Chapter 570: Normal Talk
570 Normal Talk
In Alex's house, Charya sat down on a couch, looking at the ceiling with empty eyes.
Alex just finished telling her the condition of Song Yu, Putri, and Evelyn in a simple way. It was something unbelievable for her, especially Evelyn.
"I'm glad that Song Yu and Putri are fine." The burden that was filling her heart this whole time finally lifted. Charya made a genuine smile, thinking that both of them were already becoming a great figure. "Is Evelyn really gone to the Heavenly Continent?"
"Yeah. The person who took her was my master's acquaintance, so I think there is no problem for the time being."
"It's good then. At the very least, all of them have a bright future ahead, and I will only wish for their good fortune from here." Charya closed her eyes while smiling.
Alex looked at her mysteriously before asking, "Elder Charya… Do you want to reach a higher level? If you come to the Northern Continent, I bet you can reach the Martial King if not Emperor."
"No. I am fine at this place. Unlike all of you, I don't have any desire to pursue higher cultivation. I am rather here while watching all of you guys and any new disciples that came to the Heavenly Sword Sect grow." Charya declined his invitation while sighing in disappointment.
Alex didn't know where the disappointment was directed, but he also chose not to ask her. He smiled and said, "It's fine. Elder Charya has helped me in the past, so I just wish for your well being."
"Thank you." Charya nodded before asking, "By the way, what about that girl from Rainbow Flower Sect?"
"Ah." Alex finally remembered her. "According to my information, a person captured her when she was on her way toward the Northern Continent. After searching through the Northern Continent, I couldn't find her, so the only place I could think of right now would be Heavenly Continent. After all, this is the only continent that I don't have any information about it."
???Hmm… Well, she has made her own choice by going to the Northern Continent. You shouldn't blame yourself either. Just like Evelyn's case, her situation should be the same. With her Pure Ice Element, she shouldn't die easily." Charya assured her with a smile.
"Oh, right. There is one problem that I need to inform you about. We are speaking about Heavenly Continent right now, and yes, the problem is coming from there." Alex made a complicated expression.
Charya tilted her head, confused why he looked so worried. "What's wrong? Is it too big for you to handle?"
"I can handle them appropriately, but not you guys. I am afraid Evelyn's case will be repeated. I-"
Before he finished his words, the door was slammed open as a person came inside, running toward Alex. "Master, I have done my job."
"What is it, Master?" Rose looked at him, confused. She walked toward a couch not far from Alex and sat down.
"I want to talk about the problem that will come in the future. Although I am not a hundred percent sure, it has a high probability." Alex sighed before taking out a token and tossing it to Rose. "First of all, take this."
Rose caught the token with both hands and looked at this plain wooden token. She noticed a few symbols on the token, looked up, and asked Alex. "What is this wooden plank, Master?"
"It's a token for my base on the Northern Continent. Seeing your progress, you would likely reach the Martial King Stage within two months. If you are planning to go to the Northern Continent, then I have made a base there. You can activate the token, and it will give you a general direction of my base and also act as a key.
"As for what kind of base it is, you can experience it yourself. Though I could proudly say, it's a good base. The location is also not too far from Blackwade Clan, where Senior Sister Song Yu and Putri stayed. You will be safe there since no one would find that place unless they are lucky." Alex explained.
"To the Northern Continent? Why did Master tell me like you are not there anymore?" Rose asked with a complicated expression.
"I am not going there anymore. I have another thing to do at Sacred Continent after this and will go to the Heavenly Continent through that place."
"What? I can't meet Master?" Rose was shocked. She had been practicing this whole time just to chase him like Evelyn, especially after Anna lied to him about Alex. This made her think Alex was avoiding her for her own good because whoever could lock him in one place would be very powerful. They wouldn't care about Alex's opinion much less Rose's life.
This problem made Rose's heart move but also hurt. She had owed him too much by making her his disciple alone. "Master, is this because of Rose? If so, then I will do anything you want as long as I can help you."
"Haha… What are you thinking, honestly? There are two reasons I am going to the Sacred Continent. First, there is a certain influence from Heavenly Continent that is chasing me. They are called Fire God Clan. The second reason is a promise.
"I promised someone to go to the Sacred Continent and fulfill his wish there. In other words, I am not escaping to the Sacred Continent, but I am tricking them. Besides, if they know I am on the Sacred Continent, they would direct their attention there." Alex patted her head a few times. "Even with all of this, they might still target you. So within that time, I want you to go to the Heavenly Continent to pursue higher cultivation."
