Chapter 751 - Freedom Sect's Stance
Three weeks later,
Rose had finished absorbing every bit of energy inside the pill. Alex could see the flow of her Spiritual Energy and realized the effect was far better than he expected. Unfortunately, there was nothing to see for him because even his Spirit Eyes couldn't discern how much the effect was. The only thing he could do was to wait until Rose cultivated for a month or two.
As promised, Alex spent two days having a pleasant talk with Rose from small things like how she spent her days to big things such as their next plans. She told Alex that she had permission to help him if she managed to beat the Potential Tower. As much as he wanted to stop her from joining, he realized that the bird finally needed to use her own wing to soar in the sky. In the end, he agreed with Rose's request.
On the other hand, Rose felt refreshed after talking about everything with Alex. Just like how Alex sometimes enjoyed his life, being able to talk to him like this relaxed Rose.
After they sorted everything out, Alex then used his Teleportation Array to go to the southern part of the Divine Kingdom, where the cave resided.
"Such a big hole… And it's full of water." Rose was amazed by the hole. Due to the tsunami, the hole was completely covered. He still remembered where they needed to go to the surface first before Ryuu and Maya could see the spirits.
"That's right. The entrance is inside this place. I have remembered the place, and we should be able to go there without meeting any monsters." Alex nodded. "Let's go."
"Yes." Rose followed Alex and covered her body with Spiritual Energy to prevent the water from making her clothes wet before jumping into the water.
Alex led her through the cave and arrived at the entrance after a few minutes of swimming.
The two people guarding this place realized Alex's presence, so they slowly approached him.
Alex knew they needed to check his identity, so he took out the token and activated his Spiritual Energy, showing the golden Fire Symbol.
The two disciples immediately opened the gate for him. "I am sorry, Elder. I didn't recognize you earlier."
"Good job. You two should be careful no matter what." Alex shook his head and acted friendly. "I am going to enter the sect."
"Please." The two disciples let Alex in as one of them guided him to the portal while the other closed the gate.
Alex then activated the array and teleported with Rose. He didn't forget to leave a message to both of them. "I won't be long."
They didn't understand his words but chose to store it inside their brain. They didn't doubt Alex because his strength already reached Martial Saint. Although there were many problems to have an elder like that, sometimes they needed an exception.
On the contrary, Alex chose the Space Temple as his destination because Aileen would be the one teaching her.
"Master… That tower…" Rose pointed her finger at the Space Temple as she never saw a building with this design.
"That's our destination."
Rose said nothing more and observed their surroundings until they arrived at the bottom of the tower.
"This is the Space Temple." Alex smiled before two disciples stopped him from going. He simply showed his tokens before the two disciples let them in. Without paying attention to the other elders, Alex climbed the stairs to the top floor and knocked on the wooden door.
"Come in!"
Alex pushed the door while holding Rose's hand, pulling her inside.
"It's been a while, Great Elder Aileen."
"!!!" Aileen was busy with her works, so she didn't pay attention. Only when she listened to this familiar voice that she finally looked up with a shocked face. "Alex!"
Alex smiled and nodded. "I have returned with my disciple."
"Disciple?" Aileen raised her eyebrows and shifted her look to the young girl beside him. She was utterly shocked when she saw Rose. Not only was she a 3-Star Martial Monarch, but her Bow Intent was also beyond her imagination.
"This is my disciple, Rose Skewes. As promised, I come with my disciple, so she can get the Space Element and train here. I hope Great Elder can guide her… Just don't steal her from me." Alex teased her. If she knew Rose's talent after getting the Bow Mastery, she must want to steal her.
"What did you say? Are you looking down on my Ryuu and Maya? They are strong too." Aileen pouted before sighing. "Albeit… Compared to you, they are still nothing. To think that in this short time, you can reach 1-Star Martial Saint…"
"Haha…" Alex scratched his head before saying. "Anyway, my business here is to send her here and discuss our grand plan."
"Ah! Are you going to attack them now? Even us can't mobilize our force that fast…" Aileen furrowed her eyebrows, having a complicated expression on her face.
"No, no. I can only tell you the rough date, but it is after Rose has finished her training here. Considering the Potential Tower will open every three years, she has roughly two years in this place. Within that time, I want her to learn Space Element… Maybe you can teach her about Bow yourself… But once again, don't steal from me." Alex shrugged.
"I only have one Master in my life, and it won't change," Rose grabbed Alex's shirt and said with a sad look.
Alex smiled and patted her head.
"I understand. Since this is within our cooperation, I will arrange it all. I need to inform the council first, so we can discuss it together later." Aileen paused for a moment. "I will send you to your previous house first, so you can give her a house tour while I am calling the council over. Will that be fine?"
"Sure." Alex nodded.
Aileen nodded her head and walked outside her room. She looked at an elder not far from her and sent a thought transmission. 'Elder Ma. Take care of my matter for today, I have an urgent matter.'
