Chapter 795 - End of the War

Chapter 795 End of the War

"Kill them all!"

Alex led his group in the front, sweeping the whole Fire God Clan. Most of their powerful cultivators had been killed by Alex, while some were heavily injured. That Hell Inferno indeed decided the fight. If someone else used that technique, they would probably kill less than a thousand. This was why Pure Fire was dangerous, let alone the evolved one.

With this scale of destruction, especially since Alex blew it up in the middle of their army where most elites gathered, the Fire God Clan was crippled. Most of the remaining disciples were Martial Emperor or below. Even those Martial Monarchs or Saints that still stood with them had trouble controlling the fear of Alex's strength and the rampaging army.

The moment they saw Alex was fine and still led the army, killing their friends one by one, they couldn't help but think of him as a monster. There was no way he would be fine after using something like that. What they didn't know was the fact that half the energy came from Sherry in his body.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't know it. The Martial Monarchs and Saints in their ranks still tried to awaken them. Even without the elders, they still needed to fight back because Alex wouldn't spare the Fire God Clan.

"Fire God Clan fight!"

"We can't let them ruin the clan without paying the price."

The shouts were coming from those who had been living in the Fire God Clan for a long time and loyal to the clan reverberated in everyone's ears. Even blood flowed out of their eyes.

Half of those strong ones couldn't endure it more and decided to drag the enemies down to hell with them. Utilizing their Fire God Body and swallowing their Berserk Pill, they charged at Alex's army. No matter how many people they kill, they will drag them down with them.

"Attacks!" One of those guys shouted and charged. Seeing this action, the rest started charging as well.

Unfortunately, their enemies were too strong, especially since Alex had been informed to have the elites come to the front. He predicted this would happen and wouldn't let the Fire God Clan rise, lest they created more problems for him.

When they charged against many elites, they would soon get surrounded by at least two or three people. After all, the people coming to them were only three thousand and could be easily overwhelmed by Alex's army.

However, it seemed the people from the Fire God Clan still have a backbone. They slowly rose from the ground after watching their elites dying. If nothing could save them at the moment, it would be best to drag your enemy down.

They had the same thought with them and charged.

Despite having killed many of them, Alex still furrowed his eyebrows, knowing how hard it was to fight berserkers like them that thought nothing but making suicidal attacks.

Even after utilizing his suppression, they still wouldn't go down easily. Because of this, Alex decided to slow their advance a bit as to prevent more casualties on their side.

Because of this, his force was the first one to break through the enemy's rank. And obviously, the one who got first was Blackwade Clan.

"Argh!"

"Aaahhhh!"

"Help me!"

"Save me!"

"Spare my life!"

The mercenaries screamed out of unwillingness. They were here because Fire God Clan allowed them to pick items in the enemy's possession, except their clan elders or higher statuses. And those who contributed a big time for the clan would have the opportunity to choose items as his reward.

Unfortunately, everything went up in smoke. They could get nothing other than a ticket to the underworld. Of course, they would be unwilling.

Blackwade Clan used that thinking to pressure them less, to make them think they would spare them. When everyone stopped and tried to run away after the passive Blackwade Clan, they restarted their advance and killed them with faster speed than earlier.

Leoz and Jeanne didn't say anything and just played along with their strategy as long as it could end the war faster.

And after two more hours of fighting, they finally killed all those thirty thousand people and headed toward the Snow White Mountain.

Realizing this, the Drunken Pavilion also stepped up their game. The pincer worked effectively, dividing their attention. Having lost their leaders and the majority of their power because of Jean and Riadon, they crumbled pretty fast.

However, when they were about to head to Alex's direction, they found out that Alex had also solved the situation, leaving only ten thousand people alive. And most of them didn't have any power to fight their army.

The Blackwade Clan and Drunken Pavilion helped them a little, and the battle had finally ended.

A few minutes later, Alex stood tall in the sky, watching how the beautiful city became ruined. The blood of more than two hundred thousand people flowed, and the smell was gruesome.

"Alex???" Suddenly, Anya came with a worried expression. She didn't know what he was thinking, but she felt a bit remorse by the sadness in his heart.

Even though most of the dead bodies were his enemies, two hundred thousand people were still a huge number.

"Anya, huh…" Alex glanced back with a pale face.

"Are you alright? Do you have a wound that I need to heal?"

"No… I am just pondering…" Alex shook his head.

"Are you feeling bad because of those guys?"

Alex hesitated for a few seconds before nodding. "Yes. I think that they must have a family that has been sent away as a refugee. And those families also have families. If I need to kill all of those just to ensure no one is left to have their revenge on me, wouldn't I need to kill a few million people?"

Anya gently smiled and hugged him. "It's fine. Blood will be washed by blood. I know the concept as well. However, I think you have done enough. There might be hate and revenge, but that's why we have people that can help us take care of our problems.