"At that time, if someone is searching for you, just go hide for a while in the base." Alex smiled before looking at Charya. "There is also a chance of Heavenly Sword Sect to get attacked by them. However, the probability would be low because it would only make them look bad."
"Ah. Don't worry about me and this sect. Compared to them, we are just like ants. We have been living in a paradise that people start forgetting about that fact. Though I will surely inform the sect master about it." Charya shrugged nonchalantly.
Alex smiled helplessly, looking at her carefree attitude.
It was at this time Leoz walked toward him and whispered something. It must be something important, Rose and Charya thought after looking at his change of expression.
Alex made a severe expression while looking at both of them and rising from his seat. "I'm sorry. I need to talk a bit outside."
"Oh. Just take your time."
"I will wait for Master patiently."
Alex nodded before walking outside with Leoz. He abruptly opened his Inventory and took out Nano's Card. "Nano, are you serious?"
"Yes, Young Master. I have witnessed it with my own eyes. Even Noel has confirmed the fact." Nano affirmed.
Astonishment appeared on his face because he would never think a person who thought their family would agree with this.
"Young Master, what are you going to do with this?"
Alex pondered for a moment before saying, "Nah. Seeing the distance between Heavenly Continent and Northern Continent, they would certainly need to travel by boat, considering they don't have Space Element. It would only be around a month before they could arrive, so we will leave them alone for the time being. Besides, Nicole and the other spies already made their way toward the Heavenly Continent, so they are going to be in charge of this matter."
"Understood." Nano nodded.
After finishing the matter, Alex tossed the card into his Inventory before going back. His expression had lessened as he sat on his previous seat and let out a long sigh.
"What's wrong, Master?" Rose asked innocently, worrying about him.
Charya also listened carefully.
"Senior Sister Song Yu decided to go to the Heavenly Continent." Alex sighed.
Charya was astounded while Rose quickly fell into deep thought, thinking why her master had such a troubled expression.
"That's good then." Charya was happy for Song Yu, who pursued higher cultivation, albeit Rose had a different reaction as she asked, "Master, what kind of problem would Elder Sister Song Yu receive if she goes to the Heavenly Continent?"
"Her grandfather was exiled to the Northern Continent because of a mistake. However, a certain elder from the main clan decided to bring Song Yu to the Heavenly Continent. There are various reasons that are related to me, but seeing I am not going there any time soon… As expected, the main problem would come from the clan itself." Alex sighed.
"You mean, she is going to fight the main clan?" Rose asked.
Alex recalled the information about Song Yu first instead of answering. After two minutes, he opened his mouth. "According to my information, I remembered that the Elder who takes her away is the Fourth Elder of Blackwade Main Clan. If this kind of elder suddenly said he failed her grandfather and couldn't fight for him a few centuries ago, do you think this problem is going too deep?
"Now I think about it, even her grandfather said how his granddaughter's talent was above him. Coupled with her extraordinary hearing, I doubt the journey is going to be smooth."
"Ah." Rose was enlightened. If that was a small mistake, an Elder like that should be enough to protect Song Yu's grandfather. However, if a person such as him said he failed Song Qiang, there would be only two possibilities about it. First, the mistake is too big, and the elder is hopeless against it. The second would be a conspiracy in the main clan. Either way, Song Yu would have a share of that problem.
"I see…" Charya's expression darkened as she was the most troubled with this information. "I hope she is fine…"
The atmosphere became awkward before Charya suddenly rose and said, "I am going to my house for a while."
Alex nodded, looking at Charya, who was pretty shaken by the news. Watching her leave the house, he then turned to Rose and changed the topic. "Anyway, I will only stay for a day in this place. How about you show me what you learned in the past few years, Rose?"
Rose was a bit surprised by his invitation and smiled. "Fine by me."
Then, they went into the field while having some light sparring. Surprisingly, Rose didn't give up, no matter how Alex beat her up until she was finally too exhausted to move. He carried her to the bedroom, thinking it was the best time to leave.
Charya also came to him before he left.
"Are you going to leave?"
"Yes."
"Take care then. If you are going back here, I will always be in this place." Charya smiled.
"Yes. See you later, Elder Charya. If fate aligns, we shall meet again." Alex nodded and disappeared.
