Chapter 802  Glassvolt Heir [Ko-Fi Donation Bonus Chapter]

[Class: Throne of Glassvolt Heir]

Sylas didn't even bother to look at the details of the Class. He was so completely focused that even the tingling sensation of Glassvolt Aether shooting through his body didn't faze him in the slightest bit.

From the moment he saw the abilities of the Lightning Sylphs, he knew that this would be the final step of his Path of the Mancer.

Until now, what he lacked the most in was raw attacking power. Glass Aether was very good at area control and defense, but what it lacked in the most was offensive prowess.

Now, he had finally found the perfect method of completing this step.

But in the end…

It was just the first step.

He hadn't suffered through all of that humiliation to stop here. And he certainly wouldn't be stepping out of here after forcing Casstle Main to fight what was likely a bloody war all on its own for an entire two days to a long, drawn-out battle of attrition.

If he was going to step onto a battlefield right now, it would be to vent the ball of fiery rage in his chest right this moment.

Never in his life had he felt more uncomfortable than he did right now.

And someone would have to pay for it.

Since it couldn't be Ulrik or Nyssa just yet.

It was going to have to be the Coalition government.

Sylas reached out and grabbed. His hand shattered the crystal ball the Body Essence Refinement Secret was within and the world warped around him.

Sylas found himself in a bland world.

Secret Realms came in many shapes and forms. Until now, the only form he knew of was the kind the Rune Mastery challenges came in.

Those worlds were mostly illusory, testing the mind and sending in projections of the Will to face the challenge.

However, this Secret Realm was different. Sylas' actual body had appeared.

Instead of a white fog, it was filled with a misty greyness. The world didn't seem to have anything of interest… until one looked down.

An ancient platform stood, forged of aged, mossed-over rock that somehow both looked like it could crumble at any moment and stand the test of millions of years more.

The old rock had deep grooves in it, and at the center, right where Sylas stood, there was a platform with rattling chains.

A wave of information entered Sylas' mind and he quickly understood.

The chains were actually for himself. To hold himself down so that he didn't run away from the inevitable bouts of pain.

Sylas was indifferent to it all.

One after another, he began to bring out the corpses of Dustspark Vipers.

The Dustspark Viper was a Serpentes with yellowed and brown scales. It looked like quite a warm and inviting creature actually, quite cute compared to what one would expect of most snakes.

But this wasn't the important part.

From what Sylas could tell, they were distant relatives of the Glassinox.

Not to be confused with the Glasirith, the Glassinox was a Quasi Silver Grade Serpentes of exceptional strength, and it wielded Glassvolt Aether much like the current Sylas.

However, because the Dustspark Viper was so far away in lineage, there was no direct path to becoming a Glassinox. Even if there was, Sylas wouldn't be very interested in it.

Because he had more important uses for these Dustspark Genes, and Blood and Bone Essence.

Sylas began to use Extricate in a furious rhythm.

Blood Essence looked no different from blood of a deeper color. Sometimes, it would have various hues or Runes dancing within depending on the strength of the target's lineage, but if one squinted, even if there might be hints of other colors, it was still ultimately just blood.

A vast quantity of blood—especially when the target was so large—but blood nonetheless.

Bone Essence, however, was different. It looked a lot like bone marrow, and maybe that was precisely what it was. It had a mixture of solidity and fluidity to it, flecks of solid dancing within it.

The main difference between Blood and Bone Essence wasn't just the layering. Though, compared to the other layers, they were quite closely interconnected.

In fact, they were the only ones of the layers that experienced lines blurring like this.

Still, the way Sylas saw it, Blood Essence was there to support the organs and muscles, it could decide things like how powerful one's heart was or how quickly one's muscle recovered.

Of course, this also, most importantly, extended to training. Someone with higher talent would train faster, recovering with greater ease and being able to take more punishment.

Bone Essence obviously produced Blood Essence in part, but it also functioned on a deeper layer. It was interconnected with the actual skeletal system and formed the truest foundation of one's body.

No matter how powerful one's blood, if there wasn't a frame capable of holding it up, then one would end up suffering a great deal.

Together, other than Race Essence itself, they were the most important factors to the power of one's body.

If Physical Genes were just gracing the surface, they provided an underlying support to prop it all up, raising the efficiency of their usage.

In addition, Sylas could faintly tell that he would have to strengthen his Blood and Bone Essence a great deal if he wanted to compress as many F-Grade Genes as possible before progressing to the E-Grade.

And that was precisely why he was here…

At least in part.

In truth, he was here for two main reasons.

The first was to stabilize his body. He had the Dual Class Constitution and could take a lot more punishment, but his Constitution was practically like an empty cup right now, his Blood and Bone Essence only able to fill it in small measures.

Now, it was time to forcefully expand that and reach his truest potential.

As for the second reason, it tied into the first.

He was making space for his Legendary Class.
