Chapter 12 Blackout
Chapter 12 Blackout
With the knife in his right hand, the one facing Xavier was wary of being attacked by him and definitely couldn't handle pain or fight as well as him.
However, he was too focused on the knife that he couldn't react to the explosive left kick to the head that stunned him, then following the kick, Xavier pierced the knife into his stomach.
Blood splashed onto his hand as he did so, but he didn't flinch or seem affected by it in the slightest, as he withdrew the knife and dodged the punch that came from the side.
Each time he landed an attack on them, Xavier would feel an exhilarating rush of power throughout his body.
He almost felt as though the more he hurt them, the stronger he became, as he began being attacked by two others who also seemed to be decent at boxing.
Boxing was the fighting style that was most used, and it was understandable, since it had limited content and was still very effective.
However, unfortunately for them, Xavier was versed in boxing and much more than they were as he began blocking and dodging their flurry of punches.
-
Xavier's arms were being battered by all of their punches, and he lost his grip on the knife that had become slippery with all the blood on it, which his two opponents saw and were elated by.
However, as soon as one of them bent down to pick it up, Xavier had the opportunity to strike and was no longer being overwhelmed by the attacks of two larger opponents.
Ducking under a powerful right hook, Xavier hit his opponent with a right hook of his own to their liver as he ducked under his punch, then followed it up with a jab and a cross to his face.
It was a deadly combo and the punch to the liver was already enough to deal with him, since it was one of the most effective and dangerous attacks there were in boxing.
The punch shocks the liver, the largest gland organ, and a centre of blood circulation, which causes the victim to lose focus and drive, and also winds them.
As he gasped for air after being hit in the liver, he was then struck by two more powerful punches to the face, and stumbled backwards, falling onto the ground.
He hadn't lost consciousness, but he wouldn't be getting back up anytime soon, which left the other opponent, who had gone to pick up the knife that Xavier had dropped.
Xavier was really starting to feel weak and how he was still able to fight so well was amazing, but he was feeling dizzy and his vision was starting to become blurry.
Although he had never drunk alcohol since he was underage and couldn't afford to anyway, he imagined that's how someone who was extremely drunk would feel.
His body was swaying, and he felt like a leaf in the wind that was being blown about, as the one who picked up the knife went to slash at his face.
He definitely wasn't as fast or skilled in the use of the knife as the Crazy Slasher, but Xavier was barely standing up straight, so his chances of losing while wielding the knife were slim.
However, as the knife neared his face, Xavier felt a rush of strength for a moment as he leant backwards and narrowly dodged the slash.
He couldn't allow his face to get injured, not because he cared about his appearance much, but because of the promise he had made to himself after seeing his mother's reaction the first time he had gotten into a fight.
It had made a small cut in the mask he was wearing, but it hadn't cut his face.
However, despite the attack missing, the weakened and unstable Xavier had lost balance when he leant backwards and fell onto the ground.
He felt defenceless and helpless, and it seemed as though he had used the last of his strength.
Even breathing hurt and it felt as though he had 20kg weights attached to each of his wrists from how difficult it was the lift his arms.
With his opponent on the ground and him wielding a knife, he felt as though he had nothing to fear as he pounced on Xavier and went to slash his face again.
"You fucking cunt! Now you will pay!" he shouted as Xavier put his arms up to block the slash.
There was a sharp pain in his arms as he was deeply cut by the knife, but thankfully it wasn't extremely sharp and hadn't cut deep enough to reach the bone.
However, that didn't mean they were minor injuries as the crazed thug began to repeatedly hack away at his arms until he suddenly blacked out.
He had been too focused on slashing apart Xavier's arms and laughing crazily that he hadn't noticed that the weak-looking cop had been able to take down all three of her opponents.
After doing so and turning to the masked figure, who she knew was already injured severely, she bolted towards him when seeing that his arms were being carved up.
Whacking the knife-wielding maniac on the back of the head as hard as she could with her baton, she took down the man that was holding Xavier down in a single strike.
"Get up, we got to get you to a hospital quickly," she said as she shook him frantically.
From the puddle of blood that he was lying in and all the visible injuries all around his body, she was afraid that he would die.
The black tracksuit that he was wearing was all damp in his blood as he put down his arms after the onslaught of slashes ended, letting out a sigh of relief.
-
Seeing the face of the cop, he couldn't help but be relieved and take back all the things he had previously thought about her.
He still could barely see and her words weren't registered by his brain, as he began regaining his consciousness that had begun to fade away, but he was greatly amazed by her.
Xavier thought she would be a burden and had been too focused on his opponents to care about her safety, leaving her to face three opponents while he also fought three.
However, not only did she manage to defeat her opponents, but she also saved him after his body and mind began collapsing.
What a capable and crazy cop.