After giving the message, she returned and snapped her finger, creating a Spatial Gate for them to go through.
Alex and Rose blinked, and the scenery changed. Rose looked at the house in front of her and glanced at Alex, waiting for his decision.
"I will be leaving you here." Aileen waved her hand and went somewhere with her Spatial Gate.
Alex nodded and entered the house with Rose. "Let's go inside."
"Un!" Rose nodded with a smile as she was wondering what kind of house Alex stayed in for a while.
Alex just showed some parts of the house he used and created a rank 8 Gathering Array. Not long after, all the Great Elders appeared in front of the house, of course, by Aileen's Spatial Gate.
Alex came out of the house alone and looked at them with a smile. "Where do you want to discuss this matter? Or do you want to discuss it inside? It won't take too long anyway."
This was certainly unexpected. They looked at each other and nodded.
Alex then led him to the backyard, where the group decided to sit down on the grass without thinking. As expected, Licht was the one who negotiated with him.
"I only have a few things to say." Alex cut to the chase without offering any greeting, and the Great Elders didn't particularly care about this anyway, so he continued. "First. I want to borrow Great Elder Aileen and one 10-Star Martial Saint to help me threaten the Ancient Blue Family.
"If we pass this hurdle, we might only need to fight Snow White Mountain and Fire God Clan. With the help of Drunken Pavilion and Blackwade Clan, they shouldn't be able to do anything."
Licht closed his eyes for a second. "Do you want to use her Space Element to threaten the Ancient Blue Family?"
As expected, Licht realized his intention. Alex smiled and explained. "Knowing that you are going to resurface, it means you won't hold back and hide your Space Element. That's why I choose to use it first. It can also make the allies that I have the backing of Space Element experts… Or even more. This way, they won't betray us."
"When do you need them?" Licht could agree with Alex's plan since it was indeed a good idea.
"Two months from now."
Licht then glanced at Aileen and Viola, asking their opinion.
Aileen nodded. "I can go at that time. Although I am only an 8-Star Martial Saint, my Space Element should be able to scare them. We just need to cooperate to make a deep impression within their hearts."
"Sure. As much as I hate to cooperate with this woman, I will go according to this plan. Meanwhile, Elder Licht can start the preparation."
Licht nodded and looked back at Alex. "You heard them."
"Yes. They are enough." Alex nodded.
"When are you going to start the war?"
"Two years from now. I want my disciple to beat the Potential Tower first." Alex smirked.
"Ho!" Licht narrowed his eyes as the others looked astonished. It was a bold claim from Alex. They looked at Rose, who was standing in the corner, scanning her up and down.
Rose flinched for a second because of these stares, but she had her resolve. She stood tall and looked back at the elders, telling them Alex's disciple wasn't a pushover.
"Don't scare my disciple like that… I just believe she will beat the tower." Alex smirked. "I haven't told her a single thing about this place though."
Licht thought for a moment and nodded. "I understand. I will go according to your plan. Aileen and Viola will go with you two months later while I will gather all the disciples who want to migrate while leaving some to maintain this place. Do you know the specific date for this? I want to know the deadline to make it easier."
"I don't have a deadline. I am thinking about fighting them after I reach 5-Star or 6-Star Martial Saint. Although it's hard, I believe I can reach that stage within two years if I push myself to the limit. Besides, I have a few things to do on the surface to ensure our victory." Alex shrugged before taking out a token. "This is my token. Just activate it when you reach the surface, I will be able to sense it."
Viola was the one who took it since Viola was careless with this type of thing.
"I will be teaching the basics for your disciples first within these two months… Since she also has a bow as her weapon, she is my friend." Aileen nodded.
"Thank you. I will leave her in your hand, Great Elder Aileen. Though I need to apologize in advance if Maya gets disheartened once again."
"Hmph!" Aileen snorted. "She has been training like crazy, so it won't happen."
"Is this all?"
"Yeah. If I discuss the details now, it might change depending on how the others react later. It is best if I observe a bit more and plan accordingly." Alex nodded.
"I see… Since you are coming here, how about staying for a day?" Viola asked.
Alex glanced at Rose for a few seconds before shaking his head. "No. I will be returning to the surface after this."
"Alright then. I shouldn't keep you any longer." Licht cupped his hand as he brought the other elders and exited Alex's house, leaving only Rose, Alex, and Aileen inside the house.
Alex introduced her. "This is Great Elder Aileen. She is a bow user with a Space Element. I have no worry about your bow anyway, so focus on your Space Element if possible."
"I understand, Master."
"Then, I will leave her to you, Great Elder."
"Sure."
Alex took another glance at Rose's face before using his Spatial Gate to leave.
Aileen was stunned. The stability and power behind the Spatial Gate were far greater than she expected him to be to the point she muttered. "Monster."
Little did she know it was coming from the inheritance inside the Ancient Ruin.
