Chapter 424: Dawn of the Battle

Chapter 424: Dawn of the Battle

424 Dawn of the Battle

"The first match!"

Two women entered the arena. The first one was Charya, coming with a fierce aura. The second one was one of the elders from Rainbow Flower Sect.

Their eyes intertwined with each other and nodded, understanding their role in the plan. "So, you are my opponent, huh… Still, since our sects have an alliance, what should we do with this?"

"Just fight seriously. We can end this fight in an instant." The elder said slowly.

"Fine, I am going all out from the fight and end this match in an instant."

"Only if you can."

They were just rehearsing the conversation they made yesterday.

"Match Start!"

"Sun Beam!" Charya immediately raised her sword and swung it down. The giant sword plunged the elder, trying to crush the elder from Rainbow Flower Sect.

"Grand Cross!" Meanwhile, the elder swung her sword twice, making a red X in the air. The 'X' flew toward the giant sword and stopped its advance.

The shock wave immediately sent through the arena, and the people started cheering for them.

Both of them started fighting with their swords only without using any Martial Arts. Even so, with their sheer strength as well as Spiritual Energy, it was enough to send many destruction in the arena.

Their objective was to make the match flashy, and the only solution they could think of was to destroy the arena. This should be enough to make it flashy.

They continued to destroy the arena without seriously hurting each other. Meanwhile, Alex was talking with a card.

"Nelson, what is your status?"

"I am alright, Young Master. I can kill all of them in half a day since I have marked all of them. As soon as you want me to start, I will begin the killing feast." Nelson said from the other side of the card.

"Have you checked there won't be anyone that comes or leaves the Zhou Kingdom again?"

"Yes. There should be no more. The ones in the Zhou Kingdom are just leftovers."

"Still, it is half a day, huh… So we are going to fight that giant army without you." Alex pondered for a while.

"I am sorry about my incapability." Nelson apologized. He knew Alex wanted him to assassinate all the Martial Lords in the area since his ability would be the most useful for that job. After all, Anna, Leoz, and the others, their skills would be perfect for fighting many opponents.

"Alright. You have my permission. Kill them." Alex just let go of that plan as he had a backup plan for that. If they managed to kill all the Martial Lords, the battle could progress smoothly, so no matter whose job it would be, it should pose no problem as long as it succeeded.

"None shall live," Nelson said with a cold tone in the end.

Alex then took out Vera's card and summoned her.

"Vera, you are going to kill all the people in the basement after they have activated the array. After that, erase all traces of the array. I will summon you again when I reach Rivulet Forest."

"Understood." Vera nodded and disappeared.

He watched the battle unfolded. Well, since he had known the result, this match did not interest him.

After several minutes clashing, Charya and the elder retreated a few steps back before Charya said while panting, "You are good."

"You too."

"How about we end this right now?"

"Last strike." The elder nodded.

Both of them then raised their swords before leaping toward each other.

The conclusion came to a sudden as it looked like they were passing each other. But in that instant, there was a single clash of blade which Charya won. The elder said while falling down to the ground, "I lose…"

"Heavenly Sword Sect wins!"

The ordinary people started cheering again since they only thought this fight was good. As for the strong people from Sects or Kingdoms, they frowned because this match was something ridiculous. They knew the two people had only used a small amount of power.

However, they could not exactly say anything after considering the alliance between the two sects. They just understood that Heavenly Sword Sect and Rainbow Flower Sect had made a deal just by observing this match.

"Such a powerful fight. The Heavenly Sword Sect wins the first fight as Elder Charya has managed to defeat three people in the first match against the Thiveapia Kingdom, will she do the same in this match?"

Charya only smiled. "Nah! I am exhausted. Fighting her is truly tiring, so I will stop in this match."

"That's a shame. But considering this is the final, then it is understandable." The announcer said.

The match continued again with the second elder that came for this round. The match was exciting for the people but not for the sect master of Buddha Sect or any powerful people as they could see how fake the matches were.

Until the fourth match, Alex finally got the news from Nicole.

"Young Master, they have passed us, and with their speed, they should arrive in twenty minutes."

"How many?" Alex asked.

"There was no change of plan, so we only saw 15 Martial Kings," Nicole reported.

"Understood. One of you will go to the enemy's army and help Njomo there, and the other will follow the Martial Kings until everything starts. I will be there in half an hour or so anyway, depending on their arrival time." Alex said.

"Yes"

Alex contemplated a bit. Since this was the fourth match, they would need around twenty-five minutes to finish. Alex immediately contacted Letizia to speed up a little before telling the people from Heavenly Sword Sect the same thing.

He then took out Njomo's card and Ngina's card. He asked, "Njomo, how is the situation there?"

"Woof Woof Woof!"

Ngina instantly translated it. "The army is getting ready to move out. It seems they should be able to move out in around two hours."

Alex looked down, weighing something in his mind. The timing was perfect, so the enemy should not know about their plan. However, one particular matter started crawling inside his mind. It was the matter of their previous attack.

