To open any one of them, he needed to pour mana at the entrance until the entrance opens up. Moreover, the screen also detail fully explained where the entrance to these mana channels is. 

He just needs to open one of them and the beast will successfully step into C-rank. However, even a single mana channel was very vast.

'From my estimate, it will take more than a thousand units of mana. No worries, I got mana recovery potions,' Although Whittaker didn't bring an abundance of mana recovery potions with him – he wasn't expecting to travel the Scorpion-Kin desert– he still had more than a dozen high-quality mana recovery potions in his storage.

The master and its companion beast cooperated. His mana mixed with the mana of the King of Sand and struck the mana channel entrance again and again.

They weren't gonna stop until its open up entirely!
