Chapter 239: Successfully Brewing An Elixir

The essence condensation is the final step in the pill concoction. When all the essence merges together, one needs to control the flame for pill formation.

Sweat trickled from Hua Yewan's face as her expression remained calm. But suddenly, the cauldron began to rumble violently. 

Spiritual qi burst from her body as she tried to suppress the rumblings. But after some time, black smoke came out from the cauldron.

The crowd sighed as they understood what it meant. 

The pill concoction had failed.

Hua Yewan sighed but she was quick enough to remove all the scrap and used another set of herbs in no time.

Yang Shi's Celestial View was activated from the beginning as he watched all the process.

  He was able to catch the minute mistake made by Hua Yewan, which caused her pill concoction to fail.

  After watching the pill concocting technique of Hua Yewan, Yang Shi made many mental notes. He compared his elixir brewing technique and was able to notice his mistake.

Hua Yewan's second concoction was even faster than her first concoction. 

She quickly sorted the herbs and extracted the essence. Her spiritual qi was running nonstop and she was getting faster.

  In just half an hour, she already extracted the essence from herbs. She already reached the pill formation stage.

She made hand signs again as the flaming bird flapped its wings as it suddenly divided into four smaller birds. 

Each bird guarded one direction of the cauldron. The crowd became amazed at the flame manipulations.

After another fifteen minutes, the flames puffed out as Hua Yewan stopped the pill concoction. A rich medicinal aroma spread out as she opened the cauldron lid.

Seven pills popped out from it.

Her maid came running with a towel and a basin of freshwater.

  " I am fine!" Hua Yewan wiped her sweat as she shook her head.

" Two normal pills, four low grade, and one mid grade Clear Water Pill. Very good!" Elder Mu laughed as she clapped.

" You will receive your alchemy batch and uniform shortly." The three elders nodded as they made their decision. Hua Yewan bowed as she got up.

The people again swarmed around her like bees around flowers.

" Miss Hua is a beauty with brain indeed."

" Lady Hua, can you dispel my doubts regarding alchemy?"

"  Lady Hua! I need your alchemy technique!"

The crowd started to shout again as they were congratulating Hua Yewan.

She didn't express any sort of emotion, only a calm face. But then,

" I must congratulate Lady Flower Princess for becoming a Master grade alchemist." Hearing a voice, Hua Yewan suddenly stopped as she looked at the owner of the voice.

" Quite a pleasant surprise to see Young noble Yang here." Hua Yewan's eyes brightened as she suddenly pushed the crowd and walked toward Yang Shi.

"  I must thank you for your notes. It really helped much to comprehend the foundation of alchemy." Hua Yewan smiled.

  " As long as a beauty is appeased, I won't mind helping her." Yang Shi laughed. But suddenly, he felt strange as he looked at the crowd.

The crowd was giving him a death glare, especially the youngsters. 

Yang Shi felt their eyes are spilled flames of jealousy and anger. 

Yang Shi felt if emotions can turn into such flames, his soul might have been incinerated by their glares.

" Is that so? I am returning back to Firmament City. I hope when Young noble has time, he would visit me." She laughed as she turned around.

" Are you causing trouble for me? At this rate, all the young men of the kingdom will line to beat me." Yang Shi sighed.

" Young noble is capable enough to deal with that." Hua Yewan laughed as she walked away, 

Her peal of laughter was like bells ringing, which was soothing to hear. Yang Shi became stunned, but then he smiled wryly.

Yang Shi could feel the dark cloud of anger above the crowd.

" Hiss! Who is that young man? Why the hell Lady Hua is getting friendly with him?

" Damn it! Lady Hua laughed with him! There is definitely something between them!"

" Fuck! His face is making infuriated. I will beat him to a pulp!" A young man hissed.

Yang Shi shrugged at the response as he also walked away. He reached the treasure hall and asked Cheng Yu to give him a cultivation room in Southwood Peak.

" You want to go to the Southwood Peak to cultivate?" Cheng Yu's eyes were widened in surprise. " Yes, I need the top quality room there." Yang hi nodded

Southwood Peak is near the Herb garden of Longevity Hall, so that place is rich in spiritual qi and Wood qi. 

Many alchemists save their points to spend time in Southwood Peak as not only does it raise one's cultivation speed, but concocting pills there has a higher chance of success.

" I am sorry, currently all the rooms are full in Southwood Peak. You need to wait at least two days to get a room. One day in the top quality room there requires one hundred points." Cheng Yu shook his head.

" Damn! Anyway, When the top most room gets emptied, reserve it for me. If I don't get back in two days, then cancel the reservation." Yang Shi spoke.

Yang Shi hurriedly went to his allotted residence in the Longevity Hall and entered the pill refining room. 

He placed his golden cauldron there and prepared all the medicinal herbs. His spirit flame ignited as he threw herbs in the cauldron.

Yang Shi's hands moved like a serpent as he controlled the flame. 

He also controlled his Gold Devil Seal to remove any Metal qi from his Spirit flame.

  His Celestial View was monitoring the minute changes in the cauldron.

Yang Shi slowly started to extract the essence from herbs as they slowly mixed. 

" Hahh!" 

Yang Shi clenched his fist as the flame bloomed like a flower. After that, he extinguished the flame.

Inside the cauldron was yellow earth colored liquid, with the amount of two bottles. Yang Shi sniffed the scent as he thought,

  " This should be a Strength Elixir." He muttered

He filled a bottle with Strength elixir and gulped it. A rich taste went down his throat as he circulated the elixir's energy.

  Although it was quite negligible for him, he felt his muscles grow as his strength increased slightly.

But it wasn't weird as Yang Shi's body was much more unusual than other cultivators. 

Firstly, He has Nine Saints Extreme Yang Skeleton and Immemorial Evil Yin Veins, moreover, his body was tempered by sharp Metal qi. So the elixir had almost no effect on him.

" I should try some low-level cultivator to try them out." Yang Shi thought. Just because it was ineffective for him, it wasn't useless at all.

He drank the remaining elixir and started to brew a new Strength Elixir. 

This time, with his boosted confidence, he changed some herbs and quickly brewed another set, filling three bottles.

He went back to Cheng Yu to post a mission.

" I need to post a mission. I need three persons, with the cultivation of Fifth stage of Primordial Spirit Realm or lower."

" Even the Spiritual Ascension realm will be enough. Need to test a new medicine. The reward will be a hundred thousand gold coins." Yang Shi said.

" New medicine?!!" Cheng Yu's expression turned sharp as he looked at Yang Shi. 

" Why not give a sample to Longevity Hall? We can even give a reward for that." He said hastily.

A new pill can cause a huge ruckus in the entire kingdom. Longevity Hall always sought after pill recipes and pill refining methods, even it's damaged or incomplete.

  " No, Thanks. Since the medicine is still incomplete, I can't say anything about it. Let my master decide upon this." Yang Shi chuckled as he lied. He realized he needed to pull some tricks beforehand to avoid any suspicion.

" Your master? Who is he? Wait, Why would you have an Alchemist as the master?" Cheng Yu was bewildered as he asked.

  " You don't need to know." Yang Shi said coolly.

After posting the mission there, he went out from the Longevity Hall and headed for the Central market. 

But then, he frowned as he saw several people approaching him. And looking at their faces, they were up to no good.