"We rely on each other to prevent that from happening. We can even have the Spirit World send their force here to prevent anyone from having that kind of thought.

"And there is one more thing that can actually prevent this." Anya paused for a second and smiled. "You need to have the strength to kill anyone in the world. You need to have the power to control and watch everything in the dark. You need to be honest and just."

Alex closed his eyes for a few seconds and smiled. "Become the strongest, create the strongest information network, and spare the innocents and just."

"Yeah. I am not saying that you need to do it alone. You have us. You can become the strongest and protect us with your strength. In exchange, we offer you our body and soul to help you create an ultimate paradise where you don't need to worry about your life. And your action will make us do it voluntarily, not by fear, but by loyalty."

"Thank you." Alex gradually regained his peace after listening to Anya. He knew it was wrong in the eyes of others, but for him, it was right. As long as he believed it was right with honesty and just, it should be fine to thread the future path.

"Sure." Anya smiled and released him. "If you have a problem, do consult with me. I might not be able to solve all of it, but I can surely listen to all your stories."

Alex wanted to say something and decided to shut his mouth again. Instead, he simply said, "Thank you… For everything."

Anya looked at his expression for a few seconds and decided not to continue. She then changed the topic. "Anyway, do you want to know something before we meet the other leaders to discuss the Snow White Mountain?"

Alex thought for a moment and glanced over the battlefield where Snow White Mountain fought Drunken Pavilion, specifically in the aftermath of the clash between Riadon and Leo.

"That…"

"Yeah. As I told you earlier, the first blue came from Leo, who used almost all of his energy to stimulate a peak rank 8 Array."

Alex glanced at her and the aftermath a couple of times before sighing. "Is that the real power of Array Master?"

"You can say that way. Of course, Array Master can't have that much power because they are too fixated on arrays. Only those who both study in Array Mastery, Weapon, and Element, would have that strength." Anya nodded while adding in her heart. 'Well, you have walked in this path for too long but just didn't realize it. Alicia, on the other hand, pursued this path as well…'

"I wonder if it's not too late to learn more about this?" Alex muttered in a low voice.

"You are too late if you don't have a basic or anything. But… You have it ready and have been doing it until Rank 8 Array Master. It's just you never think of it as a weapon in your possession. Besides, if you are going to master this, you are bound to be dangerous, especially with that Space Plate."

"Fair enough. With the help of Space Element and my Pure Fire, I think I can reinforce my own array to the highest degree." Alex nodded.

"So, are you going to achieve mastery on this?"

"I don't think we will have many problems after this war is over anyway, so I think it's alright to slow down my pace a bit and add everything to my repertoire. Now that I think about it, I don't really use all Sword and Spear Techniques, so I think I am going to change them with this."

"Fair enough. You have three Spear and Sword Techniques respectively. However, you don't really use Ignition Break, Blade of Conquest, Hundred Spears, Phantom Thrust, and Weapon Consuming Spear now. Instead of this, why don't you focus on your Sword and Spear Original Skill and its combination, and Heaven Light Slash."

Alex thought for a moment. "I think that is a good idea. I will throw the five from my fighting style and incorporate Arrays into my fighting style. Besides, I have also gotten a few Space Element Techniques to make my fighting style more unpredictable…"

"Yeah. I think I don't need to say anything about the arrays itself, right?"

Alex nodded. "The Arrays are in my memory, so I will just search the array in my choice and fight. Besides, I am going to advance my Alchemy too."

"Alchemy?" Anya was a bit surprised at this one, but she saw the smile on Alex's face and felt there was a good reason for it.

Before she asked, Alex already told her the reason. "I mean. Not many people will mess with Divine Alchemist, Divine Array Master, Pure Fire and Space Elements Cultivator, and twin weapons, right?"

Anya chuckled. "You need to have a better schedule if you want to keep all of that, you know."

"Hehe… I will require your help as well."

"Anna is better at managing time, so you can ask her. In your memory, she suits the 'Secretary' title well."

Alex smiled and nodded.

"Then I think it's time for us to join the others. Atlas and the others also want to say their goodbye to you."

"They are leaving now?"

"Yes. As promised, they are leaving as soon as the war is concluded." Anya nodded.

"Alright. Then it means both of our sides have delivered our promises."

"Yes. Let's go…?"

"And there is one more thing I want to say." Alex stopped her and grabbed her hand. He whispered to make sure no one heard it as of yet. "I am planning to take a break first since I am afraid I can't cultivate in peace after all of this over. Besides, Letizia also wants to go home before becoming a part of our Spirit Nest completely.

"I think it's the best time for us to enjoy for the time being. So, don't tell anyone yet since I am going to invite them to go around the world for one or two weeks, but only for enjoyment purposes. What do you think?"

"My lips are sealed… And sealed by this." Anya smiled and kissed him, telling him that Alex bought her with that sweet plan coming out of his mouth.
