "This…My current power is like one hundred twenty percent of my original form."

"There is one more thing." Alex smiled and stretched his hand, grasping his wing.

Sullivan couldn't understand what he did, but when he saw blood coming out of his palm, he quickly undid his transformation. "Your Majesty."

"I am fine." Alex smiled and retracted his hand, looking at the wound that soon got closed. "Your Wing has become your additional blade."

"Your Majesty." Sullivan quickly kneeled as he never thought that Alex would have done something like this for someone like him. He had betrayed Alex's trust by holding back and yet, not only Alex gave him another chance, but he also granted him something far more important.

"Sullivan. I am relying on you. I know for sure that even the Lightning Goddess, Zerah, can't compete against you in terms of speed."

Sullivan kept kneeling and couldn't help but cry.

After recalling that scene, Sullivan took a deep breath and opened his mouth. "True Spirit Body, second form. Intexia Crow Form."

Sullivan finally released all his six wings. Those wings instantly cut all the stone arms as Sullivan slashed his blade from below, hitting the real two hands.

"!!!" His enemy widened his eyes and leaped backward to gain another distance because he smelled something different from Sullivan.

However, Sullivan already disappeared in that instant.

"Where—" His enemy opened his mouth before realizing that he had been cut and soon split into half.

Sullivan turned out to be behind him with Dark Energy coming out of his body. "I am sorry for this whole time, Your Majesty. To think that I couldn't see you anymore after giving you that promise. However, I won't run away anymore."

"Traceless Blade. Intex."

He sheathed his sword and let out a long sigh before his eyes intertwined with William's, who gradually approached him.