He was grateful that they did not change their plan since he could make a good plan like this. Sadly, thinking about that matter, he felt the enemies might also know about this.

Of course, what he did not know was how desperate the enemy was for this plan. If he knew that the enemy had paid a huge price as well as had planned a few years just for this moment, Alex could realize the enemy would not change their plan.

Sadly, because he did not know this, it made him worry. Alex just made a precaution for this and was ready to change his plan if needed.

When he was thinking about his plan, the matches still continued. Sometimes it was Heavenly Sword Sect that won and sometimes it was Rainbow Flower Sect. Sometimes, Heavenly Sword Sect won twice, and sometimes it was Rainbow Flower Sect. The elders from both sects clearly knew about the plan and acted according to it. The plan was just to make the match look real, so they used many types of winning situations.

They knew they had to conserve their strength because the real battle would be the battle against 150,000 soldiers. They realized no matter how many shares of Spirit Stone mine they would get from this tournament, it would be useless if they did not live to exploit that.

They continued their own farce until finally, it was the last match. The announcer and the audience could not wait any longer.

"Finally, we are going to the last match! Alexander Sirius versus Letizia La Scola. Even I, the announcer, could not hold my excitement any longer, so without further ado, let us call Alexander Sirius and Letizia La Scola to the arena!"

"Uoh!"

"Ice Queen!"

"The most beautiful flower from Rainbow Flower Sect!"

"My goddess!"

"Sword King!"

"My prince, good luck!"

"Kyaa!"

The cheering for both of them resounded through the entire city. Their fame already stuck in everyone's mind and would spread to the entire continent after this tournament ended.

Letizia walked slowly to the arena with her beautiful smile. She tied her hair into a ponytail since today, something big would occur in the tournament. She did not want her hair to mess her up in a ridiculous moment.

Meanwhile, Alex appeared in the arena, leaving nothing to show like Letizia.

Letizia clasped her hand and bowed respectfully to him. "It seems we are going to end this."

Alex nodded. "Yeah."

"I hope we can have a battle with a sword if there is an opportunity. It is a very rare chance to get guidance from a Sword King such as yourself."

"My talent is not as powerful as your Pure Ice Element. How can I compete with you in that aspect? So, I will shamelessly accept your invitation. Of course, I am also curious about the power of the Pure Ice Element."

"Then, how about I show you my power first before you show me your sword skill? After that, we can fight earnestly." Letizia asked with a smile.

"I don't personally mind." Alex nodded.

"Match Start!"

"Then, here I go." Letizia made the first move as she stretched her hand. "Deep Frozen Ice Technique. Ice Phoenix."

A big ice phoenix came toward him. Alex smiled and raised his sword. He controlled the Sword Domain and fused it to his sword before waving his sword.

The Ice Phoenix suddenly cut into two and crumbled into pieces right in front of Alex.

"Such a powerful technique." Letizia nodded. She then waved her hands before a huge Ice Tornado appeared in the middle of the arena.

"Heaven Freezing Tornado."

This was the first time Alex felt this tornado from up-close. And he finally felt the full bone-chilling aura emanated from the tornado.

He might not escape unscathed if he went inside that tornado if it was not because of his Pure Fire. As expected from a Heaven Tier Martial Arts, he thought.

He waved his sword and sent out a Sword Wave this time. The sword wave did not hold his element as he also wanted to see how powerful a Heaven Tier Martial Art with a Pure Element.

"Seven Stars Cut."

The sword wave flew toward the Cold Tornado before it started freezing in mid-air. The people thought even though it was made by a Sword King, and it still could not win against a Pure Element.

Sadly, Alex had carefully aimed the sword wave after considering this effect. The Sword Wave had yet to freeze entirely before it was engulfed by the tornado.

Suddenly, the tornado started to vanish. Letizia also put an astonished face for this as the Sword Wave that everyone thought was a goner, managed to destroy the tornado. However, it also came with a price as the Sword Wave also got frozen and fell to the sky before it shattered to pieces on the ground.

"Such a powerful move from a Sword King. To think you can destroy this attack." Letizia nodded.

Alex only shrugged. "This is also my strongest move."

Letizia sighed inwardly. She knew Alex still had his Pure Fire Element, and he would be able to destroy her tornado easily if he decided to use that power. She smiled, "Then, may I have the pleasure to have a sword fight with you?"

Alex paused for a bit before he nodded. "Sure."

Alex recalled his spear back and raised his sword. He pointed at his sword toward her and said, "Please."

Letizia nodded as she was ready to make the first move. However, just before she stepped forward,

"Hahaha… so these two are the greatest prodigies in Wilow Continent. A Pure Ice Element and A Sword King in his early twenties…" A sound suddenly echoed through everyone's ears.

"Who is it? Show yourself!" Honda Sana suddenly rose from her seat and flew to the sky. She roared to the empty air in front of her while narrowing her eyes.
